CAS Heart with Butterflies

Hi Lovelies..

Firstly, apologies as I'm a bit slow getting going this year - I'm a little overwhelmed with the goodies I have in my craft room (yes, I admit it!)... I get in there, and don't know what to make!  Does anyone else feel like that?  I see fabulous YouTube videos, and lots of Instagram posts - and my poor brain is saying 'well you can't do it all' - so I end up struggling to make even one thing!

Anyways..  I've made a few CAS cards for today - using a gorgeous little die that I got from Amazon.  Firstly, I die cut the heart from a stitched square die cut panel.  I stamped a small sentiment while the panel was still flat.

I needed an effective background, so did a little smooshing in pinks and purples, with lots of gold too.  I used foam tape to lift the heart square panel away from the background, then adhered the smooshed panel to the foam tape.  I adhered the stitched square panel to my card base then finally added a tiny gem onto the smooshed panel.

For my second card, I used lilacs and purples for the smooshing.

Card Info:
Dies - Heart/Butterfly, Lil' Inkers Stitched Square
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Fancy That
Distress Oxides for smooshing

Hope you like my cards today - quite often creating something CAS can bring back my mojo.. hopefully that'll happen this time!

Masculine Card

Hi Lovelies..

Well we've been without internet for a few days due to an area outage, so I've been a little quiet!  I'm glad to be back now though...  it really shows how much we rely on it when we don't have it...  and ours is TV too!

Anyways.. I've been busy in my craft room.. and today I'm sharing the first of some male cards I've made.

I was inspired by Natalie's video (NB Cards) showing several different styles for men - using lots of scraps!  Well, I have endless scraps and 6 x 6 pads... so out they came.

I diecut several stitched strips in various patterns and colours to start with.  Then I cut some white cardstock, covering with double sided adhesive paper.  I laid the strips on diagonally, with some gold strips interspersed... then adhered that panel to a diecut stitched rectangle.  Lastly, I added a tiny sentiment in the same diagonal angle.

I can't really give many details of what I used - the paper pads are probably 10+ years old, and the strip die is a cheapie one.  The sentiment is from MFT.

I sent this card to my son-in-law and it was well received, so I've made more - always handy to have a male type card in stock!

Valentines Heart

Hi Lovelies..

OK... we're onto Valentine cards now - crikey, no wonder the years go by so quickly!

My card today is very CAS..  I used a lovely little heart die on a stitched rectangle panel - sorry, no name of the die as I bought it a little while back and the packaging is missing.  Behind that I put red glitter card..  then added a red panel so there was an edge of red, before adding everything to my card panel.

I stamped a tiny sentiment and from MFT and added one of the little hearts that came from the glitter card - and it was done!

Here's a close up of the die cut with the glitter card, though it's quite difficult to see!

Hope you like!

Pink Fresh Studio Cheerful Blossoms

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm starting my New Year makes using the gorgeous Stamp/Stencil/Die set from Pink Fresh Studio - this one is called Cheerful Blossoms.

I've created three different cards - two rectangular and one square - using different dies and embossing folders.

For the first, I used an embossing folder from Lisa Horton - it's scripty which I felt looked good behind the sentiment.  I used the stencil to colour the flowers, finishing them with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower and is from a set called Birthday Wishes.

For my second card, I created a smooshed panel which I put behind a lattice cover plate diecut.  The stamp edged die is from Waffle Flower, and I used a rectangle to cut the centre, to show the lattice.  I adhered the sentiment to gold cardstock, trimming around to give the edge.

Lastly, I used a square die from MFT - it's a diagonal stitched one, again I cut the centre out to show the lattice behind.

Hope you like my first cards of 2025... Happy New Year to you all!
