Floral Focus

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with this gorgeous MFT Floral Focus stamp after being inspired by Renee at @241Creative Street.  She'd used this stamp set on some of her recent cards, so as I knew I had the set and hadn't used it yet, I dug it out!

I decided to create a slimline card with the set, so split the image by fussy cutting after colouring.  I created a stitched slimline panel by adapting a smaller size die in order to make a long one.  It's a bit fiddly to do, but saves some pennies!

I then splattered the stitched panel with gold watercolour paint - I love that effect!  I stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold, then I placed the flowers using 3D foam pads to give height.  A little bit of matting and layering, a few gems added,  and it was done.

Card Info:
Image - MFT Floral Focus
Sentiment - MFT Flowers in Bloom
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Colouring - Copics
Flowers - RV000/10/11, RV93/95
Leaves - G20 YG93
Gold - Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolours

Hope you like my make today as much as I enjoyed making it.  I'll certainly be using this stamp set again soon now it's out of my 'use soon' pile!

The Snow Queen

Hi Lovelies

It's time for another Bellarific Friday - and as it's the last Friday of the month, the DT using images from the current release.  I chose to use the fabulous Oddball Snow Queen - and I decided to go for pink as a colour scheme...  with a bit of glitter added of course!

To begin with, I used some Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and did a little smooshing and painting on a diecut panel.  Then I did lots of splatters, both of deeper pink and white acrylic paints.

Then I coloured and fussy cut the image - again, adding lots of glitter around her fur trim.  I adhered her with foam pads to the panel to give some depth then I stamped the sentiment alongside her and added some sequins.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry
Colouring - Copics
Hair - E41/43
Skin - E000/01/11

Lots of Love

Hi Peeps..

We had an anniversary yesterday - it was 19 years since I first met my lovely man - so I made him this card to celebrate!  I can't believe it's that long..  where does the time go???

I used the Lots of Love Stamp Set from Colorado Crafts - I've been fancying using one of their stamps since I first saw them - and was unable to get my hands on them till recently.  They're such clean outlines and give a real cartoon-ey type feel to the image....  so I kept the card simple too.  After colouring the panel, I used foam to mount it onto the card base to give a little depth.

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - Colorado Crafts Lots of Love
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles
Paper - MFT
Colouring - Copics
Rabbit 1 - WO/1/2/3/5
Rabbit 2 - T0/1/2/3
Noses and Flower R81/83
Grass YG23/25/17
Sky - B0000/000/01

Hope you like my make today - I KNOW I'll be using more of these fabulous Colorado Crafts images in the very near future.... there's already more crept into my stash already!

For my card today, I used the MFT Wish Granted stamp....  she's just sooooo darn cute!!  I coloured and fussy cut her - then created a background by blending some Distress Inks and splattering. I then using some embossing paste through a stencil, sprinkling the paste with glitter before it dried.

Another Rainbow Make...

Hi All...

I'm back into rainbow mode for my card today..  it's my favourite place to be at the moment as it makes me happy!

I've been diecutting again - this is using the Altenew Stacked Diamonds Cover plate - I cut it twice and adhered them today, to give depth to the die cut....  then I used Distress Oxides on a panel in rainbow order...  for the diecut panel to be matted on to.

I then used a sentiment stamp from Mama Elephant's Paola's Wishes stamp set onto an MFT Pierced Circle diecut - finishing with a few flowers from that I'd stamped and fussy cut from the Simon Says Stamp Freestyle Flowers stamp set.

Here's the Distress Oxide colours I used...

Hope you like my make today even though it's a bit of a mish mash of lots of products from different companies!

The Gnome and The Letter

Hi Lovelies..

My card for this week's Bellarific Friday is a bit different for me....  there's lots of green and no pink in sight!

We're using stamps from the Stamp of the Month collection - so I chose to use this gnome from The Gnome and The Letter...  I coloured him then fussy cut him - before creating a background using Distress Inks and splattering with water.  I've got to say, the panel nearly hit the bin once or twice as the darker colour seemed too dark... but after it was splattered, I was more happy with it.

Card Info:

Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Distress Inks - Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness
Colouring - Copics
Hat - R24/27/46 E57
Suit - BG45/49
Beard - T0/1/3
Pencil - G12/82/43, RV93/95, N0/1, E31/33
Paper - C0/1

Hope you like my make today and that you'll pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more inspiration using the wonderful gnomes - and there's also the Sistahood Facebook page to share and chat all things Bella related.

Happy Rainbows!

Hi Lovelies..

A really quick card from me today - well it was quick in my mind, but not when it came to adding the 3D foam tape!

I used the MFT Happy Rainbows Die set, cut in the various rainbow colours... then added to a die cut square card panel using the narrowest of 3D foam tape.  I just thought it gave an extra something being lifted from the card.  I then matted it onto kraft card.

Before adhering it though, I created a sentiment  on the card blank, done on the PC..  as I couldn't find one in my endless stash that said what I wanted to say!

Hope you like my make today...

Foliage Frame and a Homemade Slimline Envelope

Hi Lovelies..

OK.. I give in... I've started making some slimline cards!  I bought the fabulous Trinity Stamps Foliage Frame a little while ago, so cut two of those out, adhering them together...  then dug out an MFT Best Wishes Die - which I cut three of, again adhering them together to give some depth.

I made my own card base, then cut a pink cardstock panel for the front.  I love how the white looks set on the pink.  I added gems and sequins (hopefully) to the right places...  and it was done!

Card Info:
Dies - Trinity Stamps Foliage Frame, MFT Best Wishes
Gems and Sequins

THEN - and this is what I'm most proud of, I created a slimline envelope for it!  As you know, it's not easy to get this shaped envelope here in the UK..  so out came some 150gsm A4 pink card that's been sitting in my cupboard - and a YouTube video on how to make - easy peasy!  I used my score board for the folds..  then used a little glue to get it all together - it turned out really well!

Hope you like my make today..

Flower Garden

Hi All..

I'm sharing a card today that I made using the Hero Arts Flower Garden Die and the pastel rainbow colours that I've been using lately...  so easy to make!

Firstly, I just used Distress Oxide Inks to blend a rainbow panel - colours as follows..

Spun Sugar
Picked Raspberry
Carved Pumpkin
Squeezed Lemonade
Crarcked Pistachio
Mermaid Lagoon
Wilted Violet

Then I simply used the die to cut a flower panel out of white cardstock to lay on top.  I adhered them together, then onto a card blank.

The Happy Birthday die is from Simon Says Stamp and has the shadow background, so I diecut the word in gold, and the shadow in pale pink glitter card to make it pop from the card.  I added some gems to the flowers, and it was done.

Hope you like!

Big hugs

I'm also am trying out a new technique that I've seen the lovely Rachel Alvarado use with lots of splatters over a Distress Oxide panel for the background - I think I need to practice more to get my splatters actually just on my card and not all over my desk as I had to do a lot of cleaning up afterwards!  I was really happy how it turned out tho, so thanks to Rachel for the inspiration.

Sending Big Hugs

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with this fabulous MFT Sending Big Hugs Die - and these cards are the result!  I'm just about to send them to good friends who I'm missing lots!

I used Distress Oxide Inks on a Bristol Smooth panel - using pastel rainbow colours. I sprayed the coloured panel on the first card with Perfect Pearls to give it a shimmer.  On the second, I used more colours to include lilac too.  Then I diecut the word panels three times for each card - giving lots of depth for the letters, adhering them together.  The little critters and the sentiments were from the tiny MFT Missing You Every Single Day Stamp Set.

Hi There...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Here's to a healthy, happy and joyous 2021!

Now today is the start of the new challenge over at All Dressed Up Digital Stamps Facebook Page - and the theme is..

SOMETHING SIMPLE

I think you all probably know by now that I do like CAS cards - so I pulled out and printed this fabulous Wedding Cake image from Wendy, coloured it up, then gave it some shading around to make it pop.  All I did then was use a stitched, scalloped border die on either side of the image, before mounting that on foam pads to adhere to the printed background.  A little sentiment strip completed the card.

Card Info:
Digital Paper
Die - Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders
Sentiment - done on PC
Colouring - Copics
Cake C0/1
Ribbon and Roses - R81/83/85
Leaves YG05/17
