Taylored Expressions Festive Fir Stencil, Stamping Bella Christmas Trees

Hi Lovelies...

Well I'm sharing the last of my Christmas cards for 2022...  I know I should have got them blogged earlier... but hey... never too late???

First my first two of these cards, I've used the Taylored Expressions Festive Fir Stencil.  For one, I used the Sweet Poppy Transluscent Dimension Paste through the stencil, removing it quickly..  allowing the paste to dry, then using a rose gold foil laid over the image, and lastly put through a laminating machine.

Then for this second one, I used Versamark Ink through the stencil, then gold embossing powder after the stencil was removed - before heat embossing it.

For both of those cards, I went ahead straight onto the card base... no layers in sight!

Now these last two cards are using a stamp that is about 15+ years old and it means so much to me as it's from when I first fell in love with Stamping Bella.  After our recent sad news about our lovely Emily DaBella... I felt it was fitting to use this image (which by the way, still stamps perfectly!), for some cards this year.

It's such a beautifully CAS image, that all it needed was some gold heat embossing.. with a touch of glitter within the trees.  I just added a tiny sentiment, some matting and layering with gold, and they were done.  The first is on a pale blue cardstock, and the second on white.

OK... so that's it for my Christmas cards this year - phew!

Thanks so much for all the support you've give me throughout the year and I look forward to posting lots more cards in 2023!  If you don't already follow me on Instagram... my tag is @cardsbychristine - you can find me there - though I do give more info about the cards I make here.

Hope you all have a happy and healthy 2023 and I'll see you then!

Sizzix Tim Holtz Christmas Cutouts

Hi Peeps...

I'm still sharing cards that I made for this Christmas - I just have a couple left and need to get them blogged before next year!

I used the fabulous Sizzix Tim Holtz Christmas Cutouts for my card today..  using an arch frame die to frame the little scene.  I've used the buildings, trees, stars and clouds from the die set..  I know this set will come in handy in the future, as it has lots of bits... including words which I haven't used here!

I die cut the arch, and did a little doodling around it to give it a bit extra pop.  Then I blended a night sky and adhered the cut outs.

Card Info:

Dies - Sizzix Tim Holtz Christmas Cutouts
MFT Arch Frame
Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Stamp
Colouring - Copics
Sentiment - Pretty Pink Posh

Hope you like this one as much as I enjoyed making it!  Watch this space for another one or two before New Year!

Stamping Bella Tangled Gnomes

Hi Lovelies...

It's Bellarific Friday again..  and this time we have a colour inspiration photo to inspire us.

So out came my Christmas gnomes..  and I chose this pair to use as they remind me of a day a couple of weeks ago, when we were putting up our Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  Boy.... were they in a tangle!  We're generally pretty good when we put them away each year, but it seems this time, we'd just got them in the box quickly and shut the lid!  But we did manage eventually to get them untangled, thank goodness!

Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Paper - Memory Box Pixie

I'd like to wish everyone who follows me and supports me in my card-making journey a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and here's to a WONDERFUL 2023!

Amanda Jayne Designs Reindeer Tags

Hi Lovelies..

Just popping in to show these little tags that I've coloured today... they're using a Freebie from the Kit and Clowder Advent Calendar..  and are designed by Amanda Jayne Designs.  I think the freebie will still be available for a day or so.

I coloured them with Prismacolors on to kraft card, then fussy cut around the design.  I just added a teeny touch of white gel pen to their noses for a bit of shine... then threaded some stripey bakers twine so they could be tied onto the gifts I'm wrapping.  Hope you like...

Hero Arts Poinsettia

Hi Peeps...

I made this card for a good friend...  in my favourite pink of course!  I used a Gina K Designs Holiday Flora Embossing Folder on a lighter pink than the base, then die cut a Hero Arts Paper Layering Poinsettia flower - cutting the centre from glitter card so it pops.  I added a gold heat embossed little sentiment then added strips of the base card and some ribbon... and it was done...  hope you like it!

Gina K Designs Ornament

Hi There...

I'm sharing a couple of cards today that I made with the Gina K Designs Ornament Cover Plate.  For the first, I used the die for a shaker card, cut from rose gold glitter card.  Then for the second, I used all the negative parts of the original die cut (using press'n'seal to keep them in place) - then adhering them to card stock.

I added a tiny sentiment to each, and was pleased with the result.

I know this is an unusual colour combo for Christmas/Holiday cards - but hey...  we all have to try something different... yes??

A Colorful Life Designs Three Wise Men

Hi Peeps

Today I'm sharing this simple Christmas card made with a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs...  it really is easy peasy to use!

I used Pixie Spray on the back of the Three Wise Men stencil - then used Distress Inks to blend over the stencil.  I did a bit of white splattering onto the night sky while the stencil was in place.. and added a little die cut star.  I peeled off the stencil and was left with the white design of the image... plus a white base, perfect for adding this sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

Then I used my MFT Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the panel, which I adhered to my card base with fun foam.  All done and soooo easy!

RAM Stamps Snowglobe

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a card made with one of the new digital images from RAM Stamps - this is called Snowglobe (for obvious reasons!)

I love colouring snowmen - or should I say shading them, as there's little colouring involved!  After I'd coloured him - I coloured the background, then used a white gel pen to create a snow scene.  I used a white colouring pencil to give the effect of light reflecting on the snowglobe glass at the top right and I added glitter to the snow that this little guy is standing on.  Then I stamped a little sentiment on the base of the globe, and fussy cut the image, before mounting it onto a card panel that I'd dry embossed with a dotty background folder.

Card Info:
Sentiment - Pretty Pink Posh
Dotty Embossing Folder
Colouring - Copics
Snow - BV31/0000
Hat - C5/7/9 RV27/46 E57

Sky - B14/16
White Gel Pen and White Pencil
Glitter

Hope you like my lovely snowman as much as I enjoyed making this card.  Don't forget to pop over to the RAM Blog for more inspiration from the team.

Scrap Strips Cards

Hi Lovelies...

I've been inspired to create when I've seen cards using strips of scraps recently..  and as I have an OVERLOAD of scrap paper that I struggle to throw away.. I decided to play!

I cut lots of strips - around 1 cm wide, then adhered them to some acetate, with a slight gap between each strip... not quite enough to see the acetate properly to detract from the strips.  As you can see - not surprisingly, lots of my strips are pink! Then I put thin foam tape on the acetate behind the strips, and adhered to a diecut panel, finally adding a diecut flower and word to finish.

Dies Used:
Pink Fresh Studio Beautiful Blooms Dies
Spellbinders Sealed Wildflower Dies
Honey Bee Stamps Buzz Words Dies

I was thrilled with how these turned out.. and as there was only die-cutting involved, with dies already in my stash, they didn't take long and cost next to nothing!

Hope you like my makes today...

Stamping Bella North Pole Backdrop

Hi Lovelies...

Well, after the extremely sad news of last weekend, I'm struggling to write my first Bellarific Friday post since our lovely Emily passed away.  I think we're all trying to process that she is no longer here... but need to keep going - and crafting can provide a perfect therapy to focus on.

I'd planned to use this gorgeous North Pole Backdrop, so have done so.  It's such a fabulous background scene.. and needs only a sentiment to complete.  I stamped, coloured and masked the image - then blended Distress Inks for the sky, before splattering with white acrylic paint.  I finished with lots of glitter on the snow.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire
Colouring - Copics
Trees - YG23/25
Snow - BV31/0000

Reds - R24/27/46 RV14
Sign - T3/5

RAM Stamps The Nutcracker Set

Hey Peeps...

Today I've used a fabulous digital stamp set from RAM Stamps called The Nutcracker...  it's a scene creator set and has lots of images that can be put together in whatever way you wish to create a scene.

I chose to use the gorgeous fairy with her friend the mouse, in front of the Christmas tree.  The images are so easy to use and there's no masking required... it's so easy to 'send to back' when you want, for instance, the tree in the background and the characters in the front.

After adding the sentiment, then printing, I coloured the image and added some glitter.  Then I added some die cut stars to the background and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - MFT Stitched Rectangles, Tiny Stars
Colouring - Copics
Tree - G82/20 YG11 E31/33 Lights - Y38
Fairy - R81/83/85 YR61/65 C0/1 Hair - E21/23 Crown - Y18/38
Mouse - C0/1/2 Coat - R24/27/46 Pants - B01
Shading - W0/1/2/3
Glitter

Hope you like my make today - Christmas is drawing close and I still have lots more cards to share!

Stamping Bella Bundle Girl with a Tree

Hi Lovelies..

For today's Bellarific Friday card, I've used the gorgeous little Bundle Girl with a Tree...  she must be strong to manage that size of tree all by herself!

I coloured and fussy cut the image (yes, even the lights!), then created a background by stamping the Fa La La stamp then heat embossing in white, before using my pink Distress Inks blended over the words.  I then adhered the Bundle Girl with 3D foam pads.

Card Info:
Background Stamp - The Stamp Market Fa La La
Distress Inks - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry
Colouring - Copics
