Morning Ladies....
Today I'm here with a little sneak peak of what's to come in the very near future from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits.. this fabulous Oriental Lady will be available very soon!
I wasn't sure how to approach the colouring as I didn't want white to show (apart from in the shine on her hair!) So I decided the background of the image needed lots of shading.. and I'm happy with the result. The paper I've used is actually Japanese Origami paper that's been in my stash for years - I knew I needed to keep it for a reason! There's some gold mirri card there too. I've tried to match her colouring to the colours of the paper.. and used gold fine pen on the image too... unfortunately the camera is struggling to pick that up.... so you'll have to use your imagination!
Copics: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair - C1, C3, C5, C9
Shading - E50, E40, E42 and lots of blender pen
Reds - R05, R34, R46, R01
Gold Fine Liner
Now, if you keep your eye on the Sugar Nellie blog.... you'll see these images released in the very near future.. they are a little bit different to what I'm used to..... but wowwww, I LOVE them!!
Big Hugs to all and Happy Crafting

It's gorgeous Christine and I don't know why but I find black hair so hard to colour. Mind you, I avoided blonds for ages too and quite like them now, so perhaps I should try again seeing yours as inspiration.

ReplyDeleteYes I know that is why you picked the papers lol.
Not a fan of Oriental images if the truth is known but that does not mean I can't appreciate a good card when I see one.
Have a good weekend.

ReplyDeleteHello my fave little cherry pie! Hope you're doing ok. Totally loving this one. The pop of red is perfecto for this image. Gorgeous work. (BTW...
