A card for Mummy...

Hi Ladies

Today it's my DT card for The Sugar Bowl Challenge - the theme is 'Mother's Day/Special Lady' - and I was asked to do a card for a little girl to give to her Mummy...

I chose to use a digi image...  Princess..  and although the colours show purple on the photograph, they are more a muted lavender in real life!  Cameras do lie!

Materials used:
Papers: First Edition New Bloom (from my lovely OH at Christmas)
Colouring: Copics V000, V01, V06, V12 and Promarker Fuschia Pink
Shading Copics N0, N2, N4
Dies: L'il Inkers Stitched Rectangles, MFT Dienamics Flower Trio, La la Land Stitched Tab
Lace, Seam Binding, Pearls and Glitter from stash
Sentiment done on PC

Hope you like my card and will pop over to The Sugar Bowl to see what the lovely ladies on the DT have come up with..  then we'd love to see your entries for a special lady using a Sugar Nellie image.  Don't forget you can win a fabulous prize of some gorgeous rubber stamps  if your card is chosen as the winner!

Thanks to all for your time visiting my blog, and any comments you leave.  I do love to hear from you if you have time to say hello...

LOTV James Daisy

Hi Ladies...

Well I had a crafty day yesterday...  doing a bit of colouring... and as James Daisy from LOTV had been sitting on my desk giving me the eye and wanting me to give him the some fur... so I did!

Now I seem to remember that one of my favourite teddies (well actually I think it was one of my girls' teddies as I don't remember having one when I was tiny.. sniff)..  was a curly haired one.... so I decided to try to give James some texture.  I think it worked... what do you think?

Colours used for fur: E41, E50, E51, E43, E57, W5 - and a touch of blender pen too...
I did the grass with Prismacolour Pencils (a la Paula Williamson who taught me this technique!)

And then.... the sentiment!  I have been known to ruin a card by trying to give it a sentiment - and I really didn't know what to do here... so I decided to opt for the tag and twine safer option... this one is PTI  with a tiny For You sentiment also from PTI.  Of course, I had to fill in the little heart shaped hole with some pink.... didn't I??

See - I can do blue!

Hi Girls..

Shocked  - aren't you??  hehe!  But just to show it's possible..  I've used blue!!

This little lady is from the February launch at All Dressed Up...   there are another FOUR fabulous images to check out.. I'll show them later...

I decided to use 'Love to Dance' - and did a bit of fussy cutting around her so I could 3D her onto the paper.  The paper I've used is a digi, but it's been printed out for a long time sitting waiting to be used - I think it's probably Pink Petticoat.  Then all I used was a Martha Stewart Border punch, added a button and a bit of twine... and she was done... SOOOO very easy!

Happiness
Love to Dance
Purrfect Together
Rock my World

How great are they?  To purchase any of the images, please head on over to the shop HERE.

We'd love you to join in with our new challenge...  it's a sketch...  and you could win THREE digi images of your choice from the shop!

We also have a Facebook Group so that you can share your All Dressed Up creations, and also chat with fellow card makers...  it's a nice relaxed place to be.

Pink Plus......!!

Hi Ladies

It's PINK time again!! YAYY!

Well... to be truthful, it's 'Pink Plus One'!  The theme this week at In The Pink is to use Pink PLUS one other colour (of your choice of course!)  I chose to use chocolate brown with my pink...  and chose this little Dillybeans digi image as I really have fallen in love with these little images!  She cried out to be fussy cut, so out came my special Martha Stewart scissors that I tend to keep for this task...

Materials:
Colouring: Copics and Promarkers
Die: Nestie Circle basic shape
Dotty Paper:  AnnaMarieDesigns
Ribbon from a chocolate box at Christmas - knew it would come in handy!
Glitter from Stash

Hope you like my card today.... it's one that I'm truly pleased with (and I don't say that often as you know!)  I also hope that you'll pop over to In The Pink and join in the pink fun with the lovely DT...  I'd love to see you there!

Hope all is well in your world...
Big hugs

A vision in green...

Hi Girls

Another day away from my favourite colour.. but there is a little bit of pink about on this card to make me smile..!

It's time for a new challenge at Paper Nest Dolls...  so I thought I'd use Teddy Bear Emma..  making a fold-type card.... sorry I don't know the official term for this!  The first part of the card is folded back on itself...  know what I mean?  This may give you a clue..

Card Materials:
Image: Paper Nest Dolls Teddy Bear Emma
Colouring: Copics
Paper - My Minds Eye Collectables
Sizzix Polka Dot Embossing folder
Sentiment done on PC
Button and Twine from stash

I'd love you to pop over to the Paper Nest  HERE to see what the other Dolls have come up with....  some gorgeous creations there I can tell you!

Then why don't you join in our challenge?  We'd love to see you enter... particularly if you use a Paper Nest Dolls image!

Don't worry........ be happy!

Hi Ladies

Hope you're having a lovely weekend...  we went for a walk this morning in lovely sunshine..  we walked past the local cricket ground, the local pub (no, we didn't go in!)... then by the church.  We had a Red Kite above us circling looking for a tasty morsel.. (I wasn't it!)    We saw so many beautiful snowdrops, some crocuses trying to peep out, trees beginning to blossom (yes already)...  and lot of things in bud...  it doesn't seem quite right does it?  After all, it's only February - and we could still have deep snow before Spring!

Right... the reason I'm here... my card!  I used one of the new Tiddlyinks images... this one is Ellie Says Be Happy and is available HERE.

Materials Used:
Image: Tiddlyinks Ellie Says Be Happy
Colouring: Copics
Paper: Pink Petticoat Tiny Hearts
Dies: Nesties Stately Circles, MFT Dienamics Pierced Circle Stax, MFT Triple Flower, Li'l Inkers Stitched Scallop Border Die
Pebbles Inc Rub On
Glitter, Twine and Gems from Stash

This is a 'just because I felt like it' - the type I enjoy making!  I'm also trying to improve my colouring technique...  something I'm also enjoying!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day..
Big hugs

Happy Valentine's Day..

Hi Ladies

Just thought I'd drop by and show you the card I made for my lovely OH (he'll be at work now so I can show it)...  I saw this little lady on Faye's blog a week or so back and just had to have her for today.... she's called Smoochy and is from Tiddlyinks HERE..  Isn't she just gorgeous?  I just hope my OH doesn't think his card is from the 'old cow!'
I used a Darice Embossing folder  for the clouds (which show better in the pic below)..  then a bit of Echo Park Summertime paper behind the cow..  all coloured with my Copics..  with some glossy accents for the pout!  The sentiment is computer generated and the little hearts were waste from another die I used a while ago.

Believe it or not, the edges are all symmetrical - but don't show that way on the photographs.. always the way.  Anyway... simple but effective... yes?  Hope you like!

Thanks for looking and for any comments you leave... they're always greatly appreciated.
A big welcome to my newest followers also.

Big hugs and Happy Valentine's Day..

Some bright colours to cheer us up..

Hi Girls

Well as the UK is being subjected to all this rain and wind... I thought I'd do a card to make us think of summer!

I used a Bugaboo image - Flower Pot 1 - and did a bit of paper piecing...  and I must admit, I was happy with the result.  Totally different than my norm as you know... but a nice change...

The paper is all Echo Park - they are digi's from Jessica Sprague  (all from One Buck Wednesday)..  And they do come in handy.  I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the texture, then 3D'd the pot and flowers to give some depth.  The sentiment is by Paper Smooches - it's from a set called Sentiment Sampler..  I find this set so useful!  It's available from Samuel Taylors here.

I do hope I've brightened your day a bit... (those that needed it).... and I send big hugs to those that have suffered any flooding.. no matter how small.

Happy Crafting..

A little bit of ROMANCE.....

Hi Ladies

The calendar has whizzed around again and it's time for another challenge at In The Pink...  my home away from home!!

Funnily enough, Tilda has been a popular choice at The Pink Palace this time...  with the majority of us choosing to use her for our VALENTINES/LOVE THEME...

I chose to use Tilda Blowing Hearts - which was a gift I received from a lovely lady (thank you sweetie).. and although I did aim to use a very pale pink... I ended up using quite a vivid colour!

Materials used:
Image - Tilda Blowing Hearts
Colouring: Copics - Pinks RV00, RV17, RV34, RV55
Dies: Li'l Inkers Rectangles, Memory Box Pecious Hearts
Paper: Bella Boulevard Love and Marriage
Satin ribbon bow, Tim Holtz DI glitter and gems from stash

I'd love you to pop over to In The Pink and join in our VALENTINES/LOVE challenge..  the more the merrier at The Pink Palace - we can have a party with Pink Champagne!

Hope all is well in your part of the world...  and that you're not suffering from the floods in parts of the UK..  some people are having a really bad time.. I really do feel for them.

And lastly... I would just like to say hello to my new followers.... thank you for joining me in my little bit of cyberspace.

Big, Big Hugs

Back in pink mode...

Hi Girls

Well I've rushed back to my pink corner, and dug out my pink pens again...  I may be getting totally boring but I do love the colour...  so here we are!

Time for another challenge at The Paper Nest Dolls - and for this one I chose to use Love Strung Ellie... who is a little doll to colour... and of course, she had to have some sparkle too..

Materials used:
Colouring Medium: Copics
Dies: Li'l Inkers Stitched Square, Dienamics Layered Heart Border, Dienamics Heart Doily
Pink Petticoat Dotty Paper
Heart Shaped Pearls (from The Hobby House) and Glitter

I used some of the waste from the heart doily to create the heart border on the right hand side.... waste not, want not huh??

If you pop over to The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge HERE you'll see what the other Dollies have come up with to inspire you.. and you have until February 14 to play along.  AND if you use a Paper Nest Dolls image... you could win $20 voucher to spend at the store... so hope to see you there!

Big hugs and Happy Crafting..
