A little bit of gardening....

Hi Lovely Friends....

OK.... my gardening isn't REAL gardening... my lovely OH does most of that...  but I decided that these cute little chicks had waited long enough to be coloured up..  and here's my card to prove I did just that - it's my bit of gardening! LOL

In fact, I coloured it twice - but wasn't happy which the design of my first card so that hit the bin..  then I decided on this idea (not really new, I've used it before!)

Materials used:
Stamping Bella Gardening Chicks
Paper - A scrap from stash
Dies - Lil' Inkers Square Stitched Dies, Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border,
Sun from CC Designs Make a Card Summer #16 die set
Colouring - Copics
Chicks Y11/21, YR23/24
Beaks and Feet R24
Leaves - YG23/25/63
Flowers R81/83/85/89

I adore these little Stamping Bella Chicks..  I've got another few waiting to be coloured yet... so watch this space!

My lovely OH says my gardening tool is my finger.... pointed in the direction of what I think needs doing!! LOL!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

Such an easy card to make!

Hi Peeps...

I'm here with a really easy card today... highlighting this fabulous background die!!

It's from CC Designs - and is perfect for the background of any card - particularly using a word die-cut...  so it gives you lots uses!

The die is from the July release and can be found HERE at CC Designs... it's called Cutter A2 Circle Cut and Stitch and I used an MFT die for the word.  I used hot pink behind the circles - then gold mirri card behind that to highlight the word which is also cut from gold mirri.  I have layered the word up by cutting it three times - giving it some thickness.

I'm going to make a few of these cards to have in my stash - they're always handy to have in - and are so quick to make - not a Copic in sight!!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting...

GET YOUR RUBBER OUT!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Well, I've got to admit I did chuckle at our theme this time at In The Pink..  then after I stopped smiling - I got out my very favourite (at the moment because it's my newest) stamp and started colouring!!

The theme is

GET OUT YOUR RUBBER!!
(use a rubber or clear stamp)

I did love colouring this fabulous Edna from Stamping Bella...  she's really a delight and I love ALL of the fabulous images using her... but this one in particular tickles my fancy...  my lovely OH says it does bear a passing resemblance to me...  I think he's meaning the glass in hand!! hehe!

Materials Used:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Edna Needs a Martini
Paper - Authentique
Dies - Spellbinders Double Stitched Rectangles (altered slightly to make the smaller rectangle for the sentiment)
Colouring - Copics

Skin - E000/00/11/70, R20
Dress - RV000/91/55/66, R81/56, N4

Now... I just wanted to share with you a photo of what I look while drinking my morning coffee on the lovely days we've had this week...

yes... the flags do need a bit of brushing up as the birds have been digging in my pots!

Oooh and another bit of news.... I am no longer a part of the Passionate Paper Creations DT - sad, but it wasn't for me.

Hope you'll join in the stamping fun at In The Pink - I'd love to see you there!

My Big Wheels

Hi Lovelies...

I'm sharing another card using one of the fabbie CC Designs July release to share with you today.. this image is called My Big Wheels (for obvious reasons!)

And as I'm really into colouring with this green at the moment, but didn't have any card to match,  I made some of my own using my Copics.  This is so easy to do, as you're only colouring the edge of your card.... and you then never need to be short of just 'the right' colour to match your colouring.

Materials Used:
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair E23/25/29
Scooter BG70/72/75
Shorts B05/16
Top and Flag Y00/YG01/63
Tyres and Grounding - N1/3/5/7

And have you seen that there are fabulous outline dies to match the images now at CC Designs??  No more fussy cutting needed!

Happy Crafting
Big hugs

A Beary Special Birthday!

Hi Lovelies....

I'm back with another 'just for fun' card...  I fell in love with the gorgeous little bears released by MFT last week..  and treated myself to the stamp set, and also to the Dienamics Happy Birthday to You die (ok, yeah yeah, amongst other things!)  Of course, I reached for my PINK...  and had a play!

I made a shaker card with acetate behind the diecut words..  sprinkling sequins and seed beads into the shaker space.... then took my life in my hands by adding the pink larger square and HOPING to get it straight!  With hindsight, I'd have been better to add a second lot of acetate or even pink card to seal the shaker bit - BEFORE adding it to the larger pink square.  Ah well, it worked this time but I'll know better next time! LOL!

Materials Used:
MFT Beary Special Birthday
MFT Dienamics Happy Birthday to You
Sequins and Beads from stash
Colouring - Copics
Bear - E50/52/53/55/57, R20
Cake E40/42/43
Icing - R81/83

I did uhhm and ahhhh as to whether to add the sequins to the white space, and eventually decided to go with it...  I THINK I made the right decision...  what do you think?

I promise it does look better in real life (like most cards do), and the shaker rattle is fab.  I think you'll be seeing more of these little bears in the near future..  maybe less jaundiced looking.... hehe!

Big hugs...

(she comes with another image and sentiments too!)
Paper - Doodlebug Designs Fruit Stand and Springtime

Hair - E21/23/25

ALL OR NOTHING

Hi Lovelies.....

It's time for another challenge at In The Pink - and this time our challenge is another easy one....

ALL OR NOTHING!

In other words, what we had to do was come up with something Fussy and Fancy, OR something equally Clean and Simple..  get the idea?

Now those of you that know me well.... know I'm not one for going very fussy - in fact, the more CAS the better!  BUT... the gauntlet was thrown down to me by the lovely Lucy..  challenging me to avoid my usual CAS longings and to do the opposite!!  Hmmmmm... not one to avoid a challenge, I dug out my box of flowers and got to work..  But I was SO out of my comfort zone - I actually got a headache trying to think where to put my embellies.. (don't answer that!)  This is the result...  and as FAF as I was willing to get...

Materials Used:
Paper - Authentique Bubble Gum
Die - Spellbinders Floral Ovals
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11, R20
Hair - E57/59
Dress and Hat - RV91, R81/83/85/89, G21/82, YG63
Flowers, Flat Backed Pearls and Ribbon from Stash

I loved using this little Hatter from Little Miss Muffet Stamps..  and if you enter the challenge, and your name is randomly chosen from our Perfect Pinkies, you could win a fabulous $6 voucher to spend at their store!

Hope you like what I did and that you'll stop by and say hello.

Big hugs
