With Love...

Hi Lovelies...

I'm sharing a card today that was made really quickly.... not a bit of colouring anywhere!

I used the fabulous With Love Shaker Die from Pretty Pink Posh... adding some 3D foam tape around the scalloped edge, then a heart shape back to create space for the shaker... adding lots of lovely sequins.

All I did then was matt and layer some gorgeous floral paper onto some card the same colour as the shaker back..  before adhering the shaker unit onto the card.

I've just added this photo too - to show what a difference it makes using different coloured backdrops to your photo set up.

We've not had good light here in my part of the UK today - it's been minus 3 degrees most of the day with lots of freezing fog - so I've been lucky to get a photograph at all!  I think my camera tends to over-compensate and adds too much light at times..  I'd be very interested to know what kind of set up you have, as I think it's time for me to change!

Celebrate!

Hi Lovelies...

I'm here today to share a card using the uber-cute Birthday Chicks from MFT which I've been meaning to use for a while.......  along with the new Pretty Pink Posh Celebrate Shaker die.  They go so well together!

I coloured the chicks with my Copics, then fussy cut them.  I then die-cut two of the Celebrate Frame to make it stronger - before adding acetate and 3D foam tape along the edges.  I used lots of sequins in the shaker bit....  the more the better as always!

Stamps - MFT Birthday Chicks
Die - Pretty Pink Posh Celebrate, MFT Stitched Rectangle

Lovey Gnomes.....

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back today to share my Bellarific Friday make for Stamping Bella...  and for my card I've used this cute pair of Lovey Gnomes.... well, it's Valentine's Day soon, isn't it? LOL!

As you can see, I decided to do some 'no-lines' colouring - which I don't do often, but I do love the effect when I do manage to give it a go.

Firstly though, I die-cut a heart shape from masking paper, adhered it to my card, then blended through with Distress Oxides to create the heart background - sprinkling a few drops of water to remove drops of colour - this gives interest.

I stamped the gnomes in Memento Desert Sand which gives a very pale outline.

Card Info:
Dies: MFT Heart Stax, MFT Stitched Rectangles, Simon Says Stamp Mini Hearts Set
Paper - Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow
Distress Oxides - Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry and Fossilized Amber
Gems

I diecut some tiny red hearts too and adhered them randomly - so this card is definitely full of love - hope you like it.

If you'd like more Gnome inspiration, pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see what my lovely fellow Babes have come up with... and don't forget there is a fabulous challenge over on the Stamping Bella Sistahood Facebook Page, where you can also share any of your lovely Stamping Bella makes - we love to see what you create.

Sparkle Wherever You Go!

Hi Lovelies...

I had a lovely fun time yesterday colouring this little unicorn munching on birthday cake... and here's the result...

The digital images of the cake and unicorn are from a set called Unicorn Birthday by Isabel Cristina Stamps - available from Etsy here.   I was inspired to use this set by lovely Tina from My Piece of Paper - who had merged these images on this stunning card.  I contacted her to make sure she didn't mind me merging similarly - and she was good enough to talk me through the layering process!  She also has a tutorial on her blog if you'd like to see how it's done. The crafting world is pretty wonderful when it comes to helping one another and sharing knowledge, isn't it??

Card Info:
Paper - Sunny Studio Designs Polka Dot Parade
Colouring - Copics
Unicorn and Cake - T0/1/2/3 Hooves C5/7
Horns - Y17/38/ YR24/09

Hope you like my make today...  I hope unicorns never go out of style as I DO love them!!

Harry The Stuffie Gets Happy Mail

Hi Peeps..

I'm back today with my make for this week's Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella..  and I'm using one of the older images for this make - meet Harry The Stuffie - with his Happy Mail!  I do love colouring the Stuffies with curly fur - using lots of dots.. as I like the effect.  I then fussy cut him before adhering him with a foam pad to the card.

I think this image is perfect for around Valentine's day (which, yes, is coming up soon!)  I used the Stamping Bella Mwah word die and die cut it three times to stick together before adhering to the card so the word has depth.

Card Info:
Paper - Sunny Studio
Colouring - Copics
Bear - E41/42/43/44/47/79
Envelope - T0/1
Reds - R27/46

Hope you like my make today.. don't forget to pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more inspiration.... and also we'd love to see you share your fab Stamping Bella creations on our Stamping Bella Sistahood Facebook Page.

Yellow???? Yikes... Yes, it's me!

Hi Lovelies...

It IS me.... using one of the colours that as you know, I generally avoid... but I decided this fabulous bloom needed a sunshine colour - so I picked out my yellow zig markers, and this is the result!

It's been pouring with rain here all day today, so this colouring really brightened my mood...  and I decided to use gold mirri card as a mat for the 'beautiful' word and also for the whole card.  It's difficult to photograph, but I think you can just spot that it IS actually gold!

Card Info:
Stamp - MFT Beautiful Bloom
Die - MFT Beautiful Word Die
(both available in the UK from Dies to Die For)
Other sentiment done on PC
Colouring - Zig Clean Colour Markers
Gems

My design was inspired by a card I spotted on The Unpampered Stamper's blog (thanks!)..  which had stamped images of this bloom over the edge of the card..  I liked the effect so decided to give it a try.

Hope you like my make today - it's an effective card, but doesn't take a lot of colouring... I only used two colours then used a water brush to blend.  With water colours - I always feel that the blending shouldn't be absolutely perfect - well that's my excuse!

Twinkle Toes

Hi Lovelies...

Happy New Year!  Hope 2019 brings you and yours everything you wish for!

I'm back today with an Inspiration DT card for All Dressed Up - my first for Wendy since before I was in hospital...  and I SO loved getting back in the swing!  This card is for our new challenge - the theme is

CLEAN AND SIMPLE

And seeing I've used a lot of pink lately - I decided to go with my next favourite colour this time - purple/violets.

Card Info:
Sentiment - The Greeting Farm Little Fairies
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Paper - Anna Marie Designs
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/04 R20
Hair - E41/42/43/44
Purples - V01/12/15/17
Shading T0/1/3
Glitter and Jewel Dot

I fussy cut a second skirt and set of wings so that I could adhere them with a foam pad - it gives lots of depth to the image - but is difficult to photograph...  hope you can see what I did.

We're having a quiet celebration of the New Year today - my lovely man set rockets and fireworks off at midnight last night to see out the old year - so we're a bit on the tired side today (nothing to do with the brandy we got through!)
