Sizzix Mixed Media Diecuts

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with some Sizzix dies that I recently purchased.. and made two cards.  For the backing, I used a piece of watercolour paper that I'd used Distress Sprays on and wasn't happy with.  I've got to admit, this background had hit the bin, before I had to idea to use it behind these diecuts!

I adhered the diecut panels with 3D foam tape, to give depth.

Then I added a word die from Simon Says Stamp (a long time ago!) with the appropriate sentiment.  A few gems later, and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - Sizzix Thinlets Tim Holtz, MFT Stitched Rectangles,
Simon Says Stamp Wishing Word Die
Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp Wishing/Sending stamp set
Distress Spray Stain
Gems

Hope you like my make today.

Honey Bee Stamps Daisy Layered Bouquet

Hi Lovelies..

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a lovely friend of mine... using some beautiful flowers over a basket weave stencilled background...

I coloured and fussy cut the flowers, then diecut a rectangle frame which I adhered to the stencilled background with 3D foam tape.  I adhered the flowers with foam pads..  then created a sentiment - heat embossing in silver then diecutting... again with foam pads.  Then I added the whole panel to a pink card base.

Sentiment - Waffle Flower Stamps Birthday Wishes
Stencil - MFT Basket Weave

MFT Big Hello

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a card that was inspired by the lovely Natalie at NB Cards on Facebook...  such a simple make but very effective!

Firstly I used Distress Oxides to blend on the lower part of my card panel, then I used a deeper pink to stamp lots of wildflowers.

Once that was dry, I diecut the word HELLO from the panel, then cut it again 3 times from spare white card..  I adhered all of the diecut letters together, finishing obviously with the pink one. The letters then are quite deep so stand out. I adhered the panel to the pink card base, then adhered the letters back into their relative spaces.

Finally I added a little die-cut gold butterfly, to flutter above the flowers.

Card Info:
MFT Big Hello word die
Inkylicious Willow Twigs and Cardio Backyard Blooms stamp sets
Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and
Picked Raspberry (for flowers)
Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti (for tiny butterfly)

Hope you like my make today.. I'm back on my mission to use what's in my stash!

Big hugs

Gold Leafy Die

Hi Lovelies..

Today my card is obviously using my favourite colour (!)..  but in a couple of different ways.

Firstly I did a  bit of pink smooshing using my Distress Oxide ink pads and water, die-cutting a square after it was dry.  Then I die-cut a leafy branch from gold mirri card.  I adhered this with sticky dots to a die-cut circle of white cardstock, and then framed it with gold mirri matted behind.  I chose a small sentiment which I embossed with gold, and also matted that onto gold mirri.  Then I did lots of matting and layering of the pinks and white cardstock.

Card Info:
Leaf Die - sorry, no name but it's from a collection of leafy dies
Lil' Inkers Stitched Square Die
Sentiment - Pretty Pink Posh Simple Sentiments
Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry

MFT Birthday Candles

Hi Lovelies...

Today I have an 'unusual for me' card to share.... it's a masculine card!  I make them so infrequently, as they take me truly out of my comfort zone... but I really loved how this one turned out.

All I did was diecut some kraft card, both with a stitched square die and a stitched circle die..  then diecut the candles from dotty cardstock, and then finally the Celebrate word from gold mirri card.  I adhered the pieces as you can see, but used foam pads for the candles to give depth.

Card Info:
Dies - MFT Birthday Candles, MFT Celebrate Word Die,
Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Lil' Inkers Stitched Circle
Dotty Cardstock
Mirri Card
Copic Pens for flames

Hope you like my 'masculine' make!

Alex Syberia Designs Floral Balloon Extravaganza

Hey Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a card using the fabulous Floral Balloon Extravaganza stamp set from Alex Syberia Designs.  Of course, it needed to be a pink balloon!

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then stamped the sentiment and heat embossed in white on black card... which I also fussy cut.  I then added a small bit of cord for the balloon string.

For the background, I diecut a rectangle, then splattered with lots of pink and gold watercolour paints.  Unfortunately, the gold was hard to pick up on the photograph but you'll just have to imagine it!  Lastly, I adhered the balloon and the sentiment with 3D foam pads to give depth, and added a tiny bit of glitter to the flowers.

Waffle Flower Postage Collection Wildflowers

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing another card I made with the Waffle Flower Postage Collection Dies and Stamps, but this time I used their Postal Collage Wildflower stencils to create the floral images on the panels.

Then I stamped the postmarks etc, before I cut each of the images from the original die cut... creating individual stamps.  I splattered them with gold watercolour paint, then adhered them with foam pads to a kraft cardstock diecut rectangle.

I added a diecut 'hello' using mirri card, then finally added some gold circle confetti pieces.

Card Info:
Images - Waffle Flower Postal Collage Wildflower Stencils,
Waffle Flower Postage Collection Stamps
Dies - Waffle Flower Postage Collection, Hero Arts Hello Word Die,
MFT Stitched Rectangle, Circle Confetti Die
Colouring - Altenew Inkpads
Gold Watercolour Paint

Hope you like my card today.  I'm a little bit slower listing my cards on my blog lately, as to be quite honest, my craft room needs a massive sort out and it's getting to me a bit!  I keep thinking 'one day....'!

Big hugs
