A little bit shabby....

Hi Peeps...

Time for our new challenge over at

and our theme this time is Shabby Chic/Vintage.  This is not my usual style as you know, but, I thought I'd do my best and it would give me a good excuse to get out my treasured Frantage.  I also dug out my Distress Inks... however, I think them and me weren't made for each other...  more practice needed methinks!

Materials Used:
Colouring: Distress Inks
Frantage: Shabby White
Paper: Sofiero from Maja Design
Trimmings from The Ribbon Girl

We'd love to see you over at In The Pink to join in the Shabby Chic fun...  you can find the challenge HERE.  The main rule of the challenge is that you use more pink than any other colour..

And now some of my news.... It's a week now since we got back from our wonderful holiday in Kefalonia..  but I've been very slow catching up with my blog commenting as I've had problems with my eye.  I've been to the opticians today to have them checked, and I'm told that all is well, but that I have another floater - this time bigger and closer to the back of the eye so is directly in my line of vision.  It's causing difficulties - particularly when I use the computer.  But the optician did tell me that in a few weeks, my brain will get used to it and my eye will work around it!! Phew!!!  I've had floaters for years (I think everyone does at one time or another), but I've not had one before that is white and so big!  Anyway...  as my commenting will be few and far between... please understand, and know I'll be back soon.

And now to show you what we woke up to every morning in Kefalonia - this was the view from our wonderful bungalow  (you can see the glass barrier at the edge of the balcony) which immediately overlooks the fabulous colours of the Ionian Sea.  You know, I think I may just be going off pink and onto turquoise/azure!! hehe!  And after all the rain this week.... I SOOOO wish I was back on that lovely island..

Big hugs and Happy Crafting

  11. Well Christine this is fabulous, the card not the floaters. I am not a shabby fan but I love this card.
I have strange happening with my eyes too, I get like a kaleidoscope thing going on, told optician and he asked if I had headaches afterwards which I don't, Since the first time I mentioned it he has called them silent headaches, says I should mention them to the Doctor but not to worry as they are common.
Anyway it is my turn to jet off to warmer shore, go Saturday for 2 weeks so sorry will not be able to comment.
Glad you had a good time.
