This little piggy....

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a card I made using a digital image from Lee Holland - it's an image I coloured a few days back for The 30 day colouring challenge.  This little piggy really made me smile while I coloured it...

I did one of my favourite layouts - one that I think always lets the image be the focal point.. and not a diecut in sight!

Card Info:
Image - Lee Holland Birthday Pig
Paper - MFT Graphic Grid Pastels
Colouring - Copics
Pig - R000/00/01/02, E35
Shading - B0000/000/02
Grass - G14, YG23
Balloon - R27/46

Hope you like my 'just for fun' card today...

It's simple... I love you...

Hi Lovelies...

My card today is a card I made for my lovely man - on Friday, it was the 16th anniversary of the day we met.. and this card was perfect for the occasion.

I was inspired by a card made by the lovely Francine Vuilleme from 1001 Cartes, whose design I have unashamedly CASed.  She made it as a DT card for MFT, and when I saw it I knew I had to make similar for this occasion. I had the image waiting to be coloured so I used the same colour scheme.  I changed some bits - the paper, the die and the sentiment, so it wasn't entirely the same - but near enough.  I'm always inspired by Francine's designs and makes..  however, I did contact her this time so I had her approval to publish this one.  Thank you Francine - and all credit to you.

I've got to say, I'm always happy if anyone is inspired to use one of my designs..  provided credit is given - that's only fair.  But as card-makers - we love to be inspired by others, and we love to share our ideas also... yes??

Card Info:
Image - MFT Pure Innocence Blowing Kisses
Sentiment - MFT Essential Sentiments
Dies - MFT Blueprints 16 (for shape), MFT Tag Builder (for hearts)
Paper - MFT Graphic Grid
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/71, R20
Hair C5/7/9
White - C0/1
Reds - R24/27/46, E57

I do love these Pure Innocence stamps from MFT - they're so very sweet, and really easy to colour.  They go so well with a CAS design too.

Have a great Sunday...

Valentine Chicks from Stamping Bella

Hi Lovelies...

It's Bellarific Friday time again - and this time we are showcasing some of the fabulous recent release.  I chose to use these gorgeous Valentine Chicks..  but I had the devil of a job to photograph the card, as the brown that they're sitting on, tends to look black on the photo...  hmmmm!  Isn't it weird that something that looks mid-brown in real life, can look so dark when photographed.

Anyways...  brown it is..  a lovely chocolate brown to suit what the middle chick is carrying.  This is what we'd all like on Valentines Day, isn't it?  A lovely card, a red rose.... oooh and that chocolate!  My mouth was watering while I coloured it

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2
Paper - Lawn Fawn Let's Polka Mon Amie
Colouring - Copics
Chicks - Y21/23/35, YR14/04/18
Chcolate - E31/39/59
Reds - R24/27/39
Gold Mirri Card

I enjoyed using the Mirri card with the brown - although again, it's not photographed well.. but looks classy in real life.

Hope you'll pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see what my fellow babes and our fellababe have come up with..  some gorgeousness there!

Then have you joined in yet with our challenge over on Facebook?  Hope so!!

Now we're off out today for a lovely pub lunch - it's 16 years today since I first met my lovely man - so we're celebrating!

Have a great weekend all...

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

OK, I'm back with another puppy type card... this time it's using the Puppy Power clear stamp set from CC Designs.  I decided to line these three cheeky mites together, then created a backdrop with the paw print stamp that's also part of the set.  I used one of the sentiments - and the card was finished.

Bearing Gifts...

Hi Lovelies...

Today, it's my turn to use an image from Kinda Cute by Patricia - and I chose to use this little Duck With Presents.

In years gone by, I always had a soft spot for anything duck related - so much so that I earned the nickname of 'Ducky!'  If I went in a gift shop and there was any ducks to be had, I was there!  I'm glad to say that the passion has eased off a bit - but I still fell in love with this little guy and his gifts for someone special.

Card Info:
Sentiment - Pebbles Inc Rub On
Paper - Doodlebug Designs Fruit Stand
Colouring - Copics
Duck - Y21/35/38, YR04/18/14/24
Grass - G07/14
Gifts - RV13/14, V22, G07/14
Glitter

Pop on over to Patricia's online shop to see the fabulous digital images available - there's also clear stamps too.

We've had some wonderful entries so far, but we'd love to see MORE!!  It's so inspiring to see the way us crafters use images so differently.

Stamping Bella Faith the Fairy

Hi Lovely Bloggers..

Here we are again at another fabulous Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella - and this week the theme was 'vintage' - but only vintage in that we were to showcase a stamp that's not from the newest release.  As I have lots of  gorgeous Stamping Bella loveliness in my stash (from the last 10 years or so!)... I sat down to choose.  I'd narrowed it down to about five that I REALLY wanted to colour..  when Uptown Girl Faith the Fairy prodded me with her wand and told me it just HAD to be her.  I think she was right!

Card Info:
Dies - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border, YNS Heart Tab
Paper - MFT Graphic Grid Pastels
Colouring - Copics
Hair - E31/33/35, YR23/27
Skin - E000/00/11/71, R20
Dress - BV000, V22/25/17
Pinks - R81/83
Sequins, Gems and Glitter
White gel pen for sparkle on folds

I fussy cut Faith (yes even around that wand) so she could stand out from the card - then stamped the sentiment verse alongside her - using my MISTI so I didn't mess it up!

Have you entered our January challenge yet over on Facebook??  Take a peek HERE - and join in the fun as there's Bella Bucks to be won!

My daughter has lent me her SLR camera to see if I can come up with some better photographs of my cards on the grey days we're having her in the UK lately..  and I'm pretty sure I'm on the right lines, but still learning all the settings!  So many buttons, soooo little brain!  Anyway - hopefully you'll see an improvement.

Have a great weekend all..
Big hugs

Sweet Valentine....

Hi...

Today my card is using some of the sweet little cherubs from the new January release at CC Designs.  These little characters are from the Sweet Valentine Clear Stamp Set - which comes with lots of other characters too - a couple of little piggies and a teddy - together with perfect sentiments... you'll love it!!

Image may contain: text

I created lots of layered clouds with a border die and used two shades of vellum to create some depth - which is mounted on clear acetate to give the card strength - but also make the clouds somewhat see-through.

Card Info:
Dies - CC Designs Love Word Die, Lawn Fawn Cloud Border
Worn Lipstick Distress Ink (for top white card)
Colouring - Copics
Hair - YR21/23/24
Skin - E000/00/11/71, R20
Wings - B60
Clouds - C1/B60
Reds - R46

I finished my card with some tiny die cut hearts that have been in my trimmings tray for a little while... I thought they were perfect to be falling through the clouds.  See?  Everything comes in handy sooner or later!! (and yes - I'm the world's worst hoarder!)

Hope you like!

Pretty Peonies

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Today my card is not for a Design Team... it's made for a special lady.

I love these Pretty Peonies from Mama Elephant, and have been trying to do different designs with them...  but each time I've used them I've coloured them hot pink (which is the colour of the peonies in my garden)..  Hmmm... something to do with my love of that particular colour??

I coloured them with my Kuretake Zig Clean Colour pens - and used my water brush to spread the colour on the petals and leaves.  I always love to use these pens... they're sooooo full of fabulous pigment.  I decided to use the word 'wishing' - a die from Simon Says Stamp - I cut it out twice, then once again from the square, then adhered the three words together.  I'd put foam tape behind the square so that when I adhered the word back into the space - it gives a 3D effect.  Hmmm, that wasn't explained well!

Card Info:
Image - Mama Elephant Pretty Peonies
Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp Wishing Word Die,
Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing Clear Stamp Set
Die - MFT Stitched Scalloped Square
Zig Clean Colour Markers
Gems

Now, my lovely daughter has loaned me her SLR camera for a little while, so I'm trying to achieve some better photographic results..  I think I'm on the right track but still have a way to go.  But my brain (the few cells that are left!) actually hurts when I try to figure all the different settings...  anyone else have that problem?? LOL!

Watch out!!

Hi there...

It's time at Stamping Bella for the first Bellarific Friday of 2018...  and it's also Stamp of the Month time - featuring this fabulous Winter Backdrop.  The DT were to use it in any way we liked... and we've all produced very different style cards.  You can get this stamp for 25% discount throughout January - an offer you'd be mad to miss out on, as it's such a useful background for wintery makes.

I chose to use a little lady from the Littles Snowfight stamp set - but on the original stamp she's standing on top of a massive snowball - I fussy cut her out of the group of her pals - so she's on her own with her snowball taking aim... watch out!

Card Info:
Sentiment - PC generated
