Summer Breeze

Hi There Lovely Bloggers...

Well I'm smiling at my title for this post - because as I look out of the window while I'm typing, I see heavy rain and strong wind!!  Not at all summery - but this card helped me feel more in the mood!

This is one of the fab new images released today from All Dressed Up - it's called Summer Breeze, (hence the title!) - isn't she just gorgeous?  I decided to go relatively CAS... and just give her a small frame.  I wanted the butterflies and leaves to float out of the frame so had to keep it flat against the card.

Well...... I went for the colours in the photos and hopefully ticked all boxes!  Edna left her bike in the bike shed as she would have been dangerous on the road after her pink champagne cocktail!  Also..  can you imagine cycling with that skirt?? hehe!

A little bit of embossing......

Hi Lovely Blogging Friends...

Well I'm back after our few days away - we popped down to the Isle of Wight and unfortunately chose the wrong week - as it rained most of the time we were there!  It was lovely to see old friends though, and catch up on Island gossip, even though it was chilly and wet....

In The Pink

Now, we have a fab new challenge over at In The Pink for you - the theme this time is

EMBOSSING

I chose to use a wonderful stamp I've been saving and savouring for a little while... this is 'Julie - Enjoy the Ride' - from Stamp Anniething - with an embossed panel as a background.  I don't know if you've seen their stamps as yet as I don't think they're available from anywhere in the UK - I ordered mine direct from the US because I NEEDED to get some - they are so easy to colour and such fabulous images!   The shipping costs are reasonable also and they came really fast.  I'm hoping that in the near future there will be a UK outlet too.

Card Info:
Paper - Crafter's Companion
Embossing Folder - Darice
Dies - Spellbinders Circle
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/01/11, R20
Hair - E23/25/27/59
Dress and Flowers - R81/83/85/56
Bike - RV00/91/93/95, C1/2/3
Ribbon, Tiny Heart Confetti

*****

Hope you'll pop over to In The Pink and join in the fun - you could win a fabulous £15 voucher (exc. of shipping) from Dies To Die For if your name is chosen at random from our Perfect Pinkies!  So what're you waiting for?? LOL!

HAPPY DANCE!

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Happy Friday!

And as it's Friday, it's time for another fabulous Bellarific Day - where we get to share our makes using the challenge criteria - which this time, was to use some Kraft.   Now, kraft card is not something I'm comfy colouring on, but I needed to push myself and thought I'd give it a go with my Prismacolours.  Here's the result!  This is the smaller of the two Squidgie stamps in the set... and she's ideal for a tag... she's just the right size.

Razzle Dazzle!

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

It's time for another challenge at In The Pink - and our theme this time is

RAZZLE DAZZLE!

Now, as you can imagine, that's right up my street!  I chose to use Edna the Diva from Stamping Bella - I thought she would love to be given some sparkle and bling!

I blended some Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar) on the background, sprinkling water and blotting to lift some of the colour.  Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Edna - so she's flying - with her trail of glitter behind her!  I used some fabulous Cosmic Shimmer Jewel Glitter on her boa and sparkly trail..  they really show up lots better in real life than I've been able to capture on the photo!

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment- Stamping Bella Edna The Diva
Die - Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/71, R20
Hair - C5/7/9
Boa and Dress - RV52/63/55/66/17/69
Wings - RV00
Cosmic Shimmer Jewel Glitter and Sequins

I've tried to capture all the sparkle on the photo below..  unfortunately, the colour is a bit paler than real life as the window is closeby and it tends to wipe out the true colour.

Our generous sponsor at In The Pink this time is All Dressed Up - you could win two digi images of your choice if your name is chosen at random from the Perfect Pinkies..

Hope to see you there!

Pretty Peonies - Take 2

Hi there....

I've been doing a little bit of playing again....  I spotted a card by the lovely Laura Fadora recently, and was inspired to try the technique she used which is emboss resist.

I stamped the images with Versamark - then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss.  Then I coloured the images using Distress Ink Pads applied with a sponge.  It's really easy, as you don't have to worry about staying in the lines, as after the colour is applied, the images are fussy cut - and in actual fact, if a tiny border outside the embossed shape is there - it actually looks good!  I used a similar layout to Laura (with some differences) as I was so impressed with her card - thanks Laura!

I used a Tim Holtz stencil sponged through with pale pink on my white card before adding the flowers with 3D foam pads.. then I tried a splatter - which everyone I see makes look so easy.......  well, I haven't mastered it yet, and unfortunately got splatters where I didn't WANT splatters!  Please ignore those!

Card Info
Image - Mama Elephant Pretty Peonies
Colouring - Distress Inks - Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn
Die - MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle
Sentiment - done on PC
Sequins

I have a busy week this week, dashing here and there - but looking forward to a lovely day on Thursday with old friends.

A Sea View....

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Time for another new release from All Dressed Up - so time for another post using one of the fab new images from me!  This is 'Sea View' - and that girlie has just been to the beach to top up her tan, and is now off to do some sight seeing!

Card Info:
Paper - Scrap from Stash
Dies - Polaroid Die
Sentiment - done on PC
Colouring - Copics
(sorry - for some reason I didn't note the colours this time!)
Glossy Accents on her sunglasses

Hope you like what I did.

I had a lovely day yesterday - it was my eldest daughter's hen weekend.. and we started with an afternoon tea at Betty's in Harrogate  (which is the bit I went to) - very civilised!  After that, the girls all went up to a lovely woodland lodge complete with hot tub..  I think they enjoyed the fun!

Me again!!  Yes - I've been busy this week...  and look at me... not a hint of pink ANYWHERE on this card!! LOL

Stamping Bella USA

It's time for another Bellarific Friday - and the stamp we were to use is such a gorgeous one - this is 'Mason Jar of Flowers'.  It's also on offer at the moment on the website - I've linked below!  I decided to stamp the image twice and 3D the flower heads to give depth... easy to do with a little fussy cutting and some 3D foam pads

Card Info:
Die - MFT Double Stitched Rectangle (altered a little for length)
Paper - Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid - Rainbow
Colouring - Copics
Flowers - BV000/00/01/11/13/17
Jar and Water - B60, C0/1/2
Shading YG01/05
Grounding - W0/1/2
Sequins and Sparkle

I thought you may like to see a side on view also, so that you can see the depth of the 3D flowers.

Hope you like...
