Just So Cool....

Hi Ladies

Hope you're all having a lovely Easter with lots of chocolate!

I'm here today with my launch card for All Dressed Up's April release.. and I've chosen to use 'Just So Cool' (available HERE).

This cool girlie cried out for blue jeans and waistcoat .... I remember I had an outfit like this once... and even was THAT thin once too!!  Anyway, once I started using my copics and promarkers on this, I realised I'd accidentally picked up a type of card that I don't normally use, as it doesn't allow blending properly.... so please excuse my colouring this time - as it's not one of my best efforts!

All I used otherwise was a  Papertrey Ink ric rac die, and a Li'l Inkers Stitched Banner die for the PC generated sentiment.

Hope you like.

There are some lovely new images by Wendy over at All Dressed Up - check them out here..

Happy Easter Everyone..

Hello Peeps.... and Happy Easter!

Hope the Easter Bunny has been good to you.. and that you've all got lots of lovely chocolate eggs..

Just wanted to show you a card I made for my lovely daughter Emma..  made this morning and given this afternoon....  that's what my organisation is like.. always last minute... hehe!

And see?  I can do very little pink when required...  although a hint did creep onto the egg... ooh and some glitter did too..

The image is a little cutie from Digi Stamp Boutique called Easter Baby Quack available here..  and the papers are from Doodlebug Design - a pad called Hello Spring (I think, but will check!)  The dies used are my favourite Li'l Inkers Stitched Square..  and a Nestie Large Circle.  The ribbon is from my stash, and the enamel dots are again from Doodlebug Design - I got my from Craft Mojo.

Enjoy Easter and the bank holiday tomorrow... although my lovely OH will be at work, Emma will be here so we're liable to get up to something nice..

A little flower girl....

Hi Girls

It's time again for another challenge at In The Pink...  and the theme this time is 'Digital Delight'...  in other words, we needed to use a digital image!

Now, as you know, I particularly LOVE to use digis - so it wasn't too hard for me.  And as we're sponsored this time by the very generous ALL DRESSED UP - and also as I just so happen to be a DT member there - I chose to use one of the April releases - this little cutie is called 'A Little Flower Girl' and she can be found HERE.
Card Materials:
Image - A Little Flower Girl - by All Dressed Up
Colouring - Copics
Dies: Li'l Inkers Stitched Rectangles, Li'l Inkers Stitched Hearts
Paper: Bo Bunny
Glitter and Ribbon from stash

Hope you'll join in over at In The Pink...  it's a fun place to be if you just happen to love my favourite colour.. LOL!  And you could win two All Dressed Up Digi Images of your choice - hows that for a good enough reason to enter??

My and my lovely OH are off out to lunch with friends today... I'm looking forward to a nice chat and a lovely meal.. and just MAYBE a nice glass of wine!

Fairy... nuff??

Hi Lovely Blogging Buddies..

I'm back today with a card for the Sugar Nellie  blogspot...  and I felt the need for colouring a delicate fairy...  so I decided to use 'Live Laugh Love' - (which by the way, just happens to be a favourite saying of mine).  I coloured her as pale as I could... to match these gorgeous Maja Design Spring Basics papers.  Now there isn't much more to say, as I kept the card quite simple... the stripey paper is on the reverse of the floral one... I used a Spellbinders Nestie Oval for her shape...  and then finished with some seam binding, some glitter, and a gemstone on the bow.  I didn't use a sentiment this time, as I find that a lot of people want a card without.... and I can always add a personalised sentiment if it's required.

Hope you like my delicate (if glittery!) fairy...

Big hugs

Party time!!

Hi Ladies

It's Monday morning... and here I am again - with a DT card this time for Paper Nest Dolls....  I absolutely LOVE using these images as they lend themselves so well to 'fussy cutting' - as in... they are not TOO fussy!

Miss Hollywood here is definitely off to a party with her sparkly petticoats and clutch bag..  so I didn't want to detract from her making the big splash by putting anything alongside.  So she is there in all her glory, with just a little sentiment below (done on the PC).  I coloured her with Copics and Promarkers... used a bit of Bazzil for a border at the top (punched with a Martha Stewart border punch of which I seem to have TONS!)  a bit of bakers twine and a sparkly gem... and she was done.  Easy... (well not actually - these CAS cards take some thinking about! hehe)

Hope you like, and that you will pop over to the see the current challenge at Paper Nest Dolls...  these are such fabulous images.. I KNOW you'll want to see them and what the other lovely DT members have come up with.  And there is a fabulous prize of a $20 Paper Nest Dolls gift certificate to be won if you use a Paper Nest Dolls image.......  and THEN.....  there is a massive giveaway too - check it out....  you'll automatically be entered if you enter our challenge!

A card for a special lady...

Hi Ladies

I'm late today showing this card, but I had to make sure it had been received by the lovely lady concerned before I showed it!  Today is t'other Christine's birthday (Nanaseaside to all of us)... and when I saw this image I knew I had to use it for her as it would make her smile!!  I've CASed a gorgeous card that I found on Pinterest using this image..  so thank you Colette for your inspiration.
Say hello to this fabulous little chick - she's from 'From the Heart Digital Art Stamps' and is from the Birdbrain Collection - the name of the image is (not surprisingly) Birthday Candle - it can be found HERE.

In The Pink time...

Hi Ladies

Sick of the sight of me yet??  I did say I was going to be around a lot this week...  and here I am again!!

Now.....  the theme this time over at In the Pink is 'ANYTHING BUT SQUARE'.  I thought 'I'll make a box card.. how hard can that be?'  ANSWER - VERY HARD especially when you're in a mad rush!!!!

But here it is.... thanks to Janine for the instructions which were very good.....  It's just ME that messed up.... then the camera messed up changing the pinks and whites to different shades when the photograph was taken.......  sheeeeeeeeeesh!  Whatever could have gone wrong DID!

The flower stamps were from Woodware - Clear Stamps - Mini Flowers - stamped and embossesd with white embossing powder then fussy cut, and the little flower and leaves are from Paper Smooches.  The sentiment is one of the LOTV larger sentiments.

I'd love it if you popped over to In The Pink and joined in with an UN-SQUARE creation...  it's not as easy as it looks!! hehe

Now......  later today I'm going to..... BREATHE!!

Big Hugs..

All Dressed Up time...

Hi Ladies

I'm back yet again with another card.... this time it's for our Monochrome challenge at All Dressed Up.  Now I decided to opt for WAY OUT of my (pretty pink) comfort zone and go the whole hog - I chose to do Black and White!

I chose to use one of Wendy's fabulous March release images... called 'A Little Me Time' (she's available HERE)... and that looks like what she's having in the hustle bustle of the city... she's ordered a cupcake!! LOL!  I do hope she also ordered a cafe latte to go with it...

I coloured her with my Copics - all the C's were in use trying to capture the monochrome effect..  hope I did it justice.  On the whole - I'm not sure of this one..  but I gave it a go is all I can say!

The skyline is a Memory Box Die...  the black and white dotty paper was from my stash, and I used the swiss dots embossing folder for the white.  The word dies are from Simon Says Stamp.  I just added a few gems and a bit of glitter here and there to give her some sparkle.

Pop over to the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog to see what my lovely teamies have come up with for this one...  they've all got a little more imagination than me I think!! hehe!

Now... to change the subject and before I disappear (and also for those that didn't see this on Facebook)....  just take a look at what my lovely daughter Emma made for me for Mother's Day.... yes MADE!!

She designed it in Photoshop using the chalkboard technique then had it printed out and added the buttons - then framed it!  I LOVE it cos she has me just right..... that's exactly what happens when I try to tidy up.  But isn't she clever doing the design???  A crafter's daughter huh???  Both of my lovely daughters have creativity in their souls....  Clare is more into baking and cooking...  I can't wait till she's back in this country so I get to sample her cupcakes again while she experiments... they're YUMMY!!

Are you ready for a little bit of gossip?

Morning Ladies..

Today I'm here with my first Sugar Nellie Design Team card...  and as I'm clinging to my schedule by the skin of my teeth this week, I thought I'd use one of my CAS designs - which show nothing BUT the fabulous image!

Meet one of my favourite little fairies...  'A Little Bit of Gossip' - available from Funky Kits here.  She's a treasure to colour...  then all I did was use a second image to fussy cut her wings and the flower.  I mounted these on 3D foam pads to give some height and depth.

The die is one of my current favourites - Stitched Square by Li'l Inkers (yes - you've seen it a lot and I think I've personally been responsible for a rise in their sales - LOL!)   Then I just used some twine and a bow to add some other interest... oh, and of course, her fairy glitter!

Here are sideways views of the card so that you can see the 3D effect.

Big Hugs and Happy Crafting.. and I hope you don't get caught out this April Fools Day morning!!
