Squidgy Bookworm

Hi Peeps...

Friday again, and after the hectic weekend of sneak peeks at Stamping Bella, the babes are back to our usual happy routine today and here I am with another card for our Bellarific Friday.

We used images from the fabulous new release today and I chose to use this cutie - Squidgy Bookworm is one amongst many of my favourites!

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Squidgy Bookworm, Colouring - Copics - Skin - E000/00/01/11/04, Hair E50/51/53/55, Reds R24/27/46 E57, Yellows - Y38 YR24/27, Greens YG61/63 BG96, Purples V12/15/17, Brown Book - E55/57, Worm E42/43/44, Pages - W1/3/5, Grounding and Shading - T0/1/3/5

The strip at the bottom of this card is actually red to match her hat...  but for some reason it looks very dark on the photo.  Photography skills at fault again I'm afraid...

I just think this would be a perfect card to give to someone with a gift of a book...  the sentiment is perfect.

Happy Weekend all...

Stitched Blooms

Hi Peeps...

I'm back in full colour today and BOY... do I love these colours... and not a Copic in sight!

I created a Distress Oxide background.. splashed with water for effect,  then used the MFT Stitched Basic Edges 2 (though you can barely see that edge)..  but it gave me the shape to lay my flowers.  I used white bazzil below the stitched edge so I could stamp the sentiment.

Card Info:
Die Sets - MFT Stitched Blooms, MFT Stitched Basic Edges 2,  Sentiment - MFT Essential Sentiments, Distress Oxide Inks, coloured card scraps, gems

Lots of die-cutting and sticking later, I came up with this..  It took some time to get the design right... but I'm so pleased with the result!

Anniversary cards

Hi Peeps...

Well who knew how difficult it could be to photograph a white and silver card???  First too dark, then too light.... then lots of playing around with photo-editing software... and still, neither photo are how the finished card looked in real life!

Ah well...  I needed to make a Silver Wedding card for a lovely friend, and also a 1st Anniversary for my lovely daughter - so I did a bit of hunting on Pinterest (as you do) and got the idea to used some punched hearts.  I decided to put them in a frame with some silver mirri card to give it a little pizazz..  and this was the result.

Die used - MFT Stitched Scalloped Square, Heart Punch, Scraps of paper and glitter card.

And this is the one for my daughter and her husband.

I did the names, words and date on the PC before I punched the hearts..  and I used three layers of the hearts (with a tiny bit of foam tape between) for each one you can see to make them stand proud of the card.

I SOOO wish you could have seen them in real life - they were fab though I say so myself!  My friends and my daughter and hubbie loved receiving them and I know they will be treasured.

Hugs

Let's Go Fly a Kite....

Hi....  Yes, it's me... AGAIN!!

OK, who's singing the song that the title reminded you of??

This card is my DT card using an image from the new release at All Dressed Up.  This release was out on 1 June - but part of the Facebook DT use one from it today - so we don't overload you on the 1st!  Well, I know what I mean.... lol!!

This is 'Lets Fly a Kite' - isn't she gorgeous???  and she's flying it soooo well!

I have a little story about kite flying which my lovely man never stops reminding me of whenever we see a kite in the air.  When we lived on the Isle of Wight, we decided one windy summer's day to buy a kite and try it on the beach...  and I was doing soooooo well until (while going backward looking at my kite), I fell over a (large) rock which I hadn't spotted (Specsavers needed?)  I went down 'like a log' (in his words)..  but hell...... I kept my kite up in the air!!  And he did help pick me up and dust me off during his belly laughing at what I'd done, so he's not ALL bad..

Card Info:
Image - All Dressed Up Let's Fly a Kite, Sentiment done on PC, Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Colouring - Copics - Sky - B0000/000/01, Skin - E000/00/11/04 R20, Hair E21/23/25/27, Dress - V01/04/06/15, Kite RV55/Y18, Grass YG03/23/25

Hop over to the All Dressed Up Facebook page to see more from the DT - the images from the June release are fabulous... you must go see them!  And you also still have time to join in the 'As You Like It' challenge for this month.  We do love to see  your All Dressed Up creations.

OK, that's it from me today..  but I'll be back tomorrow!

Big hugs

Now my cards today use three different stamp sets, along with one background stamp...  it's a mixie-matchie type of day!

I sponged the background with Distress Inks and stamped the foilage with green ink.

Have a Fairy Nice Day!

Hi Lovelies...

Yayyy... it's time for me to join in the fun of the wonderful new release at Stamping Bella!!  Have you seen the Oddballs and the new Squidgies so far?????  My shopping list is growing ever longer!

Image may contain: flower and text

But wait till you see the fairies!!!  You know what I'm like for anything fluttery with pretty wings - so I'm in my element colouring up these gorgeous little creatures!

Today I'm using one of the fabulous flower images from the gorgeous Daisy Floral set (it has two gorgeous flowers) - with this cute little fairy clinging on to this flower stem while it sways in the breeze.  The fairies love playing like this, but don't worry, if they fall, they have their little wings to save them before they hit the ground!

I used some Distress Inks and a stencil to form the cloud background, then created a shaker aperture so after I fussy cut the flower image, I could adhere it to the acetate.  I diecut a sun to finish off a garden scene then added a sentiment done on the PC.

Card Info:
Image- Stamping Bella Daisy Floral Stamp set (available next week), Dies - ME Framed Tags, LF Sun, Colouring - Copics - Fairy Hair - C5/7/9, Skin - E000/00/11, Dress RV63/55, Wings RV00/B60, Flower - BG04/13 Y38, Distress Inks Broken China and Tumbled Glass, Sequins and Glitter

If you pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog and leave a comment,  you could be chosen to win some fabulous Bella Bucks... so what's stopping you?  You can also see what the other fabulous Babes have come up with for your inspiration.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to place my order - there's more being added to my list every day!

Thinking of You....

Hi Lovelies...

Yes, it's me.... and don't adjust your monitor,  I'm using yellow!!!

For our Bellarific Friday this time, the Babes were to use an image from the Stamp of the Month collection...  and I chose to use this gorgeous girl called 'Thinkingofyouabella' - which I thought would be perfect for a 'Miss You' type of card.

I did worry a tad about colouring this image, as there's quite a lot of shading in a larger area..  but I put on my big girl pants and with encouragement from Emily Da Bella...  went for it!

And the reason I chose yellow?  Well, my yellow Copics are probably my most juicy markers (I don't often use them!)... so I knew that they would blend well for shading.... and hey..... I'm really chuffed with the result!

Card Info:
Image - Stamping Bella Thinkingofyouabella, Sentiment - Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler, Paper - MFT, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04 R20, Hair - E21/23/25/27, Dress - Y15/17/18/38 YR24, Shading - T0/1/3

Hope you like my make today.  Why don't you pop over to the Stamping Bella Sistahood Facebook page where you can share your Stamping Bella creations with all the Sistahs - and also join in our fun challenge - the theme for June is 'Flora and Fauna' - you could win fabulous Bella Bucks to spend!  Also you can pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog and see what the other fabulous Babes have come up with to inspire!

Happy Crafting...

Lolly and Her Brolly

Hi Lovelies..

Yes, it's that time again......  the weeks roll by so quickly!!  It's Bellarific Friday!!  And the Babes are this time highlighting some of the stamps that are not from the current release.

I chose to use this lovely girlie - Lolly and her Brolly - as she's been very patient waiting to be coloured - so it's her turn in the spotlight!

Card Info:
Stamp and sentiment - Stamping Bella Lolly and her Brolly, Dies - Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border, Lawn Fawn Spring Showers, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04 R20, Hair E23/25/27, Pinks RV55/17/09/00, Yellows - Y15/17/18/38, Greens YG05/23, Browns E25/99, Clouds done with Distress Inks and MFT Cloud Border Stencil, Sequins

I did lots more fussy cutting on this gorgeous girlie..  I must admit I did get a little worried when I was cutting her tiny little neck and her ultra skinny legs.. but I managed it with no unplanned decapitations or amputations!

Have a good weekend, whatever you're up to...

Best Buds... Take Two!

Hi Lovelies...

I'm just dropping by to share another card using the fabulous Paper Smooches Best Buds Clear Stamp Set that I bought recently.  This time I used the larger stamp, along with one of the smaller banner stamps.

I really love colouring this fabulous set..  it's just so easy and has given me a bit of confidence back in my colouring.

Card Info:
Stamp - Paper Smooches Best Buds Clear Stamp Set, Dies - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border, MFT Stitched Arch Stax, Paper - MFT, Colouring - Copics, Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, Sequins.

I fussy cut the image - but I think there's probably a matching die - it's just I LOVE fussy cutting!! LOL!

I'll be back tomorrow with a Bellarific Friday card to share!

Hugs and Happy Crafting...
