Getting some gardening done...

Hi Lovely Blogging Pals....

Two cards in one day???  So unusual for me!  But every now and again, there are two DT cards due on one day - and they clash a bit - so I do hope you'll check out my In The Pink card too - you'll have to scroll down a touch..

This is my DT card for Whimsie Doodles - and I've used a gorgeous Summer Fun image called Garden Girl..  I've gone for a change in colour... but there's still some pink......  and even a touch of glitter too!

It was difficult to photograph this one, as it has a fold down the centre of the front - and the image 'hangs off' if you know what I mean... sorry, I don't know the name of the fancy fold!  Anyway, I've taken a couple of photos so you can see what I'm talking about.

See what I mean?  There's a place inside to write a message...  a blank white card cut with the Stitched Rectangle die.

Materials Used:
Paper - From stash - sorry no name
Die: Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle
Colouring: Copics
Skin - E000/00/21/11, R20
Hair: E21/34/23
Greens: YG11/63/67
Pot: E13/15, YR14, E35
Pinks: R83/85
Shading: B0000/000
Punched Butterflies (in actual fact to hide where my Copic pen leaked!)

Hi Best Blogging Buddies....

It's time for a wonderful new challenge at IN THE PINK...   and we've come up with another fabulous theme for you..

with Adirondack Lights Shell Pink

Sugar Nellie Live Laugh Love

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends....

It's my turn today to share an inspiration card for Sugar Nellie..  and you KNOW I have a weakness for fairies, particularly these Fairy Glen fairies... so I decided this little lady had to have another outing!!  OK, I gave her a new colour job... I think I've done her in blue and turquoise before...  so violet seemed a change!

Materials used:
Paper - Pink Petticoat

Hair: E21/34/23

Hopefully she'll sprinkle a little fairy dust around and make the weather change to a bit warmer... while I've been typing and scheduling this post (Tues eve), we've had thunder and hailstones the size of marbles landing in our garden!

Have a good day... Hope the sun shines!

Big hugs

Happy Days..

Hi Peeps....

Well there's something about this little guys that really has my heart...  you gotta love them cos they make you smile!!  And because of that,  you'll be seeing a lot of them in the near future here on my blog..

My card today was inspired by the lovely Torico - who in actual fact is the illustrator for these images for My Favourite Things (such a talented lady) - I saw a wonderful MFT DT card by her using this colouring, and although you know that normally I steer well clear of yellow... this time it really looked right with the green and turquoise.  I've used a similar design to Torico also...  (being inspired by the best of course!) - although I have put my own spin on it... hope you like!

Ocean's Gift... and a freebie digi paper!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend..  my OH is at work both days, so I'll be getting lots of crafting time... and then he had 'in lieu' days during the week - so we'll have a couple of nice days then - I win both ways! LOL!

Now.....  this weekend Alyce at Kit and Clowder is hosting her 6000 members party.... with a theme of 'Under the Sea' - and at Sugar Nellie (as we have some BEAUTIFUL mermaid images now in digi form as well as rubber), we wanted to join in the fun!  The party starts later today at the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group... click on the logo...

These beautiful marine images are available in both rubber and digi - I have used Ocean's Gift..  this little mermaid has found a beautiful pearl.  So with the title in mind,  I also decided to give a gift.... my first ever digital paper which I created as the background for this image...  all you need to do is right-click to enlarge... then save to your files.  It will look quite small, but I promise it will print out at 6 x 6 inches (or whatever size you require and change it to).  I created this with Photoshop Elements - and played about with gradients (thanks Colette!), and then lots of underwater marine type brushes..  Hope you like!  Like I say, it IS my first ever digi paper - but now I know how to do them... watch this space!! hehe!

Now.. quelling my excitement about my digital work and back to my card..  I did LOTS of fussy cutting......  and by the time I was finished I'd decided NEVER to fussy cut again (have you seen her hair?!)...  so if you see me with my Martha Stewart scissors in my hand........  tell me NO!!!

Materials:
Colouring - Copics
Skin E000/00/21/11, R20
Hair E21/34/23
Blue Greens: BG10/11/72/75/01
Violets: V01/04
Rocks shading: C0/1/2/3/5
Glitter, Sequins and Glossy Accents

Have a lovely weekend all...  and if you do take the digi paper, let me know as I'd love to see what you make with it!

Big hugs

A stitch in time.......

Hi Peeps

Sorry I've been quiet for a little while...  I had a craft fair last weekend - so was pretty busy...  even though the fair was disappointing!  It was only in a small village hall - with very little footfall...  most people it seemed came for the tea and cake rather than looking at the stalls!  Ah well, I ended up in profit and had a lovely few hours.... AND some cake too!

Time for another challenge at In The Pink - and I'm here with my DT card - using one of my favourite images at the moment.... it's the beautiful Flower Maiden from A Day For Daisies....  and a deep dusky pink...

And as our theme this time is

STITCHING - REAL OR FAUX

... I had to dig out my sewing machine and give it a go!  I think my lower tension needs some adjustment - but as I've only used my machine for curtains for the last 15 years or so...  I don't really know how to do it!  Ah well...  it managed what I needed so I was happy...

Materials:
Paper -
Diamante and Pearl Trim - JJD Creations
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/21/11 R20
Hair E21/34/23
Pinks RV91/93/95
Shading B0000/000
Grounding T0/1
Glitter

Hope you like what I did with her and that you'll join in the stitching fun at In The Pink - don't forget, you don't need to actually stitch - it can be any type of faux stitching too... including dies!

Our sponsors at In the Pink this time are very generous Ribbon Girl - you could win a £10 gift voucher if your card is chosen!

So... what's stopping you???

Big hugs to all and Happy Crafting...

A little Gorjuss-ness.....

Hey Peeps....

I'm here today with a fabulous Gorjuss Girl image for my Sugar Nellie inspiration post.... meet Ruby on her swing!  Isn't she just gorgeous (or gorjuss?!)
And yes... she demanded PINK!!  This wasn't a request.... it was a definite demand!!  I'm saying this, because my lovely blogging friend Colette thinks that my craft room must be very noisy with all these images telling me what colour they should be...  and yes, it IS noisy.... but that's the music... the voices are in my head!  (yes.... I'm THAT bad!)

And hopefully.......  Colette and I are meeting up today - she's coming across the border to Yorkshire.... I'm really looking forward to saying hello!

Sorry that the camera has changed the colour of the glittered panel around the image...  it actually in real life does match the paper..  but there you go..  best laid plans etc...

Materials
Paper - Prima All About Me
Die: Dienamics Rounded Banner Stax
Colouring - Copics
Skin (usual)
Hair: C0/1/3/5/9
Pinks: RV91/93/95
Shading T0/1/3
Ropes N3/4
Uni Posca pen for white dots
Glitter

I used the 'out of the box/die' technique for her dangly legs...  I did a video tutorial on this technique a couple of years back...  if you'd like to take a look to see how it's done... check out my tutorial on YouTube HERE.  You made have to ignore my northern accent!! LOL!  Isn't it awful when you hear yourself and you think 'I don't sound like that'!  Hmm... or is that the voices in my head again?? hehe!

Big hugs to all and Happy Crafting...

Morning Peeps...

I'm back again with another spring/summer time fun card...  this little gnome captured my heart and I just had to colour him!!  I was very lucky as the lovely Tracy at Dies to Die For had just one set left before she restocks - and she got it to me in super quick time!

Lil' Inkers Stitched Square
Paper: Echo Park - I Love Sunshine

Trousers - E99/57/43

I thought I'd get round to using my newer stamps... though I have used this little set before, I haven't used this particular one.  I have a craft show on Saturday, so I thought I'd get some Spring-like cards ready!
