Pearl Wedding Anniversary

Hi Lovelies...

I made this card for a very special friend whose Pearl Wedding Anniversary was earlier this week... I'm delighted to say she and her hubby loved it!

I used everything pearl... from pearlised card, to creating the flowers for the heart, then to the pearl gems on the flowers.  

It is such a simple card to make, though a little time consuming.  I added a little sentiment which I'd done on the PC, then punched out with a Stamping Up punch.

The heart shape is a diecut using an MFT Heart die, then the flowers are from an old Woodware punch.  After they were cut, I used an embossing tool to give them a slightly rounded shape.

Altenew Soft Blossoms

Hi Peeps...

I'm excited today as I've been asked to be a Guest Designer for The Flower Challenge for June.  And even more excited as the theme is to 'Use Your Favourite Flower - and my favourite flowers are definitely big, blousey Peonies...  particularly in pink!

So, I chose to use this gorgeous Soft Blossom Stamp Set and Stencil from Altenew.. and even though it doesn't say it's a peony, I'm sure it is!  I stencilled and then stamped, diecutting with a stitched rectangle die.  I added a small sentiment embossed in white on black cardstock.  Lastly, I added a few tiny pink gems to make the card sparkle.

Stamping Bella The Guineas Get Married

Hi Lovelies...

It's the beginning of the month - so our Bellarific Friday cards at Stamping Bella are using this gorgeous stamp set - The Guineas Get Married - which you can get with 50% discount throughout June!  It also includes the lovely sentiment too.

I coloured and fussy cut the image - then created a Distress Oxide blended background - splattering it after it was dry with gold and deep pink watercolours.  I adhered the image with foam pads, then added the sentiment to the top, and a few diecut hearts cut from glitter card.

Lawn Fawn Sew Very Mice

Hi Lovelies..

My card today was made specially for a lovely friend of mine.. who is very much into sewing - she's very talented and produces fabulous garments!  So... when I saw this set from Lawn Fawn, I knew it had to be for her birthday card!

I coloured and fussy cut all the little elements, then created a background with a die-cut giving me the four windows to pop the sewers into.  I added a scrap of printed paper at the back so each little 'room' had it's own wallpaper.  Next I added the little images with foam pads to give depth.  The tiny sentiment in the centre comes with the stamp set, and is perfect in that it's small enough not to detract from the sewers!

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl with a Beach Ball and Puppy

Hi Lovelies...

Sorry I've been a bit quiet this week... the time has gone by quickly, and although I've made cards, I've not had the time to blog them etc!  

Anyways...  it's the last Friday in the month and at Stamping Bella, that means it's time to use an image from the new release for our Bellarific Friday card.  I chose to use this fabulous Bundle Girl - she's playing with her mahoosive beach ball and her tiny puppy.  I decided to go for bright colours - particularly on her beach ball - then I fussy cut both images and laid them to one side.

Then I created a diecut background for her to stand alongside.  I added glitter to the waves and the sun - hoping to give the impression of the light glistening on the water.  Lastly I added a sentiment from the Summer Sentiment Set.

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl with a Foxglove

Hi Lovelies..

Today at Stamping Bella, we are using images from the current Stamp of the Month range..  so it's another Bundle Girl - and I chose to use this Bundle Girl with a Foxglove.

I coloured and fussy cut the image, yes, even all those tiny flowers (!) - then I created a stencilled rectangle background, splattered with white, gold and deep pink watercolours.  I adhered the image with 3D foam pads and added a tiny sentiment from the Spring Sentiment Set

Alcohol Ink Squares

Hi Peeps...

Another CAS card from me today... this time using one of the backgrounds I've created recently with alcohol inks - these backgrounds were sitting in a file waiting to be used.  Can you tell I've been tidying??

All I did was use a small square die - cutting four squares from the sheet, adding them with 3D foam tape to a diecut square card panel.  That's it!  I'm afraid I can't remember the colours I used - apart from saying blues and greens... and then of course, the gold.  I was really happy how effective it looks - and didn't think it needed a sentiment, as it can be used for just a note, or a birthday card etc.

As I have lots of created backgrounds, I could be here forever using them!

Stampendous Birthday Flowers

Hi Lovelies..

Well as some of you know, I'm on a mission to use some of my older stash..  and while I was tidying the other day, I came across this little Birthday Flowers cling stamp from Stampendous - so out it came and was stamped up quickly!

It was so easy to colour, and if you look closely, you can see the sentiment words on the stems!  I then used a small stitched square die, and matted with some rose gold glitter card, then some card that I'd created using one of my Distress Oxide Sprays... this is Wilted Violet.  Lastly, I added it to a square card base.

Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Mermaid

Hi Peeps...

Well have you heard?  It's MerMay!  So I'm celebrating that and our Bellarific Friday with this gorgeous Curvy Girl Mermaid stamp from Stamping Bella.

I coloured and fussy cut the image... then I used a large embossing tool on the back to give her a rounded look.  I created the background blending Distress Oxides then adding more through a sun-ray stencil to show the sun coming through the water.  I splattered the background with water and white paint and I was happy that it looked like an underwater scene. I then adhered the Mermaid with 3D foam pads, and added the sentiment.

Pink Fresh Studio Ribbons and Balloons

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a card I made with a Pink Fresh Studio stamp set and the co-ordinating stencils..  this is Ribbons and Balloons...  but I decided to use fine gold cord instead of the stencilled ribbons as I wanted to fussy cut the balloons and I thought cutting the stencilled ribbons may be a step TOO far for me!

I used Distress Inks to stencil through the balloons, adding a white gel pen reflection.  I adhered the cord to the back of the balloons, then used 3D foam pads to adhere the balloons to the card panel.  I'd dry embossed the edges of the balloons to give them a rounded look.

Stamping Bella Balloon Girl with Balloons

Hi Lovelies

Well, it's the first Friday in May, which means there's a lovely new Stamp of the Month at Stamping Bella - this time it's this cute little Bundle Girl with Balloons... she'd tried to keep hold of them all, but then she decided to let them fly!  You can get this gorgeous stamp for half price throughout May.

I coloured her with my Copics, then created a background with some cloud paper, adding a strip of silver glitter card along the white panel, before adhering it with foam tape.

The Greeting Farm What's Buzzing 2

Hi There...

I'm back with another card using the cutie bees from The Greeting Farm What's Buzzing set..  this time I've done a bit of ink smooshing onto cardstock, splattering with gold - then diecutting into hexagons to create the honeycomb for these bees to fly around!

I then added a couple of gold sequins and a sentiment from the set, and it was done.

Stamping Bella Oddballs Oz Dorothy and Toto

Hi Lovelies..

Today I'm sharing another card from the new release at Stamping Bella..  this Oddball is from the Oz set..  it's Dorothy and Toto.  Those red shoes are just about to be made use of!

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then stencilled a circle for the background.  I stamped through the stencil with a twinkle background for the magic that's going to happen as she clicks her heels together..

Stamping Bella Wedding Trio Girl

Hi Peeps...

It's Bellarific Friday - and as it's the fourth Friday of the month - we highlight images from the current release.  I chose to use the gorgeous girlie from the Wedding Trio for my card - with lots of pink!

I coloured and fussy cut her - then I added lots of glitter.  I then used a 3D embossing folder on pink cardstock - sanding the raised parts with emery board - which lightens those parts.  I adhered that to the card, then added a sentiment from the Celebrate and Congratulate sentiment set.
