Gift Wrapping..

Hi Ladies

Hope you're all well...  I've been ultra-busy this week, so if you were thinking I was MIA... I'm sorry, and I'll be around your blogs soon.  I have a quiet afternoon planned... so computer, here I come..

Now OK.... I give in.... I'm starting my Christmas cards!!  And I'm here today to share my Sugar Nellie DT card.... with this fabulous Christmas fairy!

I've used this gorgeous little fairy digi image... she's called 'Gift Wrapping' and is available from Funky Kits here.

I chose to colour her in blues using my copics to match the paper (from LOTV).  As I wasn't using a die to cut the square, I thought a bit of doodling my help to define the edge... and added a few pearl dots with Cosmic Shimmer Glue around the white space too.

As I didn't have any plain card in the right colour to edge the card and image, I used my copic deeper blue to colour just the edge of a pale blue card.. a handy tip as I got EXACTLY the right colour by doing it that way.

The sentiment is from Poppy Stamps... and the die is a Memory Box Gabriella border die.

Don't forget you still have time to enter our Furry Friends competition at Sugar Nellie.... details HERE.

Thanks for looking today - hope you have time to say hello...

Fairies and Elves..

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Today it's FAIRY time over at In The Pink... and as you know, I need no excuse to dig out my fairy images and get colouring!  This lovely fairy is from A Day For Daisies who have some wonderful fairy images to choose from.   She actually called Delicate Fairy of Flowers and is available HERE.

There really is very little explanation to give of how I made the card.... I used a Papermania paper, then I coloured the image with Copics, gave her lots of glitter on her wings (to help her fly, obviously!), used a Spellbinders rectangle for her shape - and white organza ribbon for her bow.  I did use a fancy Cheery Lynn Anastasia Border which is just peeking out from under the ribbon.... maybe I'll use it differently next time so it's more obvious.  Then a sprinkle of Fairy Dust (hmmm ok, Frantage) and she was all ready to take flight!
Hope you like my little fairy... and that you'll pop over to In The Pink and join in the pink fairy fun!

Thanks for taking a peek at my blog today...  I hope that you like what you see and will say hello so I know you've dropped by and then I can return the favour..

Another Gorgeous Furry Friend..

Hi Peeps....

Hope you're all well..

Today it's my turn to do the DT card for Sugar Nellie...  and here's my latest card using one of the gorgeous Furry Friends digital images that were launched a couple of weeks back..

This one is called  'Gift Wrapped' (for obvious reasons - lol!!) and is available from Funky Kits HERE.  Now I'm not normally a fan of colouring cute animals..  as I struggle a bit with the colouring (unless it's teddy fur!)... but I was really quite happy with this one... in fact I was a little MORE than pleased when it came out like it did!!  What is it they say about pride coming before a fall?  I'll be watching out today! LOL

Materials Used:
Colouring: Copics Fur: E41, E42, E57, E59, Parcel: RV92, R81, R83, Shading:W1, W3, W5, W7

Hmmm... now which is my favourite Tiddlyinks image??

Hi Peeps...

OK.......  I can't answer the question in the title I don't think.....  as every one of Christy's Tiddlyinks images that I own have been at one time, and still are my favourites!!  From the Buggs..... to Wryn..... to the fairies...   I mean.... who couldn't love these gorgeous images that I've used ever since I started using digi images?  And I definitely couldn't upset all of the other images in my file by choosing just one myself and leaving the others unloved... then I came up with a solution!  I went to my computer.... and let my cursor decide...(kinda like sticking a pin in a page and less dangerous)!!  This little lady was is the result..

Meet Fairy Happy Day - isn't she just gorgeous?? (available from Tiddlyinks HERE)  Yes.... OK.... I know I have a bit of a tendency for liking fairies......  and hmmm yes I have a (very slight!) tendency towards pink too (ahem)...  and yes...... I couldn't let a fairy image go by without the glitter touch.... could I?  So I was ultra happy my cursor took me in her direction.   I decided she needed a relatively CAS design so she could be the focal point (which is no more than any fairy deserves of course)..  and as you know, I so enjoy this style!  I sometimes enjoy the colouring far more than putting the card together I think... I go off into my own world listening to music and before I know it, hours have gone by..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO IN THE PINK!

Hi Peeps..

I can't believe how fast time flies.... and here we are at In The Pink time again - and wowwww it's our SECOND birthday!!  Now....  I know I did a nice pale pink card just recently, soooooo I thought I'd go to the opposite extreme this time..  and as we've got an ANYTHING GOES theme to celebrate our birthday... I went all out!

I chose to use a Bestie for my card - meet Sophia Rose from Sherri Baldy Besties  She was a joy to colour...  but, I have to admit, I didn't enjoy colouring her hair so much!! Sooo many curls - and as I'm just starting doing the hair colouring classes with Alyce at Kit and Clowder - and haven't got to the curly hair lesson yet, I feel I may have gone a tad astray with my highlight/shadow bits!  Ah well.... don't look too closely (and shhhhh don't tell Alyce!!)  I think I've conquered straight hair texture.... but curls are yet to come!
Here's what I used:
Paper: Fancy Pants Key Lime Pie Papers - Heavenly
Dies: Nellies Multiframes Rectangle 3 (includes the scallops), Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Border
Ribbon, Glitter and Gems from Stash
Sentiment done on PC
Colouring: Copics...
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Clothes: RV00, RV52, RV55, RV09, G20, G21, G82
Eyes: B93
Shoes E33, E35, E57
(if I put my colours here I remember for next time! LOL)

Side view showing inside

Hope you like what you see and you'll say hello so I know you've been here...  then I can return the favour!

And I'd love you to pop over to In The Pink and join in our birthday fun!!

Night Night Little One....

Hi Peeps...

It's All Dressed Up new release time again... and Wendy has decided we need a little babying..  so has come up with some super-sweet baby type images!

I chose to use 'Night Night Little One' - such a gorgeous image! I used an MFT stitched circle die run through a Swiss Dots embossing folder...  then coloured and fussy cut the image.  I did print a second image so I could 3D the feet and flower..  then I used a Martha Stewart border punch for behind the main image... and finished with lots of punched flowers, gems and of course, glitter!  The stripey paper I've had in my stash for about 10 years!  I bought it at Michaels in the US... and think I maybe overdid it on thinking how many sheets I would need!

As most of you know, pink has to be my favourite of ALL colours... so this one was a joy for me to do!!

Sideways view to show the depth of the bunny!

Here are the other images available in this new launch:

We also have some fantastic papers to match
The papers can be purchased here

Aren't the new images all just soooo cute??  And I'm sure you can use them in the current challenge too!

I hope you'll take a peek over at the All Dressed Up blog HERE to see what the other Dressy Girls have come up with for your inspiration...  there are some wonderful cards there!

Hope you're having a good weekend!

All Dressed Up - Anything but Square!

Hi Peeps....

You'll be tired of seeing me this weekend I think.....  it's just that a lot of DT work has come together..  Always the way isn't it?  Like the proverbial buses!

Today I have another All Dressed Up card - this time I've used one of the lovely Little Summer Girls (available HERE)

As our theme is ANYTHING BUT SQUARE - I was forced into getting out of my square card comfort zone... hmmm... so I decided on a stepper card as I haven't done one for a long time... and they always prove a challenge to me.... glue and DS tape everywhere! LOL

Materials:

Image: All Dressed Up Little Summer Girls (I just used one)
Colouring: Copics
Papers: First Edition New Bloom
Dies: SB Rectangle, Die-namics Flower Trio, Lil' Inkers Sun, PTI Ric-Rac
SU Word Window Punch
LOTV Sentiment (from Set 26)
Twine, Gems and Glitter from stash

Hope you'll join in our fabbie fun challenge...  all you need to do is use an All Dressed Up image to be able to enter..... oooh, and do a card or creation that ISN'T SQUARE!

Hope you had a lovely weekend!
Big hugs

I chose to use Picket Post Lane for my card - I do love colouring teddies just lately, and I try to give them a little bit of texture (reminding me of a curly haired teddy I have - yes OK, I own lots!)..  I've developed a bit of a technique to do this colouring - I've been asked a few times, so am thinking of doing a tutorial on it...  let me know if you'd like me to!

I coloured with my Copics, but did the grass with my Prismacolour pencils.  The sun die is from Lil' Inkers, and the cloud die is from Memory Box.

Now..... for the Blog Hop part.  You should have arrived her from Janine's blog - but here's the list in case you need a little guidance!
