Sassy - available FREE!

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

There is a fabulous surprise on the Kit and Clowder Facebook Page this weekend... you can get this gorgeous exclusive-to-Kit-and-Clowder All Dressed Up digital image as a Freebie! (available until 8 April)

I used Distress Oxides to create the blended background, then after colouring, fussy cut the image so that I could use foam pads to adhere her to the card, giving plenty of depth.

Card Info:
Image - All Dressed Up Sassy (available at Kit And Clowder), Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangles, Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp Thoughtful Messages, Colouring - Copics - Skin - E0000/000/00/11/04 R20, Hair - C5/7/9, Pinks - RV52/63/55/66/19, Distress Oxides - Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves

Now, if you look closely at her skirt, you can see that I've used teeny-tiny white gel pen dots on the top of the folds - to give the impression of sparkle..  because of course, she needed to shine!

The lovely Alyce at Kit and Clowder would love you to share what you make using Sassy on the Facebook page - and I'd love to see your makes too.

Brianna The Butterfly...

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Happy Easter to you all..  I hope you have a lovely weekend planned - and that the Easter Bunny is going to drop by and leave some chocolate for the munching of....

Of course, being Friday, it's Bellarific time again at Stamping Bella - and we're showcasing stamps from the new release.  I fell in love with these butterflies as soon as I saw them in this release - so knew I had to colour one of them for my card today.  I chose Brianna (don't worry, I don't have favourites, she was just the first one that came to hand.  You see - I don't like upsetting fairy feelings by choosing one over the others - who will soon get their turn!)

I stamped a second image - and fussy cut the wings so I could 3D them to give depth to the image - and I've got to tell you, I was close to tears when I cut the second fairy away from her wings so I could use them!! Is anyone else as mad as me??? LOL!

And being a fairy - she deserved lots of pink and glitter - including the sequin mix that I added to the shaker element.  I added a little sentiment done on the PC that I thought matched the image well.

Card Info:
Image - Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Brianna The Butterfly, Dies - Mama Elephant Madison Avenue Framed Tags, MFT Stitched Fishtail Flags, Paper from Stash, Colouring - Copics - Skin - E0000/000/00/11/04 R20, Hair - C5/7/9, Dress - R10/11/32, Wings - RV55/63/55 V000/01/20, Glitter and Sequins

It was quite difficult to photograph the glitter and depth properly - hopefully I've managed to give you some idea with the extra photos.

Let's Celebrate

Hi Lovelies...

I had a little time to play this morning - so I made a really quick card with some MFT goodies that have been lurking for a little while.  I've used the Celebrate word die before, but this is the first time I've used one of the older dies - Birthday Candles.

There isn't any colouring at all on this card - just die cutting - which makes a lovely change.

Card Info:
MFT Birthday Candles Dies, MFT Celebrate Die

It's not all that easy to photograph gold mirri card - but in real life, it looks lovely!

Hope you like my ultra quick make...

Always Love an Edna (or Two)...

Hi Again Lovely Bloggers....

I'm back again to share my last two makes for the fabulous sneaky peekies at Stamping Bella..  and I've got to say, with my favourite character of them all (but shhhhhhhh don't the gnomes!!!)

My first card is using Edna Loves to Sweep...  isn't she amazing with that feather duster flying and the china balanced while she cleans??  Of course, she's dressed in her favourite outfit to do her housework..  I so wish I looked like that while I clean!!  I fussy cut her so that she'd stand out on my card... I think I have a fussy cutting addiction as I love to sit with my sharp scissors cutting out these characters.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Edna Loves to Sweep (available 6 March), Die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border, Paper - Scrap from Stash, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/71 R20   Hair E23/25/79   Outfit - RV55/66   Wings   V000/B60   Cups RV91/93, G40/43, V01, B01/41

And now onto my second card...  This is Edna to the Rescue...  She's carrying a mahoosive Band Aid to make her patient feel better.. how could she not do that?!

Her nurses uniform is amazing - I just love Edna to bits and wish she'd come look after me if I feel bad!

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Edna To The Rescue (available 6 March), Paper - Scrap from Stash, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/71 R20   Hair C5/7/9    Uniform B23/26/28   Reds R27/46   Apron C0/1  Wings V000 B60   Shading and Grounding T0/1/3

So that's the last of the Sneaky Peekies done.... are you all ready for the release launch tomorrow?  I know I am!!  Sooo excited as there are an AMAZING number of wonderful images that I NEED in this release!

Gnoming me... Gnoming you......

Hi There Lovelies...

Happy Sunday!

Hope you're all excited seeing these wonderful new images from the epic new release at Stamping Bella..  today I'm sharing my Gnome makes!!

My first card is using 'Gnome on a Swing' -  named for obvious reasons!!  LOL!  This little guy is swinging away, enjoying life - wouldn't we all love to do that one sunny afternoon? I wanted to fussy cut the image....  and yes.....  I managed to fussy cut the swing ropes... get me!!  Then a lovely friend inspired me to create a shaker - and here's the result...

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Gnome on a Swing (available 6 March), Die - Your Next Stamp Stitched Scalloped Rectangle, Colouring - Copics - Gnome BG53/57, T0/1/3/5, N0/1/3, Leaves G07/14, Caterpillar W0/1/3, Clouds sponged with Distress Inks, Sequins

I also stamped a second gnome, and fussy cut his nose and feet from the image(ouch!) 3D-ing them up to give the card depth.

Next....

My second card today is using 'The Gnome and The Butterfly' - don't you just love these little characters???  This one is having a little chat to his friend the butterfly, shouting to be heard over the noise of the sequins rattling!  Of course, the butterfly deserved lots of glitter... I do wish you could see it in real life..  photographs never do glitter justice, and when I took these photos, the light was poor too.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella The Gnome and The Butterfly (available 6 March), MFT Square Peek-a-Boo die, Paper - Doodlebug Designs, Colouring - Copics - Butterfly - V000/01/15/20 RV52/55 Gnome - Skin E000/00 Hat - G07/14 Coat - B23/26/28 Beard T0/1

I also stamped and cut an extra wing - so I could 3D it - making the butterfly look like it's actually perched on the card...

I'll be back tomorrow with yet more fabulousness from Stamping Bella..  I think we're all going to be poised over the Stamping Bella website waiting to get our orders in on Tuesday!!

Happy Crafting...

Playtime.....

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

I've been doing a bit of playing with cards other than DT makes while we've had all this snow here in the UK..  I was inspired by a card made by Laurie Willison who is on the MFT Design Team.  I've seen this MFT Happy Birthday Circle Frame used a few different ways... but I think this has to be my favourite.

For my first card, I used a little fairy from The Greeting Farm Little Fairies set for the centre..  coloured in PINK of course..  then I coloured each of the letters in the circle frame a different rainbow colour.

Then for my next card, I used one of the gorgeous unicorns from the MFT Magical Unicorns set...  this guy is perfect for the main attraction, don't you think??

I used an embossing folder for the background, layered on a coloured card base, just to give it that extra touch of colour.

I used an MFT Pierced Circle which I lifted up with double foam pads to give room for the Happy Birthday frame.

I bought all of the dies and stamps from Dies To Die For.

I will pop back later and add the Copic colours used... but the list is upstairs and my legs are tired....

Big hugs
