LOTV James Daisy

Hi Ladies...

Well I had a crafty day yesterday...  doing a bit of colouring... and as James Daisy from LOTV had been sitting on my desk giving me the eye and wanting me to give him the some fur... so I did!

Now I seem to remember that one of my favourite teddies (well actually I think it was one of my girls' teddies as I don't remember having one when I was tiny.. sniff)..  was a curly haired one.... so I decided to try to give James some texture.  I think it worked... what do you think?

Colours used for fur: E41, E50, E51, E43, E57, W5 - and a touch of blender pen too...
I did the grass with Prismacolour Pencils (a la Paula Williamson who taught me this technique!)

And then.... the sentiment!  I have been known to ruin a card by trying to give it a sentiment - and I really didn't know what to do here... so I decided to opt for the tag and twine safer option... this one is PTI  with a tiny For You sentiment also from PTI.  Of course, I had to fill in the little heart shaped hole with some pink.... didn't I??

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..

  15. Fabulous and apart from the twine and tag I love the way you have left him to stand alone, so to speak, needs absolutely nothing else.
    Brilliant colouring.

  20. Hi Christine, I love this one! It's right up my street - clean and simple but sooo cute and adorable!

The teddy is coloured wonderfully and I love your placement of the sentiment. I know just what you mean about sentiments as well - I tend to leave them off, as I never seem to be able to find just the right one, or the right place for it!

  23. Hi Christine, just popping back to say thanks for the kind comment you left on my blog.

I double checked the link on my blog for In The Pink and it's definitely there - maybe I hadn't caught up with myself when you commented! Wouldn't be the first time I'm lagging behind!!

  24. This is just gorgeous. This is the first time I've logged into kitandclowder and am amazed at the art work. This bear, though, caught my eye for many reasons. First, his fur looks totally fabulous. I also love how you outlined him in that soft blue. The twine and "for you" on the disk is fabulous as the embellishment. How did you get the little dotted lines around the square white paper? Hugs, Gail
