I'm Late... I'm late...

Hi Ladies....

Well here I am with a Christmas card.... a little late, I know!!  But this little guy was sitting all coloured up on my desk.... and I just COULDN'T put him away to wait till next year.... could I???  I mean... really.... could I???  He was looking so forlorn that he'd missed the celebrations..   so this morning I found my way to my desk  (no mean feat with all the stuff that had been piled in my craft room 'out of the way') to put a card around him so he can sit on my mantelpiece till twelfth night... Hope you like!

Don't you just love his shiny red nose and holly berries?  Just a little bit of Glossy Accents brings them to life!

A new Sugar Bowl Challenge..

Hi Ladies....

A very quick post from me today to let you know there's a brand new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl..  The theme as always is Anything Goes (as long as you use a Sugar Nellie image).

If you think this is familiar, it is very similar to a card I made a little while back... but it was spotted by someone who wanted similar for their bedroom wall.  Sooooo I made this...  the frame is from Ikea... and it'll do nicely for her Christmas gift!

I so love this image.... it's The Story Teller from Funky Kits - she has been one of my all time favourite fairies and I've used her over and over.  I'm surprised I was able to get a good photograph of this, as there is glass in the frame..  so clever me.. no reflection!!

The challenge runs for a month so you'll have plenty of time to enter after the holiday period..  Hope you'll join in the Sugar Bowl fun!!

I'll have one more card tomorrow (it's scheduled so I am a BIT organised).... then the man in the red suit will be here!!  Hope you're all nearly ready and that you've been GOOD!!

Big hugs

Today I'm here with a very simple card using one of the new Sugar Nellie toppers.... which are ideal for when you need a card in a hurry!!

This one is 'More Hands Make Light Work' - and she's also available from Funky Kits in digi form too - you've no doubt seen me use her before.  But no colouring involved in this one..  it literally took me about 10 -15 mins to make.

LOTV Christmas Paper
Die: Spellbinders scalloped oval

And that's about it!

Hi to my lovely blogging friends...

I've been asked by the lovely Melyssa to join the Design Team at Whimsie Doodles and become a Doodlelicous Diva!!!  YAYYY!!  Did I have to think about it???? NOOOOO... I jumped at the chance as I've loved Melyssa's fabulous images since I first started to use digital!  So I'm doing a happy dance here..  I expect you can hear the ground shake from where you are!! LOL!

So for my first DT card, I decided to use Santa Express - available HERE amongst other fabulous Christmas images. I did enjoy the colouring and fussy cutting... and did a little decoupage too to make his bits (!) stand out...  then I wrote the sentiment on the tag by hand...

I chose to use a gorgeous rubber stamp from CC Designs - Pollycraft Skater - one of three Christmas CC Designs I bought last month.  Isn't she just sooooo cute??

Pop over to In The Pink to see what the wonderful Pink Ladies came up with and to join in our challenge - it's running for four weeks this time so we get a little break over Christmas - so there's plenty of time to enter!

Hope you're all OK and all staying warm and dry in this nasty weather...  while I'm writing this, it's dark, there's a gale force wind blowing, and it's pouring down with horizontal rain!!  So much for putting all the lovely Christmas lights outside...

All Dressed Up - In rubber too!

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

This is a little bit of a sad post, as it's my last for All Dressed Up!  I've so enjoyed working with Wendy and the Design Team over the last year or more..  but now feel it's time for me to move on as I'm one of the few original DT members left!  However, there are some wonderful new DT members taking over the mantle of using Wendy's gorgeous images - and I wish them all the best... I know All Dressed Up will be around for a very long time as the images are all so girlie and fabulous!

ANYWAY.... the exciting news is that you can now get some of Wendy's images in high quality rubber.... for those who prefer rubber to digi.  Then can be purchased from Funky Kits HERE.

I chose to use Little Raindrops..

Card Recipe:
Image: Little Raindrops Rubber Stamp
Colouring: Copics -
Skin E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 and R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Blues: B01, BG15, B32, B24
Shading: B0000, B000, N0, N2, Blender Pen
Die: Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics A
Paper: Prisma All About Me
Ribbon from Stash (only about 10 years old - bought in the US on one of my early trips there!!)

And yes....  she's in blue/aqua..... see... I have to pop an un-pink card every so often!!   And no glitter either.... what on earth has come over me?? hehe!  If it carries on, you have my permission to lock me up... LOL!

Now... you're not losing me that easily...  I'll be back later in the week with a new challenge for In The Pink.....  and then...... and then..... after that... soon.... I may have a little bit of exciting news!  Well exciting for me.......

Big hugs to all and Happy Crafting..

Sugar Nellie Toppers

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Today is my DT card for Sugar Nellie.... and this time I've done a real quick and easy card by using one of the new toppers that are available from Funky Kits HERE.  This little lady is also available as a digital stamp too if you prefer.

Of course, with my love of all things pink, she was just perfect for me to use!  After I'd popped her out of the sheet, I used some pearl trimming to surround the image... then glued her to a Spellbinders Stately Circles diecut sitting on foam pads.  The paper is a digi from Design House Digital called Frostine (but I think they've now closed down - sorry)..  then the snowflakes were from a Lawn Fawn Snowflakes die (yes they have the faux stitching on that I'm mad about!)

I added a few gems, a bit of organza ribbon, and a touch of lace then my card was done.  These poppers certainly make last minute cards so easy - and are available from Funky Kits by clicking the logo below!

While I'm here, I'd just like to say a very big welcome to my new followers...  my happy band is growing slowly and it's lovely to see!  Thank you for choosing to follow me and my ramblings..

I hope you all have a lovely day today...  I'm out with a lovely friend for coffee and a natter this morning..

Big hugs..

Anything Goes at All Dressed Up...

Hello Lovely Blogging Buddies...

Hope all is good in your world... and that you're all on the run up to the big man coming down the chimney...  No decs up in our house yet I'm afraid tho, as we have about 7 boxes of decs to get out of the loft, it has to be on a day when nothing else is planned!  It'll be soon.. I promise.  I'm afraid we do go a bit over the top when it comes to Christmas ornaments etc..  even though there are no kiddies about!  I think it's just me that's the big kid!!

Right..  onto my card... Today it's the turn of All Dressed Up for my DT card.. we have a lovely new challenge commencing today, and as always it's an Anything Goes.

I chose to use one of my favourite snowman images - 'It's Snowing'.
No matter how I photographed it straight on, I couldn't get the camera to pick up the glitter properly or the glossy accents, so eventually I decided to lay it down and take another pic... and it worked!

Card Recipe:
Image - It's Snowing from All Dressed Up
Colouring: Copics
Blues - B000, BG72, BG10
Shading in Snowman - N0, N2, N4
Nose: YR24, YR14
Shading around image: C0, C1, B000
Robin: W3, W5, R35, R46
Die: Spellbinders Nestie Square
Punch: Stampin Up Scalloped Border
Glitter, Ribbon and Glossy Accents

Before I printed the image out, I opened it up in Paint.Net to remove the wording so I had a smaller image to diecut.

Don't forget that to join in our challenge, you must use an All Dressed Up image... but as there are so many gorgeous ones available and even freebies too, it's not that difficult!  You have two weeks to enter - and we're looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..
