Another Bellarific Friday has come round so quickly...  so I'm here to share my make using an image from the latest release!

I absolutely LOVE the new little Squidgy Pals (they come in a set of four!), but I chose to use just one for my card today..  choosing this little girlie who is pursing her lips a little - maybe for a kiss?  I used one of the fabulous new word dies alongside her..  trying to create an 'ombre' look on the word.

These word dies come in sets of three different sizes in each pack which make them perfect for any sort of project.. large or small! They are the first dies I've ever seen like this - and I can't tell you how useful that makes them.

Mermaid Rocks!

 

Hi Lovelies...

Hope you're having a good weekend..  I've got to say I'm glad the weather has cooled down slightly here in the UK..  I know we shouldn't complain, but I was getting a little TOO hot! LOL

Today it's my turn to share some inspiration using one of the fabulous All Dressed Up July release images...  this is Mermaid Rock.  

I loved creating the background with distress inks - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Evergreen Bough, and Salty Ocean (believe it or not, I didn't have Mermaid Lagoon - I'll have to rectify that quickly!!)  I blended them together on some watercolour paper before splashing with water to create the sea-like texture.  Then I diecut the MFT Horizontal Snowdrifts Die three times and adhered them together to give depth, before adhering them to the background.

Believe it or not, my nasty E25 Copic blobbed on her neck... spreading as wide as it could... and this was after I'd coloured her tail and skin! Grrrr!  But a lot of working at it with my colourless blender managed to save the day - thank goodness!

Summer Fun!

It's been a busy week this week for me... but I'll tell you why later!  

Today it's Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella- and this time we are using an image from the Stamp of the Month collection, ie from the Littles or Little Bits.

This stamp set is the fab Little Bits Ice Cream and Lemonade.. perfect for the wonderful summer we're having at the moment.. I think we could all do with laying on a beach with a gorgeous ice cream!

And now to the reason I've been busy this week......  I've become a Grandma!  My fabulous daughter Emma gave birth to our lovely grand-daughter, Eleanor Charlotte, last Saturday.  Of course.... I have photos to share!

I'm having lots of cuddles of course..  and I may be a little biased, but she's beautiful!!

A Little Cuddle Under the Umbrella.....

It's Bellarific Friday time over at Stamping Bella... and the the lovely babes were to use a 'vintage' image - ie, one not from the current release.  I chose to use this gorgeous pair under their brolly having a little cuddle!

I stamped the image twice so I could colour the umbrella a second time.  I then fussy cut the brolly and gave it some shape with an embossing ball, before adhering it to the original image.  I always feel that adding something in 3D gives a card added depth.  Hope the photos below allow you to see what I mean.

Be a Unicorn!

 

Hi Lovelies...

I did a bit of fun colouring yesterday...  these gorgeous little Unicorns have been sitting in my 'to use' pile for a little while, so out they came and out came my pink Copics too!  

The stamp set is by The Greeting Farm and is called Be a Unicorn..  you get all four of these cuties, plus lots of sentiments and extras.  

I decided to create a sentiment on the PC and use my trusty Stampin' Up sentiment punch.

I used some Picked Raspberry Distress ink sponged onto the card to give a little background to the unicorn...
