Monster Mash - Take 2

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

OK, I'm here with another Halloween card...  it's from another of the August release at CC Designs.......  these are just THE cutest little monsters you ever saw!

I played again with this one, using Distress Ink blending on the tag shape..  again something relatively new to me but something I'm very much enjoying learning!

Materials Used:
Images - CC Designs Monster Mash and Halloween Things
Sentiment - CC Designs Creepy Crawlies
Dies - CC Designs Cutter Layering Tag Dies,
CC Designs Outline Dies for Images, Memory Box Fence Die
Distress Inks for Blending - Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, Dried Marigold
Digi Paper
Colouring - Copics
Hair - YG25, G99
Skin - E000/00/11, R20
Bandages - W1/2/3/5
Grave C1/3/5
I also used C9 for colouring the white surround when the images were die cut with the outline dies - I thought it gave a more halloween type effect than the usual white border.

I splattered water across the Distress Ink blending as I'd seen done - and was happy with the effect it created!  Then I drew the bats/birds flying across the moon freehand - eeek!!

Hope you're having a good week..

Big hugs

  5. Super Halloween card Christine...daren't think of that yet as I always do a big party for the littlies! Btw. 'mixing' fonts is just that... using a few bits from various ones together ;) and 'swashes' are the little swirly bits added to my sentiments and header HTH ;) hugs Viv xx

The inky tag background is very cool and the water drops looks great...I feel I would get myself in a huge mess if I tried this so will stick to admiring yours and other's efforts I think!
