Santa!!!!!

Hi There...

A quickie from me today using one of the fab Santas from the MFT Jingle All The Way stamp set.  This is a set I use year after year and I love this little guy.  I combined with a sentiment from the MFT Snow Globe Sentiment set.

I used my Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Background stamp to create the starry sky over a Distress Ink blended card...  I stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with Wow Sparkling Snow embossing powder.

Colouring - Copics
Reds - R24/27/46 E57
Beard/Fur - N0/1/3
Belt and Boots- C5/7
Die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside

Hope you like my make today...

Big hugs

The Nice List!!

Hi Lovely Blogging Pals...

Well...... it's getting close!!!  In fact I've mailed or hand delivered most of my Christmas cards.... I hate to say I'm organised because I know pride comes before a fall...  but hey.... it's looking good!

I'm here to share another fun card today, made for my eldest daughter - and she received it last night so it's safe to blog.  She was delighted with it as her favourite colour is turquoise - and she loved the sky on something I did a little while back... so this one was custom made for her - and she's definitely on the 'nice list'!

Big hugs to all...

Santa!!!!!!!!

Hi Peeps...

Yes, I think it's true to say that I'm getting carried away with these little Santas....  colouring them makes me feel happy!!

Today I have made a tag - and I'm ever so carefully trying the splatter technique for the snowy background...  but I'm not wonderful at it yet, I think I'm being TOO careful!  Ah well... I'm trying!  I blended a little Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks for the background and used a little bit of glitter card for the hill.

Jingle All The Way!!

Hi Peeps....

Well I think I've officially got my 'red and green' hat on today... If you remember a couple of weeks back when I needed a little colouring therapy, I coloured quite a few of these little Santas.  Mine are digis that I bought originally from Birdie Brown when she first drew them... but now they're available as a clear stamp set from My Favourite Things.

So I had to come up with cards to put my Santas on!!  I fussy cut them and also the little girls and reindeers (more therapy as I am addicted to fussy cutting!).. and this is my first make with them...

I love SANTA!

Hi Lovely Friends...

Yep... I admit.... I have a weakness for a lovely little Santa... and this one drawn by Birdie Brown is no exception!  Now I bought this image as a digi from Birdie Brown last year (and used it a lot!).... but I now see that's not available in digi form any more.  BUT... the good news is that MFT are selling a set of clear stamps - designed by Birdie - including the three Santa's that I love!  It's called Jingle All The Way.

This isn't a DT card - it's just because I needed to make something that didn't have to use a particular make of image or theme...   I think we all have to do that every now and again don't we?

Soooo  here's what I did:  The sky was created with DI colours blended together...  then I used a Uni Posca Marker for the falling snow.  I used a Paper Smooches Stitched Borders die for the hills...  then framed it all with a Lil' Inkers Stitched Square - with a square aperture cut out.    The trees are from a Mariannes Creatables die and are liberally splattered with stickles...  and lastly... the word Christmas IS NOT a peel-off just in case you were wondering!  It's a word die from Memory Box - soooooo difficult to adhere to the card - I ended up using a double sided sheet stuck to the back of the gold mirri card..  did the diecutting, then had to try and get one to part from the other!  Hmmmm NOT so easy!  It stuck everywhere I didn't want it to stick, until I tried to put it where it should be on the card, when it decided IT DIDN'T want to stick at all!  It wasn't really the size I wanted it to be either... but hey...  it was all I had so it had to do.

  Ain't he just the cutest??

Copic Colours:
Santa: R29, R37, R56, R89, E57
Belt C5, C9
Beard and Shading C1, C2
Face: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

Big hugs to all.... and big thanks for bearing with me just lately - things are still happening in my world so it's difficult to get time for commenting - but I'll try my best.
