Santa!!!!!

Hi There...

A quickie from me today using one of the fab Santas from the MFT Jingle All The Way stamp set.  This is a set I use year after year and I love this little guy.  I combined with a sentiment from the MFT Snow Globe Sentiment set.

I used my Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Background stamp to create the starry sky over a Distress Ink blended card...  I stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with Wow Sparkling Snow embossing powder.

Reds - R24/27/46 E57
Beard/Fur - N0/1/3

It's Bellarific Friday... and this time here at Stamping Bella, we're highlighting stamps that are not from the current release.  Well, I have so many Christmas stamps that I just love using.. so it was difficult for me to chose... but this Littles Santa just caught my eye and so here he is, all coloured up!

I decided to do a little bit of decoupage - so stamped the image twice and cut out the moustache and the chimney - giving it a 3D effect that looks good!

Christmas Poinsettia

Hi Peeps..

Today my card is using one of the wonderful digital images from Graciellie Design..  using my Zig Clean Colour markers.  I do like playing with these pens and feel I get good results.

I offset the flower rather than plonking it in the middle of the card.. and mounted on some gold mirri card then a red base.  I did some splattering with my  Kuretake Gamsai Tambi Gold Watercolours..  in real life they look better than I can capture on the photograph.

Finally I used a sentiment stamp - and embossed that in gold too..

Hope you like my make today...

Christmas Foiled Wreath

Hi Lovelies...

Well something a little different from me today!  I recently went to a paper-crafting show in Harrogate, and was fascinated by a demo there, showing this fabulous technique.

Of course, I bought the goodies so I could have a play - and I'm loving the result!  The demo was by Sweet Poppy Designs, and here I've used their Christmas Wreath.  They have lots of YouTube videos if you want to see what I saw, and what tempted me so much!

I  used their Stencil Dimensions Paste in Translucent through the stencil - letting it totally dry.  THEN... the magic happens!  I used their Glimmer Hot Foil in Rose Gold...  placed a piece large enough to cover the wreath..  then popped that in to a folded sheet of copier paper, before putting through a laminator (bought specially of course - but cheap enough on Amazon).  When it comes through, you just peel the foil off to find it's adhered to the dried paste and looks fabulous!

I had some Rose Gold Glitter card which I used to matt and layer - and also cut the MFT Joy word die from the same card.  I layered the word up with a couple of white diecuts behind to give it depth.

It's so very difficult to give you the full idea of what this looks like in real life - the camera in no way picks up the shine that it has.... but you get the idea!

I loved playing - and will be doing a whole lot more like this in the not too distance future with the other stencils I bought! LOL!

Hope you like...

Girl's Christmas Stocking

Hi Peeps...

Well as it's 1st December, there's a new challenge over at the All Dressed Up Facebook page... and the theme is

MY FAVOURITE THINGS

Well... you'd never guess what my favourite things are, would you??? OK, OK, I'm predictable!  PINK and GLITTER!  What's not to love??

I used the gorgeous Girls Christmas Stocking for my card - fussy cutting her before adhering with foam pads.  I created the background with my new favourite background stamp - so sparkly and shiny!  I masked the centre panel with shaped post-it tape and ink blended to create the ombre effect, before stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with Sparkling Snow embossing powder.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Background - Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Background Stamp

The Gnome with a Lantern...

Hi Peeps..

Yes, it's that time again ...  Bellarific Fridays come around so fast!  But what's not to love about sharing gorgeous Bella goodness?!

We're celebrating the latest release this time, and this little gnome has been waiting for his turn to shine (the lantern of course!).  Now this design came to me about 5 am one morning, and I couldn't wait to get up to try it!  I used some post it tape and a hillside die to create the curves - then blended Distress Inks in the space.  THEN - I used a fabulous background stamp  and some sparkly white embossing powder for the stars..  which twinkle sooooo much!  I even did a video so you can see how they shine!

Card Info:
Background Stamp - Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Distress Inks
Wow Embossing Powder Sparkling Snow
Colouring - Copics
Reds - R24/27/46 E57, Greens YG17/23 G07, Browns E31/33/35,
Snow B60 BV31, Beard - T0/1/2, Skin E00/11/04 R20

And to show how it twinkles...

This has got to be one of my favourite makes just lately..  hope you like it too!

Have your Selfie A Merry Little Christmas...

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back today with one of the fabulous images from the MFT Christmas sELFies set on my card.. I have the rest coloured up ready to use, but the time rushes past, and so I thought I'd get my first up and blogged!

I also used the MFT Christmas Background Stamp to create this card, stamping it with Versamark ink onto white card, then heat embossing with clear embossing powder, before using Distress Inks for the reds.  As the clear embossing resists the colour, you get the text in white..

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - MFT Christmas Selfies Clear Stamp Set
Background - MFT Christmas Background Stamp
Die - Square Spellbinders (used through a rectangle)
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/04, R20
Reds - R24/27/46 E57
Greens - YG17/23 G07
Blues - B21/23
Gold - Y17
Fur - C0/1

I'm loving these little guys...  and know exactly the people that I'll send them to!

Back tomorrow with more...

Christmas Wreath

Hi Lovelies

I've had my water colour paints out for my card today. I fell in love with this beautiful Christmas Wreath digital image by Gracie Ellie Design which I've seen being used recently on Instagram - and so out the paints and watercolour paper came, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I used my Altenew paints - with a tiny touch of Zig Clean Colour markers for the red berries.  I also added a little bit of Copic shading in warm greys, to give depth - along with some Prismacolour Pencil for shadows.  Then I did some white paint splattering - and also added an odd bit of gold leaf here and there.. just to make the wreath sparkle!

The sentiment is an old digi one from Pink Petticoat - sadly, now no longer trading.

Hope you like my make today...  I did love using my paints and need to do it more often!

Mistletoe Joy

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I made using the fabulous MFT Mistletoe Cover Plate that I bought recently at the Harrogate Stamperama Show (ahem.. amongst a few other things I bought!)

Firstly I used my Distress Oxide Inks to colour a white panel - using Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint to give subtle green shades.  Then I diecut using the cover plate.

I adhered acetate behind the cover plate, then I used lots of 3D foam strips around the edge of the diecut piece, and also under some of the leaves too, to give the acetate strength in the middle.  I added some sequins and beads, then added the white panel behind.

I diecut the rectangle frame, then the word from red glitter card - I was happy with the effect.  I added a few Nuvo Drops to create the berries, and it was done.

Card Info:
MFT Mistletoe Cover Plate
MFT A2 Rectangle Frame
MFT Lower Case Alphabet
Sequins and beads
Distress Oxide Inks
Nuvo Drops

Hope you like my make today as much as I enjoyed making it..  it was quite simple to make, as it is mainly diecutting!
