Half Circles - Just Because

Hi Lovelies...

I spotted a card last week by @itsacardknocklife and was so inspired, I had to try the design!  She'd done a bit of a tutorial and was happy for others to be inspired - it just shows what we can make with very simple bits of stash and a clever design.

It's done with three different size circles... cut in half.  Then as you can see, they're adhered to each other in the opposite way.  Again, I dug out my older embossing folders and found this one for the background.  Then I adhered the half circles so the middle ones matched each other, with foam tape.

Lastly I added a leaf sprig cut from the same pink I'd used on the card, again with foam tape under the leaves that needed a lift.  A tiny sentiment was the finishing touch,

I'd like to again thank Melinda for the amazing inspiration - I know this is going to be a popular card that I'll be making more of for lots of occasions!  And it uses up lots of patterned paper scraps.  Hope you like it too...

Spellbinders Layered Anemone

Hi Lovelies..

Today my card is made with a lot of my older stash!  After seeing a similar embossing folder used, I dug out this one that I've had for years and years, it's from Stamping Up.  I cut it down to a small square, then added a couple of die cut flowers that I'd coloured and added glitter to.  I added the embossed square to a stitched square, and then matted that with foam tape to my card panel.

Lastly, I added a tiny sentiment from an old Clearly Besotted sentiment set, and it was done.

Digi Darla Blessing from Heaven Baby Boy

Hi Lovelies..

For today's card, I have used an older digi image (I have LOTS on my PC!), to make a new baby card, which my daughter wanted to sent to her sister-in-law.

I've used this image lots before, I love how clean the image is and it makes for a very simple card.  It's from Digi Darla - and has probably been in my stash for 10 years or so!

I printed the image then die cut the square around it, colouring the image then adding glitter to the moon.  Then I created a background with dotty blue card, matted onto a white card base.  I made a tiny sentiment on the PC which I added at the base.

Joe's 40th

Hi Peeps...

Today, my card is a very simple one for my son-in-law's 40th birthday!

I die cut the numbers, adhering them to a die cut square of white.  Then I diecut a larger square for the background, smooshing it with some Distress Oxides...  I was really happy how the colours turned out.

Then I did the matting and layering onto a white, square card base, and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - Numbers - Papertrey Ink
Squares - Li'l Inkers Designs
Distress Oxides - Stormy Sky, Prize Ribbon,
and Faded Jeans

So very CAS, but I think quite effective for a card for a man - I think he loved it.

Concord & 9th Blissful Blooms

Hi Lovelies...

Firstly, apologies that I've not been posting much lately.  I have actually been making and creating, but seem to struggle to get to actually posting them here or on Instagram!  Goodness knows why...  but I promise to put more online!

Now my card today is inspired by one that Kristina Werner made using her gorgeous Blissful Blooms Stencil Set from Concord and 9th.  I saw the card she'd made with it, and HAD to have a go!  I must admit, it took me a couple of goes to actually get it right..  but I was determined!  I created a 5" x 7" card, and stencilled through using the colours she suggested from C & 9.

The card was for my daughter who reached this milestone birthday in December., so I used gold mirri card to die cut the frame and the numbers to adhere to the background.

Card Info:

Dies - Papertrey Ink Numbers, Birthday Wishes,
MFT Stitched Scalloped Frame
Concord & 9th Inkpads - Ballet, Briar Rose, Powder, Harbor,
Creamsicle, Buttercup
Gold Mirri Card

I have to say a big thank you to Kristina for the inspiration - I hope now I've mastered using this stencil set to use it in different ways in the near future...  but I do find it's always better to firstly use what's been used by the designer to 'get it right!'

Big hugs...

Hi Lovelies...

As this is my first post this year, I'd like to wish you a Happy 2026 to you all!

Now...  my card..  I have a lovely friend who is struggling at the moment, and I wanted to send her a hug.  So I used this fabulous older image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps called Olive..  she certainly looks like she needs a big hug!  I coloured her with Copics, then did a bit of die cutting and embossing on a bit of card that I'd created by smooshing, before adding the image and a tiny sentiment I'd made on the PC.

Yes... it's another Snowman!

Hi Lovlies...

Well, this is my last Christmas card this year, and again, I’ve used my favourite Snowman! This time, I created a background by blending distress inks, then using a @tayloredexpressions twinkle large stamp.. heat embossed with sparkly white.

I coloured and fussy cut the snowman, shaping him with an embossing tool and adhering him to the card with foam pads. Lastly I added a tiny sentiment from MFT.

Now… I’d just like to wish all of my crafty friends and followers a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a wonderfully crafty new year! Thank you for all the likes, comments, love and support I’ve received throughout 2025! ❤️

LOTV Reindeer Trio

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm back with a few cards I made with an older stamp set from LOTV - the Reindeer Trio!  I have lots of LOTV stamps... I really must get around to sorting them!  Anyways... this one caught my eye, so out it came to be coloured up...

After colouring, I die cut the images, using the 'out of the line' technique, where you use scissors to cut up to the inner circle around the scarf etc, so that it doesn't get cut with the die... sorry that's not a good description, but hopefully you get it!

Then I added the reindeers onto a card panel that I'd stamped with a small sentiment from Poppy Stamps.  I matted that onto coloured card stock, then onto my card.  I added some glitter to the image too, but it's not showing on the photo.

And this is the red version!

Card Info:

Sentiment - Poppy Stamps
Dies - Li'l Inkers Stitched Circle

I made a few of these cards, as they were so easy.. think they may have to be put in my 'to use' box for next year now!

Winter Scene Eclipse Card 2

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back with a second eclipse card today, this time a slightly different scene, but with the same circle slats used... and adding the diecut reindeer.

To make an eclipse card, the image (which I found online), is printed twice onto card, then one is diecut with a circle slatted die from Craft Addiction UK.  This diecut image is then adhered with foam tape over the uncut image, and finished with glitter (which unfortunately doesn't show on the photo), and matted onto navy card.  I love these reindeer dies, so I added one in the corner.  Again, I didn't think a sentiment was needed.

Winter Scene Eclipse Card 1

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with eclipse cards again - this time for Christmas, and have found a couple of images from png.wing which fitted the bill perfectly for me.

The first one I used was a wreath shape, with a winter scene in the centre.  After printing it twice, sizing it to match the die, I used the circle slatted die set from Craft Addiction UK to cut the top image, placing the other image behind, and adhering it there with thin foam tape.  This just gives a bit of depth between the images.

I matted it on to some navy cardstock to match the image, and give it some twinkle with my glue pen and some iridescent glitter - unfortunately, it doesn't show up on the photographs... grrr!

I did wonder about a sentiment, but felt it was better kept simple with the sentiment inside.

Hope you like my card today...  these eclipse cards are relatively easy and quick to make, and I think, are very effective!

Pretty Pink Posh Winter Trees

Hi Lovelies..

OK I'm a bit late with this post as it went on Instagram on Thursday - but better late than never!

I've used the gorgeous Winter Trees set from Pretty Pink Posh again, this time cutting just the three of the smaller tree die - one in pink glitter card! I cut a stitched rectangle, then placed the trees in a row, using my T square ruler, to get them level!  Lastly, I added a small sentiment below the trees.

The Greetery Mistletoe

Hi Lovelies...

Today my card is another for my Christmas pile..  this time I used the Mistletoe die set from The Greetery.

I cut the mistletoe from card that I'd smooshed with various green Distress Oxides..  then I die cut the berries and coloured them with Copics.  I diecut the rectangle and adhered the mistletoe and berries, then added a bow that I'd cut from glitter card using a die set from Craft Addiction UK.

I adhered the mistletoe to the die cut rectangle, then added the berries.  I used Glossy Accents to give the berries shine and shape.  Then I added a tiny sentiment, heat embossed in gold onto red card.  I added a few sequins too to match the gold, then matted and layered onto kraft card, then red card.

Pretty Pink Posh Winter Trees x 6

Hi Lovelies...

For my card today, I've used the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Trees die set again.... this time using six trees in different colours!  Not really Christmas colours - but colours I love...

I diecut the trees, then splattered them with white and silver - definitely making them wintery! When they were dry, I adhered them to a stitched card panel which I'd die cut, then adhered that to the card.  The most difficult part was getting the trees in a straight line, but I managed!

Lastly, I used a diecut Merry Christmas which I'd cut in silver and white...  I added it with foam pads so it was slightly raised from the trees.

Holly and Berries

Hi Lovelies…

Today, I’ve been diecutting again! This time I’ve used this holly and berries from a set… I diecut them three times and coloured them, before adhering them together. I then covered them in glossy accents to give a shine.

I diecut a scalloped square for the holly to be adhered to… then a red square mat to accentuate the scallops.  I then created an embossed background to adhere to my card.
