Now, on a side note - is anyone else missing how blogland used to work with lots of nice meaningful comments? I'm not sure things are better now Instagram and Facebook have taken over... it's all too easy to quickly press 'like' when it's actually only done for speed and ease rather than actually reading and appreciating.. I know, because I do it myself on occasion when I haven't got a lot of time! I still try to read people's blog posts - it used to be a way to catch up on lives rather than just creations, and I miss that. I'm thinking of starting up a campaign to get blogland back to what it used to be... a place to make crafty friends!
Let me know what you think...
Big hugs

Awe she is so sweet Christine! Love the pretty pastel color palette. You did a great job coloring the darling image!
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeek this is so so utterly gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! The colours are so delish!! Totally agree about Blogs v FB. Unfortunately it seems social media is a necessary evil for most crafters these days. A real shame I think xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card Christine! I will have to go see the new stamps! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteI will say things have changed A LOT! I miss the good ole days too! I know what you mean.
Hugs, Dena
This is such a pretty card Christine, I love the sweet stamp and those papers are one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteBlogging has changed so much, it doesn't seem to be as popular as it once was.
I'm going to Harrogate on Friday, just for a couple of hours as I have to be home for 2.30! If you decide to go, give me a shout we could meet up for a cuppa?

Fabulous card such a great new stamp and fab colouring. I'm with you on the Blogland thing more and more people seem to prefer Facebook I think it much easier to click like but I certainly don't get the comments I used to its such a shame. I much prefer Blogland and have resisted putting my cards on my facebook page unless I have to but I think I'm losing the battle.Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteSAhe is just ADORABLE and in my most favorite colours Mauve and Aqua! Crystal Effects is the same as Glossy Accents hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteAnother cutie here Christine, yes I know what you mean about facebook versus blogs. I tend to use both, and yes a 'like' rather than a comment if I am pushed for time sadly! ;) hugs Viv xx
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike it seems, I'd actually missed this post because I'd seen this make on FB ....I think. Tbh I sometimes get confused with what I've commented on and where, there's so many places I see people's work now. I do actually prefer Instagram over FB, as I when I find something I like I can follow the person and see all their makes in a giant contact sheet, which is lovely. But it's really much more of a visual thing, if I want to know more about how something was made or them, I'll visit their blog or YouTube. I think that Blogs and YouTube really let a person's personality shine through. For example I love Laura Bassen's cards and I could just get a quick fix through her Instagram, but I watch her videos because she really makes me laugh. FB and Instagram seem pretty impersonal and I really hate all the spamming in various groups. I get hit with so much it's like overload, I feel overwhelmed and then I'm sure I miss stuff by others. On the blog note, I really don't like the way they changed the feed, I miss so much now because it's not in my face everyday xx
ReplyDeleteUtterly enchanting Christine! I love this sweet stamp and the colour combo is delish! Beautiful CAS design too, that bow is lush. Hugs, Wends xoxo
