Bridal Shower....

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

My youngest daughter made a request earlier this week for a card that she could take to a bridal shower...  and she wanted it to be in milk/chocolate colours (long story!) - sooooo, as we don't really have bridal showers here in the UK - I had to get my thinking cap on and do a bit of research!!

I decided to use an MFT Dienamics Umbrella die that I've used before for a baby shower - and I used lots of small flower punches and dies for the infill on the shape.  I used pearls for the centres of each flower too.  Then I thought it was too bare and needed decorating around the edge - so I set about hand colouring some white flower trim that I found in my stash.  I think I'm happy with the result!  I can't wait to hear what the bride-to-be thinks!

The bridal shower my daughter is going to is in Toronto - so the card is currently winging it's way across the Atlantic in her luggage.  She's stopping off in San Diego first to meet up with another friend for a few days..  so it's going to be a well travelled card!

And my eldest daughter is due back this weekend from her holidays - she and her boyfriend have been cycling from Switzerland to Holland along the Rhine..  then they're getting the ferry back to Yorkshire on Monday.  I think they've done very well as they've camped each night..  I have to say I prefer my transport with four wheels and then I like a proper bed at night!!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting

You didn't miss anything at Harrogate...not much there really but did pick up a few basics, card, tape, ink etc...and got a couple of 12" pads for half price but that was it really!
