Hi Lovely Friends...
OK, so who remembers Katrina and The Waves singing that song for Eurovision?? In other words, who is as old as me??? hehe!
Today's card is for our Fabby Friday post at Tiddly Inks - a time when we can choose one of our favourite images and go colour!
I chose to use the lovely Fairy Sunny Day... and look at me - yet again, I made a card where the strongest colour isn't pink! In fact... really.... shock/horror.... it's yellow again!! Yellow is a colour I don't normally go for (as most of you may have picked up in my previous posts..) but I'm getting to like it! Do you think I need treatment?? Is there a cure???
Card Recipe:
Paper - Echo Park Sweet Girl
Dies: Dienamics Fishtail Banner and Button Border (for the one button!)
Colouring - Copics:
Hair - Y21, YR23, E15/18
Skin - E000/00/21/11/04, R20
Pinks - RV91/95 (Wings), RV14, R56/39
Greens - G82/99
Flowers - C1/3/5
Sequins, Gems, Glitter and Hemp Cord from Stash
I have to admit, this little fairy really brightened my day when I coloured her... hope she can bring some sunshine to you too!
Why don't you take a little peek at what the other lovely ladies on the Tiddly Inks Design Team have come up with today... click on the badge below and go straight there!

Ahh yes, I remember it well, and I am willing to bet that I am a fair bit older than you LOL.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card, and a very sweet image so beautifully coloured. What a talented lady you are :o)

I'm walking on sunshine, whoa, and don't it feel good! I'll be singing that all day now - thanks! Love your card, I'm loving the yellow - they call me mellow yellow! Oh no, now I have the two songs going round in my head LOL! - back to the card, such an adorable image, magnificently coloured by your fine self and the perfect sentiment. I will be sending Eric into town with his camera when the Cunard liners are here, as it will be chocka and I'll have no chance of getting the wheelchair around - you can book a Mersey ferry tour with commentary, for each liner, and there was one for all three ships together, but it's sold out, at £65 a ticket too! hugs, Colette xx
ReplyDeleteI know that song! Now I'll be singing it all day long! lol
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful card, Christine! I love the pink and yellow together. It's a bright and cheery card, and I love it!
Have a wonderful weekend! ;o)
Another fan of the song here and a big fan of how you colored this adorable image. I like your use of yellow and think you should just follow your instincts on how to color your images. You have wonderful skills. I look at your sweet cards and smile. I feel like I am walking on sunshine and that makes me feel good! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the paper on this one Christine, fabulous image and as ever, coloured perfectly, you are so good at it, lovely work!!

I'm not old enough to remember it sung on Eurovision but of course I know the song and it's so uplifting... just like your gorgeous sunny card!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same with yellow, don't use it often but I do have a card coming up next week using yellow so maybe there's something in the air? And what's my favourite colour to combine with yellow? PINK of course! I can see you are with me on that one!
I adore this fairy image of course, and you have coloured her fabulously :-)
I hope you have a sunny day.... although it's very grey here this morning :-(
Big hugs, Kat xx
