Paper Smooches Rad Roses

Hi Ladies..

I have a bit of a picture heavy post today - I've been playing with these gorgeous Rad Roses from Paper Smooches - after being inspired by @peppermintpatty42 - and I decided to use different colours/shades/backgrounds.

My first one uses the Sunny Studio Designs Frilly Frames die over a Distress Oxide Ink Blended background for behind the roses.. and I diecut the flowers from gold mirri - so I could use the outlines, and then diecut again from white, which I coloured before placing in the gold mirri.

This one again is  using the Sunny Studio Frilly Frames die, but this time with a rectangle cut from the centre - so I could use a dry embossed panel.  I then used a Stamping Bella Smile Word Die and diecut it from my gold mirri again, and did the flowers in a similar way to above, just using different pinks.

My third card is a very similar design to the second, but this time I went for yellow.  Also this time, I figured the easier way to do the flowers - just by leaving all the white pieces in the original cut - colouring them all (no need to stay within the lines on this one), then placed the gold mirri card outline OVER the top adhering it in place, so it's actually in 3D.  The Birthday word die is from Mama Elephant, and the Happy is from an older stamp set that I embossed in gold.

Gotta love a little playtime in our crafty rooms, haven't we peeps??  I do hope you like the result!

Fabulous Flamingos...

Hey Peeps...

Hope you're all well and staying safe....

Now these two little flamingos have been waiting patiently to be made into a card, so yesterday was their day!!

I used a circle stencil to blend some Distress Oxides through onto a diecut rectangle - I wanted to give the flamingos a tropical background and this seemed the best way...  then I also stamped the sentiments, heart and some of the foliage/flowers that come with the stamp set.  I coloured and fussy cut them before adhering all to my card base.

Card Info:
Stamp and Sentiments - Sunny Studios Fabulous Flamingos
Circle Stencil - Taylored Expressions
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Paper - Doodlebug Designs Under the Sea
Colouring - Copics
Flamingos - R81/83/85 C1
Leaves and Flowers - YG61/17, Y38, R85

I really enjoyed colouring and designing this card - you know how it is when things just 'come together' - when what you've imagined turns out well - that's the feeling I got!

Hope you like it too..

Bundle Girl with a Cornflower

Hi Peeps...

Bellarific Friday has come around again, and this time we're using images from the latest release..  so I chose to use the gorgeous Bundle Girl with a Cornflower for my card.

After studying some cornflowers in the garden, I've tried to recreate the colours..  believe it or not, they have a reddish centre..  just in case you thought I'd taken leave of my senses!

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Scalloped Square Frames
Colouring - Copics
Coat and Hat - Y15/17/YR24
Flowers - B60/63/79/41/45 R89
Leaves - YG23/25/17
Grass - Prismacolour Pencils

I was going to try to put a sentiment or even a diecut word - but decided to leave well alone as it would have looked too much I think.

Hope you like my make today..  and that you're home, staying safe.  But don't forget, you can join in the fun at the Stamping Bella Sistahood Facebook Page, or check out the Stamping Bella blog for more inspiration.

Alcohol Ink playing again...

Hi Lovelies...

A quick post from me today to show you what I've been playing with.

Last week I played with my alcohol inks, creating lots of different panels to use as backgrounds.  I love how the colours flow into each other, looking like wild silk...  it really is an addictive hobby!

Anyway, I decided to create some easy cards with them - using sentiments from the Paper Smooches Sampler set - I often use this set for when I want something really clear but also looks good!

Here are some more of the cards I made...  I think I'll be stocked up for a while!

Big hugs and Stay Safe..

Audrey Loves MakeUp

Hi Lovelies..

It's Bellarific Friday - yayy!  And we're here showcasing the fabulous Uptown Girls - one of which is Stamp of the Month of course.  I chose to colour this gorgeous lady with her stylish looks and ultra slim shape!

Firstly I used a circle stencil and blended Distress Oxides through, before splattering with water to lift some of the colour, and give a textured effect.  Then I coloured and fussy cut the image..  believe it or not I used a colour wheel for my colour choices..  and I think I'm happy with how it turned out.

Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Colouring - Copics
Dress - G40/12/00

I made this card, and one other exactly the same, for my two daughters, who I'm missing so much!  We'd normally be all together at Easter.. but we've managed to chat over Facetime etc, which is the best we can do.  I can't wait to have proper hugs tho...

For my card I've used the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Days Stamp Set..  it's got such lovely clear images, they are a job to colour.

I added a little tag with the sentiment done on the PC.

More Playing with Alcohol Inks... making some cards for men!

Hi Lovelies...

How're you doing in this awful lock down?  Hope you're all keeping well!

I've been keeping busy playing with more alcohol inks..  and this time I've diecut the panel I'd created with the MFT Happy Birthday Block die.

Firstly, I diecut - then used my Press n'Seal over the cut letters to keep them in place, before using glue to adhere the backs to the square diecut panel.  I burnished over the Press'n'Seal so they wouldn't lift before I peeled it off.  One card done!  And then....

I took the negative that was left after I'd done the first card, and decided to mount it on a square of white, then a mat of gold mirri - before finally a dark blue card.  I had to make sure I'd kept all the little bits from the letters when I did the first diecut..  but all were there so I was a happy bunny!  Waste not, want not, huh???  And see what I did...

Hope you like my make today.  These alcohol inks are truly addictive - if I get a spare 5 mins, I go and create a panel...  I now have to only figure what other cards I'll be making with them!

Big Hugs to all and Stay Safe...
