AALL & Create Petal Pottery

Hi Lovelies..

I spotted a card last week using some dies that I didn't own... well, I had to put that right, didn't I??  So the postie managed to bring me the AALL & Create Petal Pottery dies - a set of three, two of which I've used here!

For my first, I used the Ruffles for Rectangles Die (which I love!), and behind that I added a stripey embossed panel.  I diecut the image, firstly on matt rose gold card, then twice with white cardstock - adhering them together to give depth to the diecut.  I adhered the diecut to the embossed panel in the aperture.  I'd added a tiny sentiment (which I'd embossed with gold but it looks black on the photo) - and it was done.

Card Info:
Dies - AALL & Create Petal Pottery, Catherine Pooler Ruffles for Rectangles
MFT Stitched Rectangles
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted
Stripe Embossing Folder

Now for my second card - I  used another of the dies in the same way to give depth.  This time though, I used my old crimper tool for the background... mounting that onto a rose gold card rectangle.  I adhered the vase/flower, then finally added an older sentiment (from Pink Petticoat a LONG time ago) - that I'd printed loads of years back.  I backed the sentiment again with the rose gold, so it would stand out.

Card Info:
Die - AALL & Create Petal Pottery
Corrugator/Crimper Tool
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat (no longer available)

My cards are relatively CAS - but I think with the touches of gold, they look elegant and I love how they turned out.  Hope you like them as much too!

Uniko Picked Posies Fussy Cut

Hi Peeps...

For my card today, I've used the Uniko Picked Posies Stencils again, this time fussy cut after stencilling.  I was inspired by a card that Bev of Uniko made, and decided to give it a go - thanks Bev for the inspiration.

I used Distress Oxides to stencil, then spent a while cutting out the images.  I layered them on my card base to find the best way of putting them together, then adhered them with foam pads.

I added an MFT sentiment at the top, embossed with gold embossing powder, and also popped a touch of gold Stickles on the flower centres.

Card Info:
Stencils - Uniko Picked Posies
Distress Oxides
Sentiment - MFT Birdie Brown Greetings Galore
Gold Stickles

I'm  having lots of trouble lately with my photography... there either seems to be too much light, or not enough!  My cards never look the actual colour that they are - and the whites always seem to have a blue tint - especially if it's a sunny, clear day.  Hmm - maybe I need to enrol in a photography school!

Big hugs...

LOTV Unicorns

Hi Lovelies...

For my cards today, I've used a set from LOTV called Unicorns and Dragons... of course, Unicorns are my among my favourite of all images, so I was very happy colouring and fussy cutting these little guys!

For my first, I added a die cut circle of stars - cut from glitter card - to my card base, then matted and layered with some lilac card to give a frame.  I adhered the Unicorn with foam pads.

For second card, I've done very similar, but added the word 'sparkle' - cut with a die from Hello Bluebird stamps.

Hey Peeps..

I've used the gorgeous Pink and Main My Little Love Bug set again for my card today, as I loved the set so much.

I coloured and fussy cut the images, then laid them to one side while I created a stencilled background using a cloud edge stencil onto a diecut square.  I stamped the sentiment using two of the stamps from the set.

I added glitter to the bugs' wings and the centre of the  flowers to give some sparkle.... then adhered the images onto the clouds.

Pink & Main My Little Love Bug

Hi Peeps...

I've been playing with a new stamp set I bought a couple of weeks back... in fact I was waiting (impatiently!) for it's release as I'd seen cards by the Design Team and knew I wanted to use it!

It's from Pink & Main and is called My Little Love Bug - and it's totally adorable!  I've made a couple of cards, but am only sharing the first one today.

I coloured and fussy cut the images, then used an aperture die to create a shaker card with lots of sequins and glitter.. adhering the images into place over the aperture.  I'd smooshed the back panel with pink Distress Oxides to give texture. There wasn't room for a sentiment so I decided not to try to squeeze one in.. but to leave it blank.

Card Info:
Images - Pink & Main My Little Love Bug
Dies - Catherine Pooler Ruffles for Rectangles, MFT Stitched Rectangles
Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo
Colouring - Copics
Pinks - R81/83 Greens - G21/24
Wings - BV31/B000
Bug - E01/00/11/04 T0/1 BV17

I really enjoyed the making of this card - you know that feeling when something you've designed turns out just how you wanted it?? THAT feeling!

Gummiapan Flower Bed

Hi Lovelies...

I've used a tiny little flower die from Gummiapan for my card today - creating a little Spring scene.

I used Distress Oxides for the diecut square background which I splattered with water,. Then  I coloured the diecut flowers and adhered them with a tiny diecut sun and a cloud.

I created the card base with an embossed panel to give texture, matted onto pink card.  A tiny little sentiment finished the card.

Card Info:
Dies - Gummiapan Flower Bed, Lil' Inkers Sun, Memory Box Cloud,
Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Honey Bee Sentiment Strips
Distress Oxides
Sentiment - The Stamp Market Tons of Type
Altenew Linked Ovals Embossing Folder
Copics

I'm sorry that the photos aren't good of this card, it was a grey day so the light was really poor for the photography - so the whites look a little grey!

Happy Crafting!

Waffle Flower Mod Blossom

Hi Peeps...

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I made with a new Waffle Flower Die and Stencil set - it's called Mod Blossom, and is so easy to use!  I diecut the flower panel first of all, then popped it onto my grip mat, with the stencil over top.  No stamp was needed as I just used small brushes on my ink pads to blend colour onto the flowers and leaves.

You can see from this panel that the sentiment is diecut from silver cardstock, with a shadow of white to help it stand out.  I added gems to the centre of the flowers that surrounded the sentiment, so there's lots of sparkle.

Then I did some subtle smooshing onto a panel of Bristol Smooth the size of my card.  I adhered the diecut panel onto this using double sided foam tape under the flowers and around the edge.. Lastly, I diecut a rectangle frame to finish the card.

I did pretty much the same for my pink card, the only difference is that the sentiment is cut from gold mirri instead of the silver.

Card Info:
Dies and Stencils - Waffle Flower Mod Blossom, MFT Rectangle Frame
Inkpads - Simon Says Stamp Blues, Catherine Pooler Pinks, .
Distress Oxide Greens
Gems and Mirri Card

I was really happy with how both of these cards turned out...  hope you like them too!  Which is  your favourite... blue or pink??

Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border

Hi Lovelies...

Well, this heart border has been in my stash, unused, for over a year - even maybe two!  So I decided it's time had come... a little late for Valentine's Day, but what the heck!

I die-cut and coloured it with my Copics, before creating a background for it to sit on.  I cut a stencil from vellum using a rounded banner die, and used Distress Oxides to blend through.  I diecut the panel using my trusty Stitched Rectangle die - then adhered the border over the bottom of the stencilled arch.   I added a sentiment at the bottom of the panel, then decided there needed to be butterflies!  I used a butterfly confetti die that gave me lots of different size butterflies, cutting from pastel shades, then glittering them .  I also added glitter to the flowers in the border.

Lastly, I gave the butterflies each a trail using a fine black pen.

Card Info
Dies - Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border
Hero Arts Butterfly Confetti
MFT Rounded Banner Stax
MFT Stitched Rectangles
Copics G24 R81/83
Distress Oxides - Tumbled Glass, Broken China
and Shabby Shutters
Sentiment - LOTV Simply Sophisticated

Hope you like my make today.... it makes me think of Spring and a time when the flowers are growing and the butterflies are dancing in the breeze!  I do wish the butterflies in our garden were as twinkly as those on my card though.... wouldn't that be fab??!

Big hugs...

LOTV Tea Party Mouse

Hi Lovelies

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made with one of the images from the LOTV Tea Party Digital Stamp Set.  This mouse appealed so much to me, I had to colour and fussy cut him - and then again for the second card which I shared below!

I created a card panel for him to sit on by using Distress Oxides through a circular stencil onto a stitched square - then splattering with green and gold watercolours.  I added a tiny sentiment at the top, then adhered the panel to my card base, adding the mouse using foam pads.

Sorry for the three photos - I was trying to get the gold splatters to show!

For my second card, I did exactly the same, but used blue Distress Oxides  instead of green.

Card Info:
Image - LOTV Tea Party Digital Stamp Set
Sentiment - LOTV Simply Sophisticated
(mine is a clear stamp set, but it's available as a digi now)
Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Square
Stencil - Taylored Expressions Circle
Distress Oxides
Watercolour Paints
Colouring - Copics
Mouse - T0/1/2/3 R20/000

Hope you like these cuties!

Tiny Flowers on trellis

Hi Peeps

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made over the weekend..  using a die from Altenew and some tiny flowers and leaves from various punches and dies.

Firstly, I created a couple of smooshed panels for me to die cut from.   I also had some scraps of smooshings in my 'to use later' box, so used those too.

Then I created the card - using a square stitched die for the panel, adhering this to the card.  I diecut the criss-cross, adhering this to the panel, before placing the flowers and leaves in a random pattern.

Lastly, I stamped a small sentiment in grey, as I felt black would be too strong for the card.  I was happy how it looked.

I created the pink one first, quickly followed by the lilac!

Card Info:
Dies - Altenew Linear Crossroads, Lil' Inkers Stitched Square,
various tiny flowers and leaves dies and punches.
Sentiment - Clearly Besotted Fancy That
Distress Oxides to smoosh

I was really thrilled how these cards turned out - hope you like them too!

LOTV Sending Love

Hey Peeps...

I'm sharing another Valentine's card today..  this time using this cute little mouse from the LOTV Sending Love stamp set.

I coloured and fussy cut the mouse, using a dry embossing tool on the back and a soft pad underneath to give it the rounded appearance.  Then I created the background.  I cut a pierced circle from gold mirri, then cut another plain circle, which I embossed with hearts.  After the embossing, I used Distress Oxides to colour, then adhered the circles together and onto my stitched square background, using foam pads to adhere the mouse and balloon.

Lastly, I die cut the 'love' and 'you' words, which I adhered to the circle.

Card Info:
Image - LOTV Sending Love Stamp Set

The Greetery Shapely Hearts

Hi Lovelies...

Well, as it's getting close to Valentine's Day, I thought I better get out some hearts!

I've used a die set from The Greetery called Shapely Hearts - and being inspired by a card I spotted on Pinterest, I blended Distress Inks in various reds and pinks onto the die cut hearts.

Then I adhered all the hearts onto my card blank... adding a die cut sentiment - I used the word 'love' from Impression Obsession which I cut from gold mirri card, backing with black as a shadow.  Then I stamped and heat embossed the word 'you' from a set by Whimsy Stamps.

Card Info:
Dies - The Greetery Shapely Hearts, Love word - Impression Obsession,
Stamp - Whimsy Stamps Happy Sentiments
Distress Inks

Hope you like my Valentine's card!
