The Greeting Farm Fairy Freebie!

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a gorgeous fairy image that was free in the newsletter to celebrate The Greeting Farm's 10th birthday recently...  I'm not sure of her name - so I'm calling her Fairy Freebie!

Of course, being a fairy of some repute, she demanded PINK and lots of it!  So I gave her a pink hair-do and lots of sparkle/glitter - and she seems happy, don't you think?

Hope you like my fairy make today... I love creating with The Greeting Farm images - they are so crisp and clear to colour - and I love their size too.

Blanche the Butterfly

Hi Peeps...

I'm back with another Bellarific Friday make for Stamping Bella..  and today we're using 'Vintage' - that is, any image other than from the newest release.

I chose to use one of the gorgeous Tiny Tiny Butterfly Girls... this is Blanche.... isn't she gorgeous??  I also went with a shaker make, but using the DP behind the shaker element - just with the frame, which I always think is effective.

Card Info:
Image - Stamping Bella Blanche the Butterfly (Cut-It-Out Die also available), Die - Your Next Stamp Stitched Scalloped Rectangle, Paper - Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04, Hair C5/7/9, Wings RV17/14/13/11, Dress BG15/14/11, Sequins, Sentiment done on PC,

Hope you like my make today and that you'll pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see what the other lovely Sistahs have come up with to inspire.  You can also visit the Facebook page to share your makes, and maybe join in the fun challenge where you can win Bella Bucks to spend at the store!

Bonnie Loves Bows...

Hi Peeps...

It's Bellarific Friday time and today the Sistahs were asked to create using this month's Stamp of the Month...  this is Tiny Townie Bonnie Loves Bows.... isn't she gorgeous??  She has a matching cut-it-out die too if you prefer both, and you can get her and the die this month for 25% less than the usual price!!  Bargain!

I coloured her up before cutting her out...  and decided to use kraft card for a CAS background.  I used the sentiment that comes with the image and finished with a few sequins and a small flag.  Then I added lots of glitter to her petticoat before adhering her to the card.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Bonnie Loves Bows, Die - Lil'Inkers Stitched Rectangle, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04 R20, Hair - C5/7/9, Dress - RV52/63/55, Tights - RV66, Reds - R24/27/46 E57, Sequins

Hope you'll pop by the Stamping Bella Blog later today to see what the Sistahs have come up with to inspire... and that you'll also head over to the Stamping Bella Facebook page so you can share your makes, and maybe join in this month's challenge - you could win Bella Bucks if you do!

Hi Peeps...

We're into a wonderful new month and as it's the 1st, it's time for All Dressed Up's new challenge.  This time the theme is...

Not so difficult huh???

Out came my pinks (of course), and I used Top Knot for my card - she's so lovely to colour.

Mwah!!!

Hi Peeps..

Another Bellarific Friday has come round so quickly...  so I'm here to share my make using an image from the latest release!

I absolutely LOVE the new little Squidgy Pals (they come in a set of four!), but I chose to use just one for my card today..  choosing this little girlie who is pursing her lips a little - maybe for a kiss?  I used one of the fabulous new word dies alongside her..  trying to create an 'ombre' look on the word.

Card Info:
Image - Stamping Bella Squidgy Pals (there are four in the set!), Dies - Stamping Bella Mwah Word Die (comes in three different sizes in the set), Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle, Paper - Sunny Studio Designs, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04 R20, Hair YR14/18 E08/18, Dress V04/06/09, Bow RV55/66, Greens YG21/23/25/17, Shading W00/0/1/3/5, Word V06/09 ombre graduated, White gel pen for flowers on dress and dots around collar and on bow, Enamel Dots

These word dies come in sets of three different sizes in each pack which make them perfect for any sort of project.. large or small! They are the first dies I've ever seen like this - and I can't tell you how useful that makes them.

Don't forget to pop over to the blog today to see the the other Bella Babes have come up with, and also to our Facebook page where you can share your makes, and also enter the challenge where you could win fabulous Bella Bucks to spend!

Hope you have a good weekend... I'll be having more cuddles from my tiny new little grand-daughter tomorrow..  can't wait!

Mermaid Rocks!

Hi Lovelies...

Hope you're having a good weekend..  I've got to say I'm glad the weather has cooled down slightly here in the UK..  I know we shouldn't complain, but I was getting a little TOO hot! LOL

Today it's my turn to share some inspiration using one of the fabulous All Dressed Up July release images...  this is Mermaid Rock.

I loved creating the background with distress inks - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Evergreen Bough, and Salty Ocean (believe it or not, I didn't have Mermaid Lagoon - I'll have to rectify that quickly!!)  I blended them together on some watercolour paper before splashing with water to create the sea-like texture.  Then I diecut the MFT Horizontal Snowdrifts Die three times and adhered them together to give depth, before adhering them to the background.

Card Info:
Image - All Dressed Up Mermaid Rock, Die - MFT Horizontal Snowdrifts, Distress Inked background (colours above), Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04, Hair E23/25/27, Top and Tail - BG11/13, V12/15, Rock T1/2/3/5, Glitter, Sequins and Gems

Believe it or not, my nasty E25 Copic blobbed on her neck... spreading as wide as it could... and this was after I'd coloured her tail and skin! Grrrr!  But a lot of working at it with my colourless blender managed to save the day - thank goodness!

Happy Crafting..

A Little Cuddle Under the Umbrella.....

Hi there...

It's Bellarific Friday time over at Stamping Bella... and the the lovely babes were to use a 'vintage' image - ie, one not from the current release.  I chose to use this gorgeous pair under their brolly having a little cuddle!

I stamped the image twice so I could colour the umbrella a second time.  I then fussy cut the brolly and gave it some shape with an embossing ball, before adhering it to the original image.  I always feel that adding something in 3D gives a card added depth.  Hope the photos below allow you to see what I mean.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Emily and Ryan Under the Umbrella, Die (hearts) - Mama Elephant Confetti, Paper - MFT, Colouring - Copics - Skin E00/11/04, Umbrella RV52/63/55/66, Dress V12/15/17 RV63/55, Flowers RV55 RV91/93, Suit and Shoes - T0/1/2/3/5/7/9,  Shading B0000/000/01, Grass - G14 YG17/23/25

Be a Unicorn!

Hi Lovelies...

I did a bit of fun colouring yesterday...  these gorgeous little Unicorns have been sitting in my 'to use' pile for a little while, so out they came and out came my pink Copics too!

The stamp set is by The Greeting Farm and is called Be a Unicorn..  you get all four of these cuties, plus lots of sentiments and extras.

I decided to create a sentiment on the PC and use my trusty Stampin' Up sentiment punch.

I used some Picked Raspberry Distress ink sponged onto the card to give a little background to the unicorn...

This post is picture heavy...  so I'll leave you to it and hope you like what you see and that you'll say hi..

Squidgy Bookworm

Hi Peeps...

Friday again, and after the hectic weekend of sneak peeks at Stamping Bella, the babes are back to our usual happy routine today and here I am with another card for our Bellarific Friday.

We used images from the fabulous new release today and I chose to use this cutie - Squidgy Bookworm is one amongst many of my favourites!

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Squidgy Bookworm, Colouring - Copics - Skin - E000/00/01/11/04, Hair E50/51/53/55, Reds R24/27/46 E57, Yellows - Y38 YR24/27, Greens YG61/63 BG96, Purples V12/15/17, Brown Book - E55/57, Worm E42/43/44, Pages - W1/3/5, Grounding and Shading - T0/1/3/5

The strip at the bottom of this card is actually red to match her hat...  but for some reason it looks very dark on the photo.  Photography skills at fault again I'm afraid...

I just think this would be a perfect card to give to someone with a gift of a book...  the sentiment is perfect.

Happy Weekend all...

Stitched Blooms

Hi Peeps...

I'm back in full colour today and BOY... do I love these colours... and not a Copic in sight!

I created a Distress Oxide background.. splashed with water for effect,  then used the MFT Stitched Basic Edges 2 (though you can barely see that edge)..  but it gave me the shape to lay my flowers.  I used white bazzil below the stitched edge so I could stamp the sentiment.

Card Info:
Die Sets - MFT Stitched Blooms, MFT Stitched Basic Edges 2,  Sentiment - MFT Essential Sentiments, Distress Oxide Inks, coloured card scraps, gems

Lots of die-cutting and sticking later, I came up with this..  It took some time to get the design right... but I'm so pleased with the result!

Happy Crafting...

Anniversary cards

Hi Peeps...

Well who knew how difficult it could be to photograph a white and silver card???  First too dark, then too light.... then lots of playing around with photo-editing software... and still, neither photo are how the finished card looked in real life!

Ah well...  I needed to make a Silver Wedding card for a lovely friend, and also a 1st Anniversary for my lovely daughter - so I did a bit of hunting on Pinterest (as you do) and got the idea to used some punched hearts.  I decided to put them in a frame with some silver mirri card to give it a little pizazz..  and this was the result.

Die used - MFT Stitched Scalloped Square, Heart Punch, Scraps of paper and glitter card.

And this is the one for my daughter and her husband.

I did the names, words and date on the PC before I punched the hearts..  and I used three layers of the hearts (with a tiny bit of foam tape between) for each one you can see to make them stand proud of the card.

I SOOO wish you could have seen them in real life - they were fab though I say so myself!  My friends and my daughter and hubbie loved receiving them and I know they will be treasured.

Hugs
