Altenew Rose Belle Vue

Hi Lovelies...

I got this fabulous Altenew Rose Belle Vue Embossing folder recently - after being inspired by Therese at @lostinpaper - and decided to use some of my Distress Ink pads to watercolour with.  I did try colouring first before embossing as Therese had done, but I struggled getting the colours in the right places.... so for this one I coloured AFTER I'd embossed.

Then I splattered with gold watercolour, adding a few gold sequins and a sentiment before adhering to my card base - and it was done!

Hope you like...

Stamping Bella Frida Loves Frosty

Hi Lovelies...

Well I've seen a few pink skies around in card-making lately - and you know what I'm like with pink........ so I HAD to try one for my Bellarific Friday card this week.

I've used the gorgeous Frida Loves Frosty as it's one of my favourite of all  snowman images.  I coloured and fussy cut the image, then created a background by blending Distress Inks in pinks.  I stamped the blended panel with a snowflake background stamp using Versamark, then heat embossing with a white sparkle embossing powder.  Then all I had to do was adhere the image to the background, and matt it onto my deep pink card.

I created a background using Distress Oxides and splattering with white for the snow..  then added a little hillside for the snowmen to stand on.  I coloured and fussy cut them, so they could play in the corner.  After adhering them, I added a few gems, and it was done.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl Winter Friends

Hi Lovelies...

It's time for another Stamp of the Month card at Stamping Bella..  this time around it's these gorgeous Bundle Girl Winter Friends..  they are out for a walk in the snow and are collecting berries.  You can get this image and sentiment for half price throughout November!

I stamped the image, then stamped another onto masking paper, so I could mask the image and use Distress Oxides to blend the sky.  After removing the mask, I coloured with Copics and then stamped the sentiment that comes with the image, adding a few sequins here and there.

LOTV Snowglobes

Hey Peeps...

For my card today, I've again used a stamp from the LOTV Snowglobes stamp set... this time the Snowman took my eye.  I've used a similar layout to the card I made previously with this set, blending Distress Oxides and splattering with white acrylic paint.

This time, I used a different word die though - this is one from Clearly Besotted that I've had for a few years now..  I'm afraid it's not available any longer.

Card Info:
Image - LOTV Snowglobes Stamp Set
Die - Clearly Besotted Merry Christmas

Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Devil

Hi Lovelies...

Today, for Bellarific Friday, we're using stamps from the new release at Stamping Bella.  I've got to say that this Curvy Girl Devil that I chose to use is one of my favourite images of all time!!

I coloured and fussy cut her (yes - even round those prongs on the tripod) - then created a background by stencilling through a rectangle, blending Distress Oxides in flame colours.  I adhered the image with 3D foam pads, then stamped the sentiment, adding a few sequins and my card was finished.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Distress Oxides - Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Candied Apple
Stencil - Taylored Expression Rectangles
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair - E21/23/25
Reds - R24/27/46 E57
Tripod - T1

I was thrilled how this card turned out - now I've only got to decide which of my friends actually receives it!

Pretty Pink Posh Small Stitched Foliage

Hey Lovelies...

Well Autumn/Fall is in the air...  so I thought I'd do a couple of cards which celebrate the beauty of the season.  I look at the trees and there are such wonderful colours and shades, that it's really difficult to capture... but I've done my best.

I've used the Small Stitched Foliage dies from Pretty Pink Posh... and an Autumn word die from Stamping Bella that's now retired, but still remains a favourite in my stash.

For my first card, I've used some cream Bazzill linen card for my background.. and some kraft for the base.  I used Distress Oxides for the colouring - blending them onto cardstock before die cutting.

For the second I used dark brown card with the cream - which makes it a stronger card, so I used Distress Inks for the colours - they show up so much brighter than the oxides.  I've got to admit, I can't decide which I prefer more.

Card Info:
Dies - Pretty Pink Posh Small Stitched Foliage, Stamping Bella Autumn
Distress Oxides - Scattered Straw, Carved Pumpkin, Brushed Corduroy,
Abandoned Coral, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint
Distress Inks - Same as above

Hope you like my Fall makes...  I do love the beautiful colours of nature on dry crisp Autumn days.

Stamping Bella Squidgy and Teddy

Hi Lovelies...

Bellarific Friday is here again - this time we're using stamps from the current Stamp of the Month range...  so this time it's Squidgies!

I've chosen to use the gorgeous Squidgy with Teddy...  it's such a cute image as the teddy is as big as the little girl!  I know my daughters have had massive teddies in their time, but nothing quite as big as this...

I coloured the image on a die cut rectangular panel.. then I stamped the sentiment alongside, using cocoa brown ink which I thought matched the image well...  BUT... then I smudged the sentiment while it was still wet.. so had to think of a plan to rescue the coloured image.  So I stamped the sentiment again and die cut it to add over the smudged one... and hey presto, it was saved!

Card Info:
Dies - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair - E21/23/25
Dress and shoes - BG10/11/13
Teddy - E30/31/33/34/35/79 Heart -  R83/85
Shading and Grounding - T0/1/3

Hope you like my make today - I'm afraid it's getting more and more difficult at this time of year in the UK to photograph cards... the light isn't good and the true colours don't often show at first go!

LOTV Snowglobes

Hi Lovelies...

I was inspired last month by a Christmas card I saw created by @elinheve (thank you for the inspiration!) - so I ordered the stamp set and went to work creating my card.

I did some no lines colouring for the car, then I created the background by blending Distress Oxides - then splattering with white acrylic paint.  I added some stickles beneath the card too - can't have too much sparkle!

I die cut the sentiment 3 times and layered it together to give depth, adhering it to my sky - then finished with some crystal gems.  I layered the panel onto navy cardstock and it was done.

Card Info:
Image - LOTV Snowglobes Stamp Set
Sentiment - Mama Elephant word die
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire
Colouring - Copics
Reds - R24/27/46
Greens - YG25/17 G99
Wheels - T1/3/5/7
Windows - Y21/23

I was really happy with how my card turned out...  and I have lots more images in the set to use too so watch this space!

Stamping Bella Oddball Coco

Hey Peeps...

Another Bellarific Friday has rolled around - and this time we're using images that aren't from the current release.  Now this lady has been hinting that it may be her turn in the spotlight, so out she came.... this is Oddball Coco - and though in real life, Coco Chanel probably never wore pink polka dot trousers, I decided to do as the quote says, and be myself - and I WOULD wear those if they came in my size!

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then created a background using a rectangle stencil and some distress oxides.  I stamped the sentiment over the rectangle, adhered the image with foam pads, then added a few gems to finish.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Stencil - Taylored Expressions Rectangle
Distress Oxides - Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11
Clothes - RV52/63/55/19/69 G12/14 RV91

Hope you like my card today as much as I enjoyed making it.  Don't forget to pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more inspiration, and also to the Facebook Sistahood page where you can share and chat all things Bella related.

Have a good weekend...

RAM Stamps Polar Bear Ride

Hi There...

There's some fabulous new digi images from Rachelle this month - have you spotted them? For my card today I've used Polar Bear Ride - it's so darn cute!  That little boy looks like he's holding on tight to get home with his Christmas tree!

I used Distress Oxides for my background - then stamped with a twinkly background - so there's lots of sparkle.  I printed, coloured and then fussy cut the image..  laying it on the card panel so that I could see where to print the sentiment that comes with the image.  Lastly, I adhered the coloured image with 3D foam pads to my card, then matted and layered onto some navy cardstock.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - RAM Digi Stamps Polar Bear Ride
Background Stamp - Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Background
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles

Hope you like my card today.  Digital images are so fabulous as you can decide exactly what size you want to print them to create a perfect layout.... and then there's no storage problems either!

Stamping Bella Smoochie Squidgie

Hi Lovelies...

Today it's Friday, so that means another Bellarific Friday card... and as it's the first Friday of the month - it's Stamp of the Month time too!  This time it's this gorgeous Smoochie Squidgie which you can get at half price throughout October!

And yes - it's me, using yellow again!!  I coloured and fussy cut her...  then I created a watercolour smooshed background panel which I splattered with gold.  I stamped the sentiment on a scrap part of the panel too.  I then adhered the panel and sentiment to my card base.... adding some die cut twirly borders in gold mirri card.  Finally I adhered my Squidgie with foam pads to give depth.

Card Info:
Die - Papertrey Ink Loup de Loup II
Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, and Fossilized Amber
Colouring - Copics
Hair and Shoes - E21/23
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Dress - Y13/15/18/38 YR24
Gold Mirri Card and Watercolour Paint
Stickles

I'm sorry that you can't see the gold on my card on my photographs - it makes such a difference in real life!  There's also glittery stickles in her hair - but it was a rainy day so quite dark when I photographed the card, so that isn't showing either!

Altenew Fragrant Florals

Hi There....

Today I'm sharing another card I made with the fabulous Fragrant Florals Stamp, Stencil and Die set from Altenew.  I've coloured it with pink previously in a post a while back, but decided to try it in blue this time.

I used the stencil set to start with some Altenew Inks...  I have lots of the little cube sets which were perfect for this stencilling.  Then I stamped the image - making ultra sure that the stamp was correctly positioned.  Lastly, I used the die to cut the image.   After stamping the sentiment, I added the image to my card with 3D foam pads to give depth.  Then I added a tiny bit of stickles to the flower centres, and some gorgeous little gems and it was done.

Card Info:
Image, Stencil, Die and Sentiment - Altenew Fragrant Florals
Water Droplet Gems
Stickles

I do love the effect of the stencilled flowers and leaves... and know I will used this set lots in the future!  Do you find that like me, you have certain stamps or stencils that you go back to again and again??
