Half Circles - Just Because

Hi Lovelies...

I spotted a card last week by @itsacardknocklife and was so inspired, I had to try the design!  She'd done a bit of a tutorial and was happy for others to be inspired - it just shows what we can make with very simple bits of stash and a clever design.

It's done with three different size circles... cut in half.  Then as you can see, they're adhered to each other in the opposite way.  Again, I dug out my older embossing folders and found this one for the background.  Then I adhered the half circles so the middle ones matched each other, with foam tape.

Lastly I added a leaf sprig cut from the same pink I'd used on the card, again with foam tape under the leaves that needed a lift.  A tiny sentiment was the finishing touch,

I'd like to again thank Melinda for the amazing inspiration - I know this is going to be a popular card that I'll be making more of for lots of occasions!  And it uses up lots of patterned paper scraps.  Hope you like it too...

Spellbinders Layered Anemone

Hi Lovelies..

Today my card is made with a lot of my older stash!  After seeing a similar embossing folder used, I dug out this one that I've had for years and years, it's from Stamping Up.  I cut it down to a small square, then added a couple of die cut flowers that I'd coloured and added glitter to.  I added the embossed square to a stitched square, and then matted that with foam tape to my card panel.

Lastly, I added a tiny sentiment from an old Clearly Besotted sentiment set, and it was done.

Digi Darla Blessing from Heaven Baby Boy

Hi Lovelies..

For today's card, I have used an older digi image (I have LOTS on my PC!), to make a new baby card, which my daughter wanted to sent to her sister-in-law.

I've used this image lots before, I love how clean the image is and it makes for a very simple card.  It's from Digi Darla - and has probably been in my stash for 10 years or so!

I printed the image then die cut the square around it, colouring the image then adding glitter to the moon.  Then I created a background with dotty blue card, matted onto a white card base.  I made a tiny sentiment on the PC which I added at the base.

Card Info:
Image - Digi Darla Blessing of Heaven (no longer available)
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair - E31

Sentiment done on PC

Hope you like my card today..

Joe's 40th

Hi Peeps...

Today, my card is a very simple one for my son-in-law's 40th birthday!

I die cut the numbers, adhering them to a die cut square of white.  Then I diecut a larger square for the background, smooshing it with some Distress Oxides...  I was really happy how the colours turned out.

Then I did the matting and layering onto a white, square card base, and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - Numbers - Papertrey Ink
Squares - Li'l Inkers Designs
Distress Oxides - Stormy Sky, Prize Ribbon,
and Faded Jeans
Silver Mirri Card

So very CAS, but I think quite effective for a card for a man - I think he loved it.

Concord & 9th Blissful Blooms

Hi Lovelies...

Firstly, apologies that I've not been posting much lately.  I have actually been making and creating, but seem to struggle to get to actually posting them here or on Instagram!  Goodness knows why...  but I promise to put more online!

Now my card today is inspired by one that Kristina Werner made using her gorgeous Blissful Blooms Stencil Set from Concord and 9th.  I saw the card she'd made with it, and HAD to have a go!  I must admit, it took me a couple of goes to actually get it right..  but I was determined!  I created a 5" x 7" card, and stencilled through using the colours she suggested from C & 9.

The card was for my daughter who reached this milestone birthday in December., so I used gold mirri card to die cut the frame and the numbers to adhere to the background.

Card Info:
Stencils - Concord & 9th Blissful Blooms by Kristina Werner
Dies - Papertrey Ink Numbers, Birthday Wishes,
MFT Stitched Scalloped Frame
Concord & 9th Inkpads - Ballet, Briar Rose, Powder, Harbor,
Creamsicle, Buttercup
Gold Mirri Card

I have to say a big thank you to Kristina for the inspiration - I hope now I've mastered using this stencil set to use it in different ways in the near future...  but I do find it's always better to firstly use what's been used by the designer to 'get it right!'

Big hugs...
