The Wedding Cake

Hi again.....

And I'm back.... yet again!!  This time, it's with my DT card for All Dressed Up - our theme on the Facebook Group for this month is..

SQUARE CARDS

I needed a wedding card, so I chose to use The Wedding Cake - a beautiful image to colour - as it takes very little doing, which I love.  I coloured the actual cake at the edges with pale, cool greys (this gives the illusion of depth and shape), and then made it pop with the shading on the outside of the image.   Of course, I just had to bring in a little bit of pink too... well I HAD to, didn't I? LOL!

Card Info:
Sentiment and Die- Paper Trey Ink Tiny Tags
Paper - a scrap from stash
Colouring - Copics
Cake - C0/1
Roses and Ribbon - R81/83/85
Leaves - YG23, Y63
Shading and Grounding - T0/1/2
Ribbon and Glitter

I do wish you could see the sparkle on this card - it looks really good in real life.  Maybe I should start putting little videos of me twisting and turning my cards to show how they catch the light... LOL!

You can join in this fun challenge by using an All Dressed Up image on a Square Card and going to the Facebook Page HERE.

OK, that's me done for today... but I'll be back tomorrow.  Beginnings of months are always a busy time in my crafty world..  and I love it!

Big hugs

Autumn Loves Autumn...

Hi Lovely Peeps...

It's going to be a busy day for my blog today - I have three cards to share, so you'll get tired of seeing me!!

My first is for our Bellarific Friday - using the gorgeous Tiny Townie - Autumn Loves Autumn.  It was lovely to dig out lots of Autumn shades for the leaves on her skirt.  The leaves in our garden are already turning even though we've had very little of what you'd call 'real' summer.

I also love colouring toadstools (something to do with my love of fairies I think), so this card gave me a chance to practice.

Card Info:
Paper - Basic Grey Indian Summer
Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Square (my most used die!)
Colouring - Copics
Hair - E23/08
Skin - E000/00/11/71, R20
Toadstool Cap - R24/27/39, E57
Toadstool Stem and underneath - E40/41/42/43/44

E57/44, E40/41/43/44
Ground - E99/34/31
Shading W0/1/3
Enamel Dots coloured to match with Copics

Hope you like what I did..  I love the rich tones of Autumn and have tried to capture them here.

Don't forget to pop over to the blog to see what my lovely fellow teamies have come up with... and I'll be back later with another Stamping Bella Sneak Peak before the fabulous new release on Monday!

Halloween Fun!

Hi Peeps...

I'm back today with another of my cards for CC Designs using Dragon Hansel from the August release...  isn't he CUTE??

I decided to keep the card very CAS - we always need cards now and again in a hurry, and this is the perfect design for that.  I cut a stitched rectangle - then used a Distress Ink in Wilted Violet to create the colour behind the image.

Colouring - Copics
Sparkly Stars

Hope you like what I did.  It's been a busy week here on my blog - I'm thoroughly enjoying time in my crafty room....

Time for some Sneaky Peekies from Stamping Bella!

Hi Lovely Peeps....

Squeeeeeeeee......  I'm excited!!  Why???  Cos there's soon to be a brand new release from Stamping Bella!!!  The release is happening next Monday, September 4th - but of course, we couldn't wait to share some of the fabulous new images with you this week..... just to give you a little peek at what's going to be coming along!

This little witch HAS to be one of my all time favourites and I'm enjoying using lots of purple too just lately.  There is a shaker element on the background, but it was so difficult to photograph properly - you'll have to peer to see it!

I created the background by doing a little bit of smooshing again - using Distress Inks in Black Soot, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves.  Believe it or not, that started as a piece of white Bristol Smooth watercolour paper!  Then I used a bit of Distress Paint in white to create some stars - I did the usual splashing from a small brush - which I think I'm getting a bit better at now!

Card Info:
Sentiment done on PC
Dies - MFT Star with Shaker Pouch
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11, R20
Hair - E25/29

Tights and Hatband - YR04/YR18, C1

Sequins and Gems

Sooooooo  that's my first of the sneaky peekies this week- be sure to pop over to the blog later today to see what the lovely Bella Babes have come up with to show... and I'll be back soon with more....

The Bunny Wobble and The Peony....

Hi Lovely Blogging Buddies...

It's Bellarific Friday time at Stamping Bella - yayyyyy!  And our criteria this time was to make a 'thank you' or a 'thinking of you' card - and I chose the first.

I got this little Bunny Wobble in my last haul from Stamping Bella and have been itching to colour him/her...  and as my peonies in the garden are deep pink, that's the colour I went with - for the flower headband too!

I decided to go for a white bunny - as is shown on the stamp illustration on the pack - and I love the effect such little colouring gives.  All that was needed was shading really - oh and the pink feet and ears!  I shaded around the bunny and flower too - as I always feel that it makes the image pop a little.

Card Info:
Dies - MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edge 2, Simon Says Stamp Thanks Word
Paper - MFT Sweet Celebration Paper Pad
Colouring - Copics
Bunny - B60/63, C0/1
Flowers - RV52/63/55/19, Y35
Leaves - YG25/63
Grounding - W0/1/3/5
Shading - B0000/000/01

I die-cut the 'thanks' three times and layered/glued them one on top of the other, which makes the word stand out in 3D.

Hope you like...  and why not pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see what the other Bella Babes have come up with?

Big hugs - have a great weekend!

We're celebrating today at In The Pink - we've been in existence now for FIVE WHOLE YEARS!  That's five years of fabulous pinkness - in every shape and form!!

So my card today obviously had to be apt - and what better way to celebrate than with a sparkly card.  I diecut the word, then rubbed stickles over with my finger, making the whole word sparkle and I did the same with my star die cuts too.  To make the shaker element, I used one of MFT's brilliant shaker pouches to hold some sparkly pink sequins - and the card was nearly done...

Dies - MFT Celebrate word, MFT Happy Birthday Circle Frame, MFT Circle,
Lil' Inkers Stitched Square, Mama Elephant Confetti (stars)
