Sugar Nellie Colour Theme Challenge...

Morning Girls

Time for another challenge at The Sugar Bowl....  and this time we have a colour theme to follow..  which took me straight into difficulties as it was coral, and away from my natural pink!! LOL!

Here's the colours we'd like to see you using...

As we're a bit 'into' Leanne Ellis at the moment... I decided to use 'Bluebell' and to try to match the colours as best I could...
I coloured with Copics as per usual... but am not really happy with how this turned out... I did a bit of distressing and a bit of glittering to see if I would become more happy with it... but no.... I think this is not going to end up one of my 'proud of' cards - which is a shame as she's such a cute image.  I have to own up, this little lady nearly ended up in the bin with me starting again...  Ah well... we all make some cards that we're not keen on, don't we?  DON'T WE??  lol!!

Don't forget to pop over to The Sugar Bowl challenge to see the fabulous cards my lovely teamies have come up with - they are far more inspiring than mine today!! LOL

And if you click on the logo here, you can go straight to Funky Kits...  where you'll find lots of fabulous stamps to choose from!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting

  6. This is such a cute little image Christine and your colouring is just fine!! I will agree that we do all makes cards that we don't always like but don't know why and I can't see anything I don't like about this one!!
My long oval dies are I think Spellbinders but I've taken them out of the packet so I don't have a name for them I'm afraid. I think I got them at a show from Crafty Devils but I can't be sure, they are very long and narrow if that helps!!

  17. Oh Christine, you're doing a me and it's not allowed! It's only me what is supposed to neurotic!!!!

It's a fabulous card, wonderful colouring and I love all the sparkle.

Thanks for the info on the die, I'm always a bit wary of ordering from the States - have heard of too many people getting stung on the VAT. Oh well, I'm a stash diet anyway!!
