Babette the Butterfly...

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back again with another Bellarific Friday make..  the Babes are using one of the stamps from the latest release... so I chose to use Tiny Townie Butterfly Girl  Babette!!

Now I was inspired to use some Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders which have been sitting unused and unloved in the back of a drawer since I bought them a couple of years back!  I think when I got them home at that time and opened one of the lids, I got covered in mica colour powder soooo decided they were way too messy for my little world!  Anyways, lovely Jenny and I were speaking about them as she'd bought some mica powders and is creating beautiful things with them, so I decided to give them a second chance!  And WOW!!!  After watching a YouTube tutorial too, I was ready to go..... then quite thrilled with the result!  I've tried to capture the effect on these photos, but struggled to capture the vibrancy and texture.

Card Info:
Stamp - Stamping Bella Butterfly Girl BabetteDies - Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle, MFT Scalloped Circle Frames,  Colouring - Copics for Hair and Skin - E000/00/11/04 and E23/27/29, Blues B26/29, Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders Midnight Blue and Aqua Lagoon, Prismacolour Pencils for edging of wings, Gems, Sequins

Now.... here's the fingers afterwards!

So a word of warning - use polythene gloves when playing!! hehe!  It took till the next day before I managed to scrub it all off.  Imagine - I had to go to the gym (yes I go!) with hands THAT colour!

Hope you like my make - and that you'll pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog today to see what the other lovely Babes have come up with..  and then why don't you join in the fab Anything Goes challenge on our Facebook Page...  as long as you use a Stamping Bella image, you'll be in with a chance of winning some fabbie Bella Bucks!

Have a great holiday weekend all...

Big hugs

Butterfly Girl...

Hi Lovelies...

Today it's the turn of All Dressed Up for my DT card - showcasing one of the new release images for May.  This is Butterfly Girl...  she's wandering amongst a flurry of butterflies... and one is just about to land on her hand...

Card Info:
Image - All Dressed Up Butterfly Girl Digi Image, Dies - Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Simon Says Stamp Flickering Butterflies, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/00/11/04, Hair E25/27/29, Dress RV09/19, Shading B0000/000/01, Grounding T0/1

I wanted to match the deep pink of her dress with the butterflies, so put some deep pink bazzil card on the base - and used 3D foam tape to raise the front of the card to give depth.

There were four fabulous images in the May release - you can check them out HERE over on the All Dressed Up Blog.

Hope you'll pop over to our Facebook Page to check what the other lovely Design Team ladies have come up with to inspire.

Big hugs

Now it's the turn of our Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella - using a stamp from our Stamp of the Month collection - this time it's Squidgies - so I had lots of my favourites to choose from.  I decided to go with this lovely little Daisy Squidgy -she looks sooo proper standing there with her mahoosive flower ready to present it to someone..  Butter wouldn't melt looking at that face!!

Hi Lovelies...

For my first post today (yes I have two so don't forget to come back!) - I'm sharing my DT card for the CC Designs May release...  using these fabulous Ninjas!

They come in a clear stamp set - and include also a pagoda and lantern, along with lots of fab sentiments too.

I loved colouring them, as I could be as wacky as I liked with my Copics - bringing them to life with their high kicks!  I decided to do the POW! using an older CC Designs set of Alphabet dies... just right I thought for their actions!  I used a sunray stencil for the background, with a diecut sun and some stars to finish.

Card Info:
CC Designs Ninjas Clear Stamp Set, CC Designs Ninjas Outline Dies, CC Designs Large Alphabet (now retired), MFT Sunray Stencil, Colouring - Copics - Skin - E00/11, Reds - R27/46 E57, Blues - BG53/57, Yellows Y15/17/38, Purples V20/22/25/17/09

Hope you like my Ninja make!

Claudia has a Candy!

Hi Lovelies...

It's Bellarific Friday time again - and this week, us Babes are using stamps that aren't from the current release.

I chose to use Claudia here.... who is holding on to the biggest bit of candy I ever saw!!  Of course, she had to be in PINK...  but I used a combo that I've not used before and has always looked a bit scary for me as it's so bright...  however, I decided to go for it!

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Claudia has a Candy Rubber Stamp, Die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames, Paper - MFT Sweet Celebrations, Colouring - Copics - Hair E25/27/29, Skin E0000/000/00/11/04 R20, Dress RV02/04/06/09/69, Candy RV55/63/66, Glitter, Sequins and Gems

I put Glossy Accents over the candy - and sprinkled glitter while it was still wet to make it sparkle.

I Love Sunny Days....

Hi Lovelies....

I'm back today with a DT card for our All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge - our theme is...

I decided to embellish with a bow and some sparklies... and also added a diecut 'hello'.

Weirdly, knowing I HAD to embellish my card, made me think more about what I would add, till I got in a stew and just threw the bits I had closest!  I think my mojo is sunning itself somewhere warm as it's deserted me just lately... but hope you like what I eventually did.

Card Info:

I think this image is a timely reminder to our weather, which has given us a lack of sunny days lately...  hope summer hurries up!

You can join in the challenge over at our Facebook Page here - hope you'll have a go!

Something to make you smile....

Hi Lovelies...

Here I am with my Bellarific Friday card for Stamping Bella... this time we're using stamps from the newest release.

One of my favourites from that release (I have many - d'oh) is Garden Girl Violet - I just love her pretty dress and the way she's posing for the camera..   So I chose to colour her and pop her onto a shaker card to make the recipient smile - as the word says!  I'm enjoying purple/violet colours just lately so the only pink on this little lady is on her cheeks... lol!

Card Info:
Image - Stamping Bella Tiny Townies Garden Girl Violet, Dies - MFT Smile word die, Paper - Echo Park Perfect Princess, Colouring - Copics - Skin E0000/000/00/11/04 R20, Hair E41/42/43/44, Dress V01/09/12/15/17/20/22/25

I fussy cut Violet - but you can get her matching cut-it-out die which makes life so much easier.

Up, Up and Away!!!

Hi Lovelies....

How're you all doing?  If you're in the UK like me, I hope you've been able to enjoy the sunshine and warmth we've been having this week...  seems we've skipped Spring and gone straight to Summer!

And talking of summer...  I love seeing hot air balloons in the sky..  so this image is perfect for me for this week.  It's for our Bellarific Friday - and we have used another stamp from the Stamp of the Month section - mine is Ramona and Teddy in a Balloon..

I went for another shaker card and used Distress Inks for my cloud background.. before adding the acetate and frame - complete with lots of lovely sequins of course.   After colouring the balloon, I adhered it with 3D foam pads to the acetate.  My lovely man provided the clever sentiment - which I thought was very apt for this image!

Card Info:
Stamp - Stamping Bella Ramona and Teddy in a Balloon, Sentiment - done on PC, Die - Your Next Stamp Scalloped Rectangle, Colouring - Copics - Balloon - R43/35/46, YG23/25/01/03, Y15/17, Basket E30/31/33/55, Bear E55/57, Girl's cape - E99, Distress Ink Broken China, Sequins

Hope you like my make - I'm not sure with my fear of heights I could actually try a ride on one of those balloons, but I can always dream!

Pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more Bella Babes inspiration - and don't forget you can join in the current 'Make it Sparkle' challenge at the Facebook Page.

Have a lovely weekend - I'm popping into Brighouse tomorrow to spend some pennies with Tracy at Dies to Die For at the pop up shop, and to say hi to Faye and friends.

Big hugs

Cheeky Little Darling...

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back firmly in my pink zone today - with this 'just-for-fun' card using a gorgeous digital image from The Greeting Farm.

As soon as I saw this little lady appear, I knew I had to colour her pink..  and here she is.  I've also been inspired by the lovely Jenny D to try to add little daisies to her dress..  I started off with polka dots, then with a smaller white pen, added the petals, finishing with a dot of colour on the centre of the original polka dot.  They're not as good as Jenny's yet - but hey, these are my first attempt!  Take a peek at her fabulous blog - I'm always getting inspiration there!

Card Info:
Image - The Greeting Farm Cheeky Darling Digital Stamp, Dies - MFT Stitched Scalloped Circle Frame, MFT Flower Trio, Memory Box Fabulous Flox (for the leaves), Colouring - Hair - E31/33/35/57, Skin - E0000/000/00/11/04 R20, Dress - RV14/13/11/10, White Gel Pen, Doodlebug Design Sprinkles

I had a tiny accident while colouring her face...  I'd cleaned out my skin colour Copics, but I think had slightly overfilled my E11, resulting in a bit of a blob on the top of her face.  I rescued it as best as I could..  but I can still see it..  ah well..  I've now invested in a tiny scale so that I can judge how much to fill - and avoid blobs in future!

Card Info:
