1 - 2 - 3.......... PINK!!

The weeks are rushing by at great speed this year, so it's no surprise that it's time for another challenge at In The Pink...  this time our theme is:

1 - 2 - 3

which means we have to use one of something, two of another thing, and three of something else!  Does that make sense??  Hope so - it's quite easy really!

On my card - I used 1 image, 2 gemstones and 3 hearts....  get the picture?  Of course, remember that you have to use more PINK than any other colour - but that's not a hardship, is it?? LOL!

Doodle Dragon...

 

Hi Lovely Blogging Buddies...

Sorry I've been quiet for a little while...  we've been (forcibly!) upgrading the PC to Windows 10 - and then having to install a new printer too as ours was old and couldn't handle the change.... so the brain has been a bit befuddled trying to get to grips with the new technology!  But I think I'm getting there.....  so here we go!

For my card today, I've used a cutie-pa-tootie Doodle Dragon from the wonderful May release at CC Designs...  he was a darling to colour - and yes, no pink!  I really have gone OTT on the CAS bit today - but he's so gorgeous, I thought he could handle it... 

The set that he comes in has two other fabulous garden monster-type images - and a couple of sentiments too... you'll love it!

I do love seeing doodling on other people's cards - but when it came to doing it on my own, I was a bit nervous..... but I went for it and I THINK it's OK...

Challenge entered - Squirrels World Wild Thing!

Hi Peeps....

Today there is a fabulous new challenge at In The Pink - our theme is 

HAPPY ANYTHING

so it's an easy peasy one..  

I decided to use a word die and had seen a couple of techniques I wanted to try with it .. and now I can't make up my mind which I like more!  

On my first card I used an old Stamping Up flower image - and used the resist technique  - stamping first with Versamark, then embossing with white embossing powder, then blending various pink inks over the image which 'resists' the colour.  The diecut is from Hero Arts and comes in a set called Stamp and Cuts - Happy... the birthday word also comes with the set - along with lots of others... such as anniversary etc.

Then for my second card - I used a technique I'd seen used by Jennifer McGuire - although mine didn't seem to work as well as hers... more practice needed I think!  I used a double sided sticky sheet - sticking one side to white card - and then on the other side, using glitter which is pressed hard into the sticky - then colouring with alcohol markers in varying shades of pink.  The glitter still shows up well.  Again I used the Hero Arts set - with a couple of sequins too.

Today I'm here to share a card that is close to my heart..... no, not because I wear a tutu while doing my housework (!)......  but because of the fabulous sentiment!!    In my world.... Pink DOES make everything better!! LOL!  The sentiment comes (along with a couple of others) with this gorgeous Swiss Pixie Ballerina from CC Designs...

We decided to take advantage of the nice weather yesterday and head on up to the Dales for a picnic then a cream tea...  unfortunately the weather had other ideas and decided to drizzle all day - so the picnic was eaten in the car and we sat inside the cafe for our cream tea!  Ah well........  but we did manage to photograph this fabulous sight along our way..  ain't nature grand?!

Unicorn Dreams...

Hi Lovely Blogging Pals.....

Happy Weekend!  Hope you're having a lovely one - the sun is shining here - so we're off to watch a local village cricket match this afternoon - that's a first!  Well, OK, I used to do it when I was in my teens - there were a lot of handsome young cricketers to watch in those days!!

Now... onto my card - which is the reason you're here....  It's another of my DT cards for CC Designs (yes, I know, the dates have all come together this month - but hopefully you're not tiring of seeing these fabulous images!)

I used the scrumptious Meoples Unicorn Dreams stamp set - it includes both unicorns, the clouds and rainbow images, the stars... and sentiments too!

A little bin of sunshine.... (I hope!)

 

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

My title gives my feelings away......  I'm hoping for a little bit of sunshine...... and soon please!!  We've had ENOUGH cold weather.... for goodness sakes, it's May!   Roll on Summer!  

But the other reason for the title is that the little person on my card today is ALSO called Sunshine.....  and she certainly brightened my world when I coloured her.

Today is the second preview day for the brand new May release from CC Designs (available Thursday) - and oooohhh you'll ADORE what's to come...

I felt a shaker card coming on when I saw this little girlie..  so that's what I did!
