Gummiapan Flower Bed

Hi Lovelies...

I've used a tiny little flower die from Gummiapan for my card today - creating a little Spring scene.

I used Distress Oxides for the diecut square background which I splattered with water,. Then  I coloured the diecut flowers and adhered them with a tiny diecut sun and a cloud.

I created the card base with an embossed panel to give texture, matted onto pink card.  A tiny little sentiment finished the card.

Card Info:
Dies - Gummiapan Flower Bed, Lil' Inkers Sun, Memory Box Cloud,
Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Honey Bee Sentiment Strips
Distress Oxides
Sentiment - The Stamp Market Tons of Type
Altenew Linked Ovals Embossing Folder
Copics

I'm sorry that the photos aren't good of this card, it was a grey day so the light was really poor for the photography - so the whites look a little grey!

Happy Crafting!

Waffle Flower Mod Blossom

Hi Peeps...

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I made with a new Waffle Flower Die and Stencil set - it's called Mod Blossom, and is so easy to use!  I diecut the flower panel first of all, then popped it onto my grip mat, with the stencil over top.  No stamp was needed as I just used small brushes on my ink pads to blend colour onto the flowers and leaves.

You can see from this panel that the sentiment is diecut from silver cardstock, with a shadow of white to help it stand out.  I added gems to the centre of the flowers that surrounded the sentiment, so there's lots of sparkle.

Then I did some subtle smooshing onto a panel of Bristol Smooth the size of my card.  I adhered the diecut panel onto this using double sided foam tape under the flowers and around the edge.. Lastly, I diecut a rectangle frame to finish the card.

I did pretty much the same for my pink card, the only difference is that the sentiment is cut from gold mirri instead of the silver.

Card Info:
Dies and Stencils - Waffle Flower Mod Blossom, MFT Rectangle Frame
Inkpads - Simon Says Stamp Blues, Catherine Pooler Pinks, .
Distress Oxide Greens
Gems and Mirri Card

I was really happy with how both of these cards turned out...  hope you like them too!  Which is  your favourite... blue or pink??

Big hugs

Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border

Hi Lovelies...

Well, this heart border has been in my stash, unused, for over a year - even maybe two!  So I decided it's time had come... a little late for Valentine's Day, but what the heck!

I die-cut and coloured it with my Copics, before creating a background for it to sit on.  I cut a stencil from vellum using a rounded banner die, and used Distress Oxides to blend through.  I diecut the panel using my trusty Stitched Rectangle die - then adhered the border over the bottom of the stencilled arch.   I added a sentiment at the bottom of the panel, then decided there needed to be butterflies!  I used a butterfly confetti die that gave me lots of different size butterflies, cutting from pastel shades, then glittering them .  I also added glitter to the flowers in the border.

Lastly, I gave the butterflies each a trail using a fine black pen.

Card Info
Dies - Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border
Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti
MFT Rounded Banner Stax
MFT Stitched Rectangles
Copics G24 R81/83
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Broken China
and Shabby Shutters
Sentiment - LOTV Simply Sophisticated

Hope you like my make today.... it makes me think of Spring and a time when the flowers are growing and the butterflies are dancing in the breeze!  I do wish the butterflies in our garden were as twinkly as those on my card though.... wouldn't that be fab??!

Big hugs...

LOTV Tea Party Mouse

Hi Lovelies

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made with one of the images from the LOTV Tea Party Digital Stamp Set.  This mouse appealed so much to me, I had to colour and fussy cut him - and then again for the second card which I shared below!

I created a card panel for him to sit on by using Distress Oxides through a circular stencil onto a stitched square - then splattering with green and gold watercolours.  I added a tiny sentiment at the top, then adhered the panel to my card base, adding the mouse using foam pads.

Sorry for the three photos - I was trying to get the gold splatters to show!

For my second card, I did exactly the same, but used blue Distress Oxides  instead of green.

Tiny Flowers on trellis

Hi Peeps

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made over the weekend..  using a die from Altenew and some tiny flowers and leaves from various punches and dies.

Firstly, I created a couple of smooshed panels for me to die cut from.   I also had some scraps of smooshings in my 'to use later' box, so used those too.

Then I created the card - using a square stitched die for the panel, adhering this to the card.  I diecut the criss-cross, adhering this to the panel, before placing the flowers and leaves in a random pattern.

Lastly, I stamped a small sentiment in grey, as I felt black would be too strong for the card.  I was happy how it looked.

I created the pink one first, quickly followed by the lilac!

Card Info:
Dies - Altenew Linear Crossroads, Lil' Inkers Stitched Square,
various tiny flowers and leaves dies and punches.
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Fancy That
Distress Oxides to smoosh

I was really thrilled how these cards turned out - hope you like them too!

LOTV Sending Love

Hey Peeps...

I'm sharing another Valentine's card today..  this time using this cute little mouse from the LOTV Sending Love stamp set.

I coloured and fussy cut the mouse, using a dry embossing tool on the back and a soft pad underneath to give it the rounded appearance.  Then I created the background.  I cut a pierced circle from gold mirri, then cut another plain circle, which I embossed with hearts.  After the embossing, I used Distress Oxides to colour, then adhered the circles together and onto my stitched square background, using foam pads to adhere the mouse and balloon.

Lastly, I die cut the 'love' and 'you' words, which I adhered to the circle.

The Greetery Shapely Hearts

Hi Lovelies...

Well, as it's getting close to Valentine's Day, I thought I better get out some hearts!

I've used a die set from The Greetery called Shapely Hearts - and being inspired by a card I spotted on Pinterest, I blended Distress Inks in various reds and pinks onto the die cut hearts.

Then I adhered all the hearts onto my card blank... adding a die cut sentiment - I used the word 'love' from Impression Obsession which I cut from gold mirri card, backing with black as a shadow.  Then I stamped and heat embossed the word 'you' from a set by Whimsy Stamps.

Card Info:
Dies - The Greetery Shapely Hearts, Love word - Impression Obsession,
Stamp - Whimsy Stamps Happy Sentiments

Hope you like my Valentine's card!

Uniko Picked Posies

Hi Lovelies..

I've bee playing with the Uniko Picked Posies stencils again - this time onto a square card.

I stencilled the flowers and leaves with Distress Inks, then splattered gold watercolour paint over the panel... believe me it looks better in real life than any photo can show!  Then I diecut a birthday word from gold mirri card, using white for the shadow to make it stand out.  I added that with foam tape to the centre of the floral panel, then adhered then panel to my card base with fun foam to give depth.

Card Info:
Stencil - Uniko Picked Posies
Word Die - Spellbinders Yana Smakula

Gold Watercolour Paint

Hope you like my floral make today!

Altenew Tangled Loops

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I made using a cover plate die called Tangled Loops from Altenew.

Firstly, I created the background by smooshing lots of Distress Oxides (listed below), also adding gold watercolour paint.  It's very difficult to capture the effect on camera unfortunately.

Then I did the die cutting - adhering the loops to a sheet of acetate.  I also die cut a rectangle frame to give space at the edge of the card to use foam double sided tape, to give depth for the shaker bits to move around.  I used lots of tiny circles that I'd cut from gold mirri card for the shaker, then I adhered the die cut panel to the background.  Lastly, I diecut a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, which I'd cut from mirri card, but had added a white card shadow to make it stand out.

Card Info:
Dies - Altenew Tangled Loops, MFT Rectangle Frame,
Simon Says Stamp Sending Smiles, Tiny Circles (no name)
Distress Oxides - Scattered Straw, Fossilised Amber, Wild Honey,
Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral and Festive Berries
Gold Mirri Card

Hope you like my make today and that it gives you a smile - that's what I'm sending!

Apologies for photography though...

Uniko Picked Posies Stencils

Hi Lovelies..

I thought we may all need a bit of cheering up through January and the cold weather, so I made this card which makes me think of summer!

I used layering stencils from Uniko for the flowers, blending with Distress Inks.  I matted and layered with gold mirri card and coloured card to match the flowers.  I die cut the word 'happy' from the gold, and adhered that, along with a stamped and gold embossed 'birthday' word.  Lastly I added a few gold sequins.

Card Info:
Uniko Picked Posies Stencils
Simply Graphic Happy word die
MFT Birthday word stamp
Gold Mirri card
Gold sequins

I did find the stencils a little tricky to use, as they are a bit thin, so they tend to not want to sit flat on the card, even with tape or gripper mat. I held them down with my finger in the centre while stencilling,  I would think Pixie Spray on the back of the stencil would solve that problem.

Hope I've brightened your day today!

CAS Heart with Butterflies

Hi Lovelies..

Firstly, apologies as I'm a bit slow getting going this year - I'm a little overwhelmed with the goodies I have in my craft room (yes, I admit it!)... I get in there, and don't know what to make!  Does anyone else feel like that?  I see fabulous YouTube videos, and lots of Instagram posts - and my poor brain is saying 'well you can't do it all' - so I end up struggling to make even one thing!

Anyways..  I've made a few CAS cards for today - using a gorgeous little die that I got from Amazon.  Firstly, I die cut the heart from a stitched square die cut panel.  I stamped a small sentiment while the panel was still flat.

I needed an effective background, so did a little smooshing in pinks and purples, with lots of gold too.  I used foam tape to lift the heart square panel away from the background, then adhered the smooshed panel to the foam tape.  I adhered the stitched square panel to my card base then finally added a tiny gem onto the smooshed panel.

For my second card, I used lilacs and purples for the smooshing.

Card Info:
Dies - Heart/Butterfly, Lil' Inkers Stitched Square
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Fancy That
Distress Oxides for smooshing

Hope you like my cards today - quite often creating something CAS can bring back my mojo.. hopefully that'll happen this time!

Masculine Card

Hi Lovelies..

Well we've been without internet for a few days due to an area outage, so I've been a little quiet!  I'm glad to be back now though...  it really shows how much we rely on it when we don't have it...  and ours is TV too!

Anyways.. I've been busy in my craft room.. and today I'm sharing the first of some male cards I've made.

I was inspired by Natalie's video (NB Cards) showing several different styles for men - using lots of scraps!  Well, I have endless scraps and 6 x 6 pads... so out they came.

I diecut several stitched strips in various patterns and colours to start with.  Then I cut some white cardstock, covering with double sided adhesive paper.  I laid the strips on diagonally, with some gold strips interspersed... then adhered that panel to a diecut stitched rectangle.  Lastly, I added a tiny sentiment in the same diagonal angle.

I can't really give many details of what I used - the paper pads are probably 10+ years old, and the strip die is a cheapie one.  The sentiment is from MFT.

I sent this card to my son-in-law and it was well received, so I've made more - always handy to have a male type card in stock!

Valentines Heart

Hi Lovelies..

OK... we're onto Valentine cards now - crikey, no wonder the years go by so quickly!

My card today is very CAS..  I used a lovely little heart die on a stitched rectangle panel - sorry, no name of the die as I bought it a little while back and the packaging is missing.  Behind that I put red glitter card..  then added a red panel so there was an edge of red, before adding everything to my card panel.

I stamped a tiny sentiment and from MFT and added one of the little hearts that came from the glitter card - and it was done!

Here's a close up of the die cut with the glitter card, though it's quite difficult to see!

Hope you like!

Pink Fresh Studio Cheerful Blossoms

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm starting my New Year makes using the gorgeous Stamp/Stencil/Die set from Pink Fresh Studio - this one is called Cheerful Blossoms.

I've created three different cards - two rectangular and one square - using different dies and embossing folders.

For the first, I used an embossing folder from Lisa Horton - it's scripty which I felt looked good behind the sentiment.  I used the stencil to colour the flowers, finishing them with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower and is from a set called Birthday Wishes.

For my second card, I created a smooshed panel which I put behind a lattice cover plate diecut.  The stamp edged die is from Waffle Flower, and I used a rectangle to cut the centre, to show the lattice.  I adhered the sentiment to gold cardstock, trimming around to give the edge.

Lastly, I used a square die from MFT - it's a diagonal stitched one, again I cut the centre out to show the lattice behind.

Hope you like my first cards of 2025... Happy New Year to you all!
