Altenew Blooming Flower Bed Stencils

Hi Lovelies...

Well I've been shopping my stash again, and I've had these gorgeous Altenew Blooming Flower Bed stencils for a while, and have only used them once... so out they came again!

I've made a couple of cards, in different colours and with different sentiments..  believe it or not, the words are in gold, but it's so difficult to photograph!

Card Info:
Stencils - Altenew Blooming Flower Bed Stencils
Catherine Pooler Inks
Dies - Simon Says Stamp

And here's the second colour mix..

Loving this sentiment - it's all you'd ever wish anyone, isn't it?

Sorry about the amount of pics...  I really am just trying to show the colours how I actually see them (especially the gold), and not as my camera THINKS they should be!

Alex Syberia Designs Sweet Friend

Hi Lovelies...

Well it's CAS time for me today.. I love this little Sweet Friend set from Alex Syberia Designs..  but decided that nothing should detract from the little kiss that this pair are sharing!

So all I did, after colouring and fussy cutting, was to give them a strip of greenery to stand on, a couple of die cut hearts above them, and the tiny greeting below the strip.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Alex Syberia Designs Sweet Friend
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle, Tiny heart Die
Smooshed Scrap for strip
Colouring - Copics
Mice - E40/41/42/43 R000
Dress - R81/83 White Gel Pen
Top and shorts - BG02/11 B23

To make the little mice slightly rounder, I used a large embossing ball tool onto the back of the image while it was on firm foam.

Definitely CAS!

Hope you like my little pair...

Lawn Fawn Magic Messages

Hi Lovelies...

For my card today, I have been using some of the spare smooshed backgrounds that are in my folder - diecutting them with flower and wreath dies.  I've made a few cards with different sentiments - this is just one.

Card Info:
Flowers and Wreath Dies - sorry they are older - no name on them
Sentiment - Lawn Fawn Magic Messages
Distress Oxides
Gold Embossing Powder

I'm afraid I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the photography of my cards.. which is why I've not been posting as many.  I wish there was a magic trick to be able to capture the true colours of the card!

Pink Fresh Studio Be Fearless

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a card I made using a stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio - this is the Be Fearless set.  Of course, my favourite roses are pink, so out came my pink pens (again!)

I diecut a fancy oval from white cardstock, then added the sentiment which I embossed in gold.  After that, I adhered the coloured and die cut roses to the oval with foam pads, then added the oval to pink cardstock for my base.  Lastly, I added a few little gold sentiments to bring out the gold in the sentiment.

Die - Spellbinders Floral Oval
Colouring - Copics

LTTS Doodles Spring Bunnies

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a little card I made using one of the gorgeous little bunnies from LTTS Doodles - this is Bunny Flowers from the Spring Bunnies collection.

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then created a small ink blended panel (which I'd splattered with gold) for the bunny to be adhered to, then onto some dotty paper.  I stamped the sentiment, then adhered the mats together onto a card base.

Flower Birthday

Hi Lovelies...

Well, a bit of a change for me today... using lots of die cutting!

I ink blended a panel of card, splattering as usual with gold watercolour.  Then I die cut this gorgeous flower from gold mirri (no name, sorry) - diecutting again from vellum to give the petals.  I also diecut the birthday word, then the elongated oval - adhering them to the card panel.  I cut a panel of gold mirri the size of my card base, then did the putting together!

It's very difficult to get a photograph showing the colours true - the first is more as it is in real life.

Card Info:
Dies - Elegant Flower (sorry no name),
Spellbinders Yana's Scripty Layered Sentiments
Waffle Flower Inside/Out Elongated Oval
Distress Oxides - Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade
Gold Watercolours

Hope you like my card today...

MFT So Much Love

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back with another card using one of these little girlies from MFT.  I really do love their cuteness...  but I promise I'll put them away again for a while after today!

I decided to go for turquoises today - using a smooshed background and some matting and layering.  I fussy cut the girlie that I'd coloured, then created a little cloudy panel with some blended grass, for her to stand on - so she didn't look like she was floating!  I adhered her with foam pads, and the card was done.

Card Info:
Image - MFT So Much Love
Dies - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Stencil - MFT Tiny Cloud Stencil
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters,

Pink MFT Girlies

Hi Lovelies...

It's pink time again for me... (when is it not?!)  So today I'm sharing a couple of cards using older MFT stamps that are sitting in my stash - too nice not to be used again, so out they came!

Both are stamped, coloured and fussy cut.  Then I created backgrounds for them using Distress Oxide blending onto a panel, which is then splattered with gold watercolour paint.. (SO difficult to catch on camera!)

Card Info:
Image - MFT Because You're Special
Paper - from stash
Distress Oxide - Spun Sugar
Gold Watercolour Paint
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11 R20
Hair E21/23
Clothes and Flowers R81/83/85
Pot - E40/42
Gold Glitter Glue

My second card is using another of these cute little girlies... this time the sent is called Love You a Bunch...  I made it very similarly to the one above, even with the same colours.... just different paper for the background.  Ooh and I also drew the little flowers on her dress with a white gel pen and a yellow centre.

So two cards in PINK!

I'm loving creating with my older stash..  I encourage you to have a peek through your own and see what you can enjoy using again..  or sometimes use for the first time!

MFT In Focus Florals Die Set

Hey Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made with an MFT die set called In Focus Florals...  they are CAS cards - so easy to make.

Firstly, I did a bit of Distress Oxide blending through a rectangle die onto die cut card panels.  I used three different greens to graduate the colour, and then I splattered with gold watercolour paint.  Then I adhered the floral die cuts..  adding a tiny sentiment which I'd stamped and heat embossed in white, on black cardstock.  Lastly, I matted the panel onto some dotty green cardstock.

Card Info:
Dies - MFT In Focus Florals Die Set
MFT stitched rectangles
Distress Oxides - Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage
Sentiment - The Stamp Market Tons of Type
Dotty Cardstock
Gold Watercolour Paint

If you scroll on, you'll see the second card I made - just with another of the three dies that are included in the set.

Hope you like my makes today...

Marion Emberson Designs On Your Special Day

Hi Lovelies..

As you know, I'm sorting through my older stash to see what I'd like to use again, in maybe a different way than I've done before.

Today, I've used this gorgeous Marion Emberson Designs stamp set called For Your Special Day.  I stamped it in black onto a Distress Oxide blended background I'd created using a circle stencil - then added some gold watercolour splatter, a tiny die cut butterfly, and a little sentiment.  Finally, I drew a little butterfly trail, then adhered the panel onto pale pink cardstock.

Card Info:

(no longer available)
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Fancy That (again not available)
Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold
Gold Watercolour Paint
MFT Stitched Rectangle Die
Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti Die

Hope you like my make today - I really do love splattering on my cards - especially in gold!

Simon Says Stamp Swing Blossoms

Hi Lovelies...

OK, I'm back again with another card using the Simon Says Stamp Swing Blossoms..  this time I decided to use a background paper to see how it looked.  It's still CAS, but I am happy as I was able to use different colours on the flowers (this time I used Copics) - and I also added a couple of vellum butterflies.

The card info this time is very similar to my previous cards, with the exception of the Copics (RV17/63 G82) - and the butterflies, which are Hero Arts Confetti Butterflies.  The paper is a digital stripe paper from Pink Petticoat.

I know I'm going to use this die a lot in the future - there are so many different ways to use it!

Hope you like...

Simon Says Stamp Swing Blossoms

Hi Lovelies...

For my cards today, I used a new die that I bought from Simon Says Stamp.. it's called Swing Blossoms - and of course, when I saw it, I knew I'd have to buy it!

So, I diecut it from white cardstock, which I then coloured with Copics.  Even though the main die has the flowers on...  there are separate flowers to be coloured and adhered to the main die cut.  I also cut these flowers from gold glitter card, so I could just use the centres in the pink.

I then diecut a stitched, scalloped circle from from MFT in pink card, to lay the blossom diecut onto.  I put plain card behind the frame, which I'd stamped with the sentiment.

I used a swiss dots embossing folder to create the background, then adhered the circle.  Lastly, I layered the dotty background to a pink square panel.  I added some gold flower centres under the sentiment, then a butterfly that I'd diecut in gold mirri card.

Card Info:
Dies - Simon Says Stamp Swing Blossoms, MFT Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame
Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti
Colouring - Copics

Now, I created a second card, using similar colours on the blossom, but using a plain white card panel and base, and a diecut 'hello' word from the Altenew Sweet Sentiments set using glitter card.

I wonder which is your favourite??

Hope you like what I made...

Big hugs

Leaf Branch Rainbow Colours

Hi There...

Today I'm sharing three cards I made with a similar design...  using a tiny branch/leaf die that I cut from card that I'd shaded with Distress Oxides and splattered with water and gold watercolour paint.

They were relatively easy to make after the DO blending and diecutting...  I laid the diecut branches to one side, then cut a stitched rectangle card base, and another stitched rectangle that I used border dies about a third of the way along.  I added thin foam tape under the smaller panel, adhering the branches/leaves to the back, so that they showed under the diecut edge.  Following so far???

I adhered the small panel to the larger card panel, making sure the edges matched.  Then I added a small sentiment that I'd created on the PC, with the thin foam tape... and a few gems to finish.  Finally I adhered the panel to my card base.

Card Info:
Dies - Leaf/Branch - no name, sorry; MFT Stitched Rectangle Dies,
Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders, MFT Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges 2
MFT Skinny Strips (for sentiment)
Sentiment own - made on PC
Distress Oxides - Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw,
Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet
Gems
Gold Watercolour Paint

Scroll down for different versions!

For this one, I put an extra scalloped border on the right hand side - mainly because I spilled a drop of glue, so had to cover it up! See? We can generally make things right after a mess!

And lastly - one with a different border die - I just didn't think it was a large enough pattern for the card.

I'm sorry about the photographs - both the amount, and the standard!  It's been raining here today, so we've had no brightness to get good pics!

Anyways.... thanks for sticking to the end... hope you like my cards, which I promise look better in real life!

Big hugs
