Luscious Lace time at In The Pink

Hi Lovely Blogging Buddies...

It's time for another challenge at In The Pink - and this time our theme is Luscious Lace - so out came my stash of lace to find 'just the right' bit for my card!

I fell in love with this Sherri Baldy image when one of the lovely Pink Ladies (Helene who left The Pink Palace a few weeks back), used it on one of her beautiful creations.  This gorgeous fairy has been waiting to be coloured - and I thought this would be the perfect occasion for her first outing!

Supplies:
Paper: Maja Designs - Sofiero
Dies: Spellbinders Floral Oval, Lil' Inkers Stitched Hearts
Lace, Ribbon and Pearl Trimming from Stash
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E34, E23
Pinks: RV91, RV95
Blue Shading: B0000, B000, Promarker Pastel Blue
White Pen for dots on shading

Hope you like what I did, I really enjoyed colouring this little lady - you know the feeling when you KNOW it's going well??

Hope you'll take a minute to check out the challenge at In The Pink - and hopefully to join in too - I'd love to see you there!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

Hollybobs!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Today I'm here with my Digi Queen DT card for Polka Doodles...  I must be feeling in the festive mood!

I've used the gorgeous 'Presents' image - she's from the Work and Play 5 Festive Hollybobs Collection CD.  And I also used some of the digi paper from the same collection.... it really is brim full of fabulous Christmas images!

Copics:
Skin E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E21, E34, E23
Dress and Headband: R24, R29, R46., E57
Holly: G21, G99
Shading: W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, plus plenty of blender pen
I used a Sharpie Poster Paint Pen for the white dots.

Supplies:
Dies: Lil' Inkers Stitched Square and Stitched Banner, CC Designs Holly
Sentiment - PC generated
Ribbon, Glossy Accents and Glitter from Stash

I do love colouring in red, but it's tricky, as it can so easily bleed - but I think I did OK here.  As you can see, I'm also experimenting with the shading around the image...  trouble is I never know when to stop!  And if you like the dotty dress and headband - they're easily done with a white gel pen or (like I did), a Sharpie Poster Paint Pen.

Why don't you take a peek over at the Polka Doodles blog HERE to see what the other DT members have got up to..  you'll find tons of fabulous inspiration from the talented lovelies that I'm so proud to be working alongside!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting

I love SANTA!

Hi Lovely Friends...

Yep... I admit.... I have a weakness for a lovely little Santa... and this one drawn by Birdie Brown is no exception!  Now I bought this image as a digi from Birdie Brown last year (and used it a lot!).... but I now see that's not available in digi form any more.  BUT... the good news is that MFT are selling a set of clear stamps - designed by Birdie - including the three Santa's that I love!  It's called Jingle All The Way.

This isn't a DT card - it's just because I needed to make something that didn't have to use a particular make of image or theme...   I think we all have to do that every now and again don't we?

Soooo  here's what I did:  The sky was created with DI colours blended together...  then I used a Uni Posca Marker for the falling snow.  I used a Paper Smooches Stitched Borders die for the hills...  then framed it all with a Lil' Inkers Stitched Square - with a square aperture cut out.    The trees are from a Mariannes Creatables die and are liberally splattered with stickles...  and lastly... the word Christmas IS NOT a peel-off just in case you were wondering!  It's a word die from Memory Box - soooooo difficult to adhere to the card - I ended up using a double sided sheet stuck to the back of the gold mirri card..  did the diecutting, then had to try and get one to part from the other!  Hmmmm NOT so easy!  It stuck everywhere I didn't want it to stick, until I tried to put it where it should be on the card, when it decided IT DIDN'T want to stick at all!  It wasn't really the size I wanted it to be either... but hey...  it was all I had so it had to do.

  Ain't he just the cutest??

Copic Colours:
Santa: R29, R37, R56, R89, E57
Belt C5, C9
Beard and Shading C1, C2
Face: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

Big hugs to all.... and big thanks for bearing with me just lately - things are still happening in my world so it's difficult to get time for commenting - but I'll try my best.

No fibs... just the truth!

Hi Ladies....

Hope you're all well...  and hugs for those that aren't..  I'm having a few computer issues at the mo (getting used a new one and having to relearn everything over again!)... and there's lots of other things going on in the family - so I may be quiet and a little stressed... but I'm still around..

Today I'm here with my fortnightly inspiration post for Sugar Nellie..

I've used 'Time Together' - available HERE from the store at Funky Kits.

She came in digi format, and was a joy to colour (as are all the fairies).  Now, the no fibs bit.... I could tell you that I wanted to just focus on the image by not putting any more details... but that would be a lie as I just ran out of time so had to throw this together quickly!  And I could tell you that it's perfect... but it isn't, as I put the little postmark stamp upside down!  I mean... who ever heard of being able to put a circle 'upside down'?  Hmmmf!  But I had no time to even cover it with a snowflake, so sorry, it stays! LOL!

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R04, R20
Hair E21, E25
Dress: RV91, R81, R81
Gifts RV91, R81, R83, C1, C2
Hat and Jacket: G20, G21, G82, YG63
Shading N0, N2, N4, Blender Pen

Basically I used my Copics to colour.....  an LOTV Festive Trimmings 8 x 8 pad of Christmas paper.. a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch... a Lil' Inkers Stitched Square Die.. and a little postmark stamp from LOTV.

Big hugs to all and Happy Crafting..

Going Dotty!!!

Hi Lovely Blogging Buddies...

Here I am today back well and truly in my PINK world... with my DT card for our new challenge at In The Pink!

The challenge theme this time is to use DOTS AND/OR STRIPES - so I thoroughly enjoyed going through my paper stash to see what I could come up with!!  (Memo to self: I REALLY need to clear out that stash!)

And then a little bit of inspiration hit me..(it sometimes does you know!), Mr Mojo knocked on the door..  hmmmm...  in actual fact, I spotted this little lady that I had bought and printed out a few months back but hadn't got around to colouring.  HA!!  She has spots AND stripes - perfect for this theme!!  I've got to admit, I really loved colouring her...  the hair went so well...  and then everything else followed in the same way....  the right papers showed themselves, the layout...  the sentiment... the fussy cutting (I didn't manage to cut a leg off which HAS HAPPENED before), so it was one of those days when it all went right!

Don't you just LOVE this little sassy lady??  I certainly do!

Supplies:
Sentiment: Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler
Papers: Stripes - Pink Petticoat Ribbon Stripes Digi, My Minds Eye Dots
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Borders, MFT Dienamics Blueprints 12 (for tab)
Copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair - E21, E25, E29
Dress and Ribbon - R81, R83, R85, G82 , C1, C2

Hope you like what I've done today and you'll stop by and say hello... it's always lovely to hear from you so I know you've visited - and I can then return the favour too!

We'll hopefully see you over at IN THE PINK - the challenge is open for two weeks, so there's plenty of time for you to dig out your pink!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

Polka Doodles - Halloween!!

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm here with another Halloween card (not my FAVOURITE sort of card you'll know if you know me well as I live in a world of pinks and pastels)...  but what the heck, I thought I'd throw my all into it...

I used Amelia Witch Toad digi stamp from Polka Doodles - she's the cutest witch I've seen for a while - and she has a penchant for glitter!!  I used a mix of Copics and Promarkers for her colouring.... then dotted the background to create a sort of magical effect.  The glitter is through her hair, on her robe, and even on her socks.... the toad is looking a little disgusted by all the shiney stuff landing by his feet - but he did escape getting any on him!
Here's the list of Copics and Promarkers I used:
Grays/Blacks C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
Greens G21, G07, Promarkers Pine and Fresh Meadow
Purples BV00, V17, Promarker Aubergine
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Die: MFT Dienamics Stars
Embossing Folder - Crafts Too

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=6991

Go on over the the blog HERE to see what the other Digi Queens have come up with - I promise you're in for a treat!

Now can I get back to my pinks and pastels.... PLEASE???

Ooooh and can I just say a big hello to my new followers... and give a mahoosive welcome to my little bit of cyberspace.... I'm chuffed that you decided to follow me - I do like to share my passion!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

Sugar Nellie - Penguin Party!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends..

Today it's my turn to share a make at Sugar Nellie... and for this one I chose to use the gorgeous Penguin Party...  available from Funky Kits HERE.  As penguins seem to be very popular at the moment, and as I haven't used one for a long time, I thought I needed to dig out my black and greys - and some blues too - as they live in BRRRRRR.... cold places!!
Supplies: Image - Sugar Nellie Penguin Party, Paper: LOTV Frosty Christmas paper pad, Martha Stewart punched snowflake, Lil' Inkers Stitched Square die, Glitter and Gem
Copics: penguin - C1, C3, C5, C9, 100  Feet  and beak -Y35, YR24  Scarf and Hat -B60, B12, B91,
Holly and Parcel  - G82, YG11, Berries - R46, Shading - N0, N2, N4

Now then... I didn't own up yet as to what I bought at the Harrogate Papercraft Show.... so here's a pic below:

More than I meant to get, as I really just went for a mooch around!!  It was fabulous that some lovely crafters (Lorraine and Stacey) recognised me from my blog pic and said hello so we could have a quick chat...  and I also met up with Avril B too and had a natter!

And I also have to own up that I had a little spend lately at Simon Says Stamp - and Clearly Besotted too.... oooh and I found a fabbie new site to order from - Sprinkle -Twinkle (what a fab name - and such quick service too).  More details on them when I use the gorgeous Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake die I got from them in the very near future!

But isn't it odd that after all that spend - it's the small things tickle me most!!  I got some glitter emery boards - and one is PINK!!  They are seriously GORGEOUS!

OK... enough rambling from me!!

Have a lovely day and Happy Crafting!

Big hugs

In The Pink time again... get your bone-folder out!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends....

It's time again for another challenge at In The Pink.... and this time our theme is FANCY FOLD..  Easy to do, but NOT so easy to photograph!! hehe!  But I've done my best to show you what I made and how it opens..

This card was a card that didn't want to play with me........  you know that feeling??  Everything I tried went wrong... and though it looks relatively Clean and Simple.... it took me AGES!! lol! So please don't be too hard on me... and remind me next time to choose the paper BEFORE I colour!

Also, I tend to leave cards like this blank so that they can be used for any occasion.. (OK... so I couldn't decide on which sentiment to use...)

Copics and Promarkers - Dress and Flowers: RV91, RV43, R81, Promarkers Blossom and Orchid;  Hair: E21, E34, E23,  Greens done with Prismacolour Pencils..

Supplies: Image - Crafters Companion Angelica and Adam - Bunches of Joy, Paper - Fizzy Moon 8 x 8 pad - Celebrations, Glitter, Gems and Pearl Trimming from stash

Hope you'll pop over to In The Pink and see what we've been up to.. and maybe join in the folding!
