Sad news at In The Pink...

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Today it's the turn of In The Pink for a new challenge... and I have some very sad news..  this is to be our last challenge as we're closing up the doors of the Pink Palace.

Such sad news for me as I started up this challenge more than five years ago now  - it's been my (pink) baby - and I've loved every minute of sharing my passion for all things pink . I've had some fabulous Pink Ladies join me along the way too and have made some life long friends.  But the time has come, as we've been getting fewer and fewer entrants, and sometimes our winners don't even claim their prize!  So with a very heavy heart, I took the decision that it was time to call it a day.

To go out with something special - I chose to use this Sugar Nellie image which has features heavily in my Christmas makes over the last few years..  I adore this gorgeous little Elf from Sugar Nellie.

Card Info:
Image - Sugar Nellie Elf Made Magic (no longer available)
Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle
Sentiment - Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler
Paper - Scrap from Stash
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11, R20
Hair - E23
Pinks - RV00/52/63/55
Greens - YG23/63
Wings - B60
Shading - B60, C0/1
Sequins and Glitter

I printed out a second image and fussy cut a spare set of wings (I hate doing that to a fairy!), and made them 3D on my image - so it really does look like the fairy is ready to fly off the page!

Hope you'll join in with our last challenge if you can... we'd like to go out with a BANG!!!  Click on the link above to go straight to the challenge.

OK, now I'm off to blow my nose and sit with a tissue all day!

Big hugs

  10. Gorgeous card, lovely image and some really fab shades of pink.
So sorry about you having to close the challenge blog, I can remember you starting it. I think it is an all round thing as our entrants at Allsorts has halved and even less some week. Think a lot are going on other media's .
Well done though for running the challenge for so long.

Your card - OMG, this is so pretty! This is one of my favourite Sugar Nellie images and you have coloured her beautifully and I like the clean and crisp design too.
