The Greetery Bigger Botanicals Soapwort

Hi Peeps...

Today I have a very simple card to share...  I used a gorgeous new die from the Greetery's Bigger Botanicals range - this one is called Soapwort.

I diecut it from white cardstock, then coloured the leaves and petals.  Then I used the separate flowers die, to cut from some pink smooshed card I'd made previously and had left over.  I adhered these flower heads over the original ones.

Then I created a small square panel for them to be adhered to.  I used my tool that creates this scored background (sorry can't remember what the tool is called!) then I adhered that to a plain square, and then onto the card base.  I added the coloured diecut with some gems in the flower centres,  and then a tiny sentiment, and it was done.

Sentiment - sorry, it was in my box of bits so I can't remember!

Hope you like!

Paper Rose Studio Gum Leaf Border Die

Hi Lovelies...

I saw a fabulous card by Natalie Bowers on You Tube the other day and I had to try something similar.

I did some paper smooshing and gold splattering on a panel, which I then laid this border die on and popped it through the diecutting machine but with a foam sheet behind, rather than the cutting plate.  This gave the shape of the border die embossing into the smooshed panel.

Then I die cut a stitched rectangle, and  used the border die again, this time with the cutting plate.  I laid the smooshed panel behind, matching the pattern...  this give the effect  of the smooshed panel actually coming through the leaves....  know what I mean?

I then added this all to a panel of blue card to match the smooshing, then a little sentiment embossed in gold.

Hope you like my make today and can see all the detail...

The Greetery Chocolate Bunnies Die Set

Hi Lovelies...

Well, this week I'm going to catch up sharing some Spring/Easter cards that I made.  Honestly, I've been a bit lazy on the sharing, but not the making, so I have a little pile still to share with you!

For this card, I used the Chocolate Bunnies Die Set from The Greetery, together with a filigree egg frame.  I loved creating the bunny and seeing it come to life, but I haven't decided yet whether a sentiment is required or not!

I cut the filigree egg shape with one of the smaller dies from the set using brown cardstock, then cut it again from white, so I had a centre to add to the border.  I then sat the bunny in pride of place with foam pads!  I adhered it to a square of dotty cardstock and then matted it onto a white square card base.

Hope you like my little chocolate bunny... there is still chocolate left in this house from Easter, so the bunny feels at home!

Waffle Flower Rose Bouquet

Hi Lovelies...

Today I've been feeling summery (even though it's only Spring here!)  So I chose to use these gorgeous roses - they're from Waffle Flower and come in a die and stencil set.

I used the stencils first, blending through with Distress Inks for stronger colours.  After finishing the colour blending, I then used the die to cut the bouquet.  I decided I wanted it in two halves for my card, so went ahead cutting it for the corners.  Once I'd cut for the top corner, I used what was left to place in the bottom corner.  Before I adhered them I created a background using the Lattice Embossing Folder from Spellbinders for the roses to sit against.

I used a Waffle Flower sentiment die which I cut from rose gold matt card, backed with a white shadow.  I placed it diagonally across the card.

Hope you like my make today and are now feeling summery too!

LOTV Easter Tricks

Hey Peeps...

Happy Easter!

I'm sharing a card that I made twice, one each for both of my daughters and their families.  It's an older LOTV digi image, and I really enjoyed colouring it!

After colouring - I added it to my card base, then adhered some silver glitter card, and some patterned paper down one side.  I also used the silver for around the sentiment, which I'd created on the PC using a clear font.

Card Info:

Sentiment - Created on PC
Colouring - Copics
Mouse - W0/1/2/3 R00

I hope you're all having a wonderful Easter, even though the weather isn't the best here in UK!  There are lots of Spring flowers in our garden, so I'm happy!

Waffle Flower Daisies Stencil

Hi Lovelies...

Today I am sharing a very simple card to make, using two stencils - a circular one, and a daisies stencil.

All I did was diecut a stitched rectangle panel, then used the circle stencil, blending a pale pink Distress Oxide through the shape.  Then I used Pixie Spray on the back of the daisy stencil - adding it over the circle stencil, blending darker colours through.  It felt like magic when I removed the stencils to see the effect!

I adhered a gem to each of the flower centres to create sparkle, then added a tiny sentiment which I thought was perfect for the design.

Card Info:
Stencils - Taylored Expressions Circle,
- Waffle Flower Daisies
Sentiment - Wow Designs Happiest Days
Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry,
Saltwater Taffy, Seedless Preserves

I hope you like my card today - I was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest a while ago - but didn't save to my 'inspiration file' at the time, so I can't say thank you to whoever it was.

Big hugs
