Here I am with my Bellarific Friday card for Stamping Bella... this time we're using stamps from the newest release.  

One of my favourites from that release (I have many - d'oh) is Garden Girl Violet - I just love her pretty dress and the way she's posing for the camera..   So I chose to colour her and pop her onto a shaker card to make the recipient smile - as the word says!  I'm enjoying purple/violet colours just lately so the only pink on this little lady is on her cheeks... lol!

Today, I'm sharing my DT card for All Dressed Up - showcasing one of the fabulous new release this month.  This little cutie has to be my favourite and is called Play Day - and she's certainly looking the part in her little denim jacket over her sparkly tutu and polka dot wellies!

Up, Up and Away!!!

 

Hi Lovelies....

How're you all doing?  If you're in the UK like me, I hope you've been able to enjoy the sunshine and warmth we've been having this week...  seems we've skipped Spring and gone straight to Summer!

And talking of summer...  I love seeing hot air balloons in the sky..  so this image is perfect for me for this week.  It's for our Bellarific Friday - and we have used another stamp from the Stamp of the Month section - mine is Ramona and Teddy in a Balloon..

I went for another shaker card and used Distress Inks for my cloud background.. before adding the acetate and frame - complete with lots of lovely sequins of course.   After colouring the balloon, I adhered it with 3D foam pads to the acetate.  My lovely man provided the clever sentiment - which I thought was very apt for this image!

Cheeky Little Darling...

I'm back firmly in my pink zone today - with this 'just-for-fun' card using a gorgeous digital image from The Greeting Farm.  

As soon as I saw this little lady appear, I knew I had to colour her pink..  and here she is.  I've also been inspired by the lovely Jenny D to try to add little daisies to her dress..  I started off with polka dots, then with a smaller white pen, added the petals, finishing with a dot of colour on the centre of the original polka dot.  They're not as good as Jenny's yet - but hey, these are my first attempt!  Take a peek at her fabulous blog - I'm always getting inspiration there!

I had a tiny accident while colouring her face...  I'd cleaned out my skin colour Copics, but I think had slightly overfilled my E11, resulting in a bit of a blob on the top of her face.  I rescued it as best as I could..  but I can still see it..  ah well..  I've now invested in a tiny scale so that I can judge how much to fill - and avoid blobs in future!

I love her bubble hair - and of course, decided that had to be pink - but then went with lilac for her little dress.

It's a Beautiful Day....

 

Hi Lovelies...

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend even if the weather isn't the greatest here in the UK.  We went across to Skipton yesterday to call in at my favourite 'real' stamp shop Samuel Taylors at Embsay- which is closing it's doors this month after trading for about 20 years.  I will miss it so much, as I've been visiting and buying for most of those years!  

Now onto brighter things! Today I'm sharing a 'just for fun' card that I made using a stamped image from the fabulous April Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  I was inspired by Yana Smakula (thank you Yana) who made a card showcasing the kit - but I changed a couple of things to make this one my own.  

I had been playing with my Distress Oxide inks the other day - creating some smooshed backgrounds, and I thought one of those was ideal for the lower half of this card.  I used Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey - dabbing them on a craft mat, then spritzing them with water, before dipping my card.  It works best if you dry your layers before dipping a second and third time.  You can achieve some really fabulous effects by doing this.  I also used a little bit of ric-rac style edging, before adding my butterfly and leaves.

I used 3D foam pads to raise the butterfly and the leaves to give dimension. I so wish I could get the sparkle to show on the butterfly - it's such a shame our photographs lose that magical touch.  Ah well, such is life!

Well it's Bellarific Friday again..  these weeks go round soooooo darn quickly... but of course, I love the fact that I get to create with Stamping Bella images so often!

Today, the stamp of the month image that the lovely Baberoonies are show-casing is the gorgeous Chocolate Bunnies image (couldn't you just eat them up?) which I used for an Easter card.  And good news...  you can get this rubber stamp from Stamping Bella throughout the whole of April for 25% discount!
