Hi Girls
Sorry I've been M-I-A for a few days.... My tooth is still causing me problems and I'm at the dentist again on Friday for root canal work.......... yuck..... but I've been in pain for over a week now, and quite frankly, not really interested in anything that took any concentration! LOL! But I've been around, commenting and such.. just not putting anything together!
But today, I felt like getting up into the craft room! My challenge was to make a card that wouldn't warrant a 'large letter' stamp as there is a lady that buys some of my cards who asked me could I do something flattish! This image from Crafts & Me called Forever Rose was an absolute JOY to colour.... I loved doing her hair! She reminds me of the late 1960's...... I think I had a poster in my bedroom something similar..... so it took me right back to those hazy days of happiness and not a care in the world! (big s-i-g-h......)
Anyway..... there are about 6 colours in her hair.... if anyone wants to know the colours, give me a shout and I'll list them. I used some trusty bazzil and some dotty pink paper from my stash for the layout then added the glamour dust and stickles befitting this beautiful lady... Ooooh and I added a couple of filigree corners to finish....
So there you go... Hope you like! Thanks for each and every one of your comments which really make my day.... especially to my new followers... I'd love to get to the 100 followers mark!
And keep your fingers crossed for me on Friday......
Hugs and Happy Crafting
Christine xx
Wowzer Christine - this is fabulous. The hair colouring is perfection, and I love the pastel pinks and browns. Your toothache obviously hasn't affected your crafting skills!!
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well at the dentists (I hate going to the dentist too).

Hi Christine, My goodness that is beautiful! I've seen these images a few times and am tempted, but don't know that I'd do them the justice that you have! Sorry to hear about the tooth, I have a proper phobia about the dentists - have almost fainted away a couple of times - so you have my sympathy. Sarah

Fabulous card Christine.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the way you've coloured her hair, and the spotty paper is so pretty.
I do like those filigree corners, but blimey they ain't half a bugger to stick on!! Unless it's just me?
I hope your tooth is now better, nothing worse than toothache! I was at the dentist last week as she wanted to re-do a couple of old fillings. Although I didn't have toothache when she started the treatment, I have had pain ever since..should've left well alone.
See you soon Christine..3 weeks??
Hugs Elaine xx

ReplyDeleteIt was a Tiffany box you spied on my mantlepiece, my gorgeous Children clubbed together and bought me a lucious bangle. I absolutely love it and couldn't have wished for anything nicer. Told you I was spoilt!!
Also I forgot to tell you the alphabet you asked me about the other week on my WOW card. It was quickcutz 'ZOE'
