Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Emily Da Bella

Hey Peeps..

As it's the last Bellarific Friday of the month, it's time for a new release card from each of the Babes...  so I chose to colour our lovely Emily Da Bella again... I still get a little tear when I colour this image... our loss of her is still felt tremendously.

This time I decided to colour and fussy cut her image, before placing her behind a panel of plaid paper...  so her elbows are overhanging.  

When I talked to Emily online from when I first joined the DT in 2016, she always would finish the conversation with 'MWAH'.... so it's how I'll always think of her and a word I had to use alongside her image.

The Emily Block Memorial Fund was set up by the family to honour Emily's passion for art and creativity, and funds are directed to the art therapy programs in the children's psychiatry department at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. 

That's a pretty good reason to buy it, don't ya think???

Altenew Zero Waste Flowery Pattern Stencils

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with the fabulous Zero Waste Flowery Pattern stencils from Altenew recently - I do love doing a bit of stencilling, but am still learning!  I also recently treated myself to some Simon Says Stamp ink pads, so I used those for the colours.

Lastly, I added a word die from Honey Bee Stamps - using the pink cardstock as a shadow around the gold mirri card word.

Stamping Bella Oddball Flamingos

Hi Lovelies

Time again for another Bellarific Friday..  and as it was an Oddball Stamp of the Month, we're using Oddballs today.

I chose to use the Oddball Flamingos - giving them a sunset created with Distress Oxides to stand against.  I coloured and fussy cut the images (yes even those legs!), then adhered with 3D foam pads, adding one of the two sentiments that come with the set, onto the top corner.  A few gems finished off the card.

Alex Syberia Digital Images Full Bloom

Hey Peeps...

I bought this Alex Syberia digital image a while back and I printed it out straight away, then it has been sitting on my desk, waiting for it's turn to shine!  And shine it die.... I LOVED colouring the different petals - choosing different colours for each bloom.  

Then I fussy cut the image - which wasn't difficult at all, I promise!  After that, I created a dry embossed lattice background and a diecut frame, then added the flowers with 3D foam pads, leaving some of the leaves overhanging. I adhered the whole panel to my card base to show the white edge.  Lastly I added a little sentiment which was already in my stash, and some gems to give some sparkle... well, you know me and sparkle!

Mama Elephant Big Thank You So Much

Hi Lovelies...

Here are some Thank You cards today from me - they are for my little grand-daughter's teachers in her first year at school...  who have been so lovely and have perfectly welcomed her into her school life.

I used distress oxides for the backgrounds, splattered with gold watercolour paint - then die cut three of the sentiment for each card, adhering them together to give dimension.  Lastly, I added some diecut glitter stars.  Maybe I'm a little old fashioned, but the pinks are for the females and the blue for the man!

Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Baker

We have another Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella today - and we're using images that are not from the current release...  so I chose to use this gorgeous Curvy Girl Baker with her yummy cake..  wish I could taste it!!

I coloured and fussy cut the image, then created a stencilled background to adhere her to.  I stamped the sentiment that is included over the stencilling in the corner... it does show better in real life than on the photo... honest!

LOTV Vases of Flowers

Hi Lovelies..

I have been playing with a fabulous new stamp set from LOTV - It's called Vases of Flowers (obviously!) - and they are lovely to use - they come with lots of little sentiments too - perfect for minimalist cards.

I coloured and fussy cut the images, then I used Nuvo glossy shine over the vases to give the effect of glass.  Then I diecut a circle, then some leaves from vellum, and adhered all to my die cut card panel, which I'd stamped with the sentiments.  I added a few gems to finish.

Stamping Bella Oddball Cleopatra

Hi Lovelies..

It's Bellarific Friday again - wow, don't the weeks go fast!  And of course, as it's the first Friday of the month - we have a Stamp of the Month - this time it's this fabulous Oddball Cleopatra at her most beautiful best!  There are three sentiments that come with the image - I do love the one I used... perfect for friends' birthday cards - yes???  As it's Stamp of the Month, you can get this stamp set throughout July for half price from the website!

I coloured and fussy cut Cleopatra, then created a stencilled background using this Rectangle Trio.  I added the sentiment, then a few gems to finish after I'd adhered the image with foam pads.

Stamping Bella Lily of the Valley 2

Hi Lovelies...

It's Bellarific Friday - and as it's the last Friday of the month, we are highlighting images from the latest Stamping Bella release - which this time is the special mini-release from last weekend, in memory of Emily .  

I chose to use this gorgeous Lily of the Valley once again - this time fussy cutting it after colouring with Prismacolour Pencils.  I diecut a lattice background and used 3d foam tape to give depth onto the card panel.  Then I adhered the flower, complete with a little sentiment from Emily's Sentiment Set.

Honey Bee Stamps Busy Bees

Hi Lovelies...

Yesterday was my lovely daughter's birthday - so I'm OK now to share the card I made for her!  I fell for this stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps when I saw it, and knew it would be perfect for her.

I stamped, coloured and fussy cut all the flowers and bees... then created a background with Distress Oxides, splattering with water and white watercolour paint.  I used the stem from the set to stamp onto the background, then adhered all the flowers, bees and leaves with foam pads.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of card coloured with the Distress Oxides, and drew a little line around, before adhering that with foam pads too.

Stamping Bella Mini Release in memory of Emily Da Bella

Hi Lovelies....

Well, today's post is a sad one... but also a celebration too.  Today would have been our lovely Emily Da Bella's birthday - and we miss her so much!  But the celebration part... is that there is a mini new release at Stamping Bella in her honour and to celebrate her life.  

My first card uses this gorgeous stamped image of Emily...  it's how I'll always remember her... busy busy, but never too busy to say a quick hello and let us know she was there if we needed her.  The 'MWAH' is exactly her and how she signed off when saying goodbye.  I'll never hear that word again without thinking of her.

Stamping Bella Tiny Townies Under an Umbrella

For our Bellarific Friday makes this week, we had a photo colour inspiration to follow...  that is, we made cards using the colours shown in this photo.

I decided to use my Tiny Townies Under an Umbrella stamp set.. stamped, coloured and fussy cut, then adhered to my card panel with 3D foam pads.  I added some matching digital card, and the sentiment that comes with the image.  I think I've managed to include all the colours shown.

Stamping Bella Under the Sea Creatures

Hi Lovelies...

It's time for another Bellarific Friday card at Stamping Bella, and this time, we're using images from the Stamp of the Month range - so it's from the Animal Friends.  I chose to use fish from the Under The Sea Creatures set - with lots of colour!

Firstly, I created a panel of glitter card, sprinkled with Alcohol Inks - the sparkle still shines through, and it gives a perfect under the sea effect!  I coloured and fussy cut all the creatures then adhered them with 3D foam pads to the panel.  I diecut the edge of a white cardstock panel with a wavy border die, then stamped one of the Under The Sea Creatures Sentiments, and finally added the little starfish.
