MFT Stitched Garden

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my lovely daughter's birthday which was on Friday, so I'm safe to share!

Firstly, I created a background panel by using a scalloped border die on white card, over some blue card that I'd stamped with Versamark using a background stamp from MFT called Circle Celebrations.  This left a darker image which I thought suited the card.  I stamped the 'happy birthday' and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  I'd used a stitched square die on both of the panels, and was careful to attach the pieces together to the right size for the panel.

I die cut some flowers from the Stitched Garden set by MFT..  then some small ones from Memory Box, and some leaves from a set I'm not sure of.  I attached the larger flowers with foam pads, then the smaller flowers and leaves with liquid glue.  I added gems to the centre of the larger flowers, and some stickles to the centres of the smaller ones.

Daisy with Slatted Circle

Hi Lovelies..

Well, despite it being exceptionally hot in my craft room yesterday, I enjoyed making this card!  The daisy is unbranded (you probably know what that means!)  I diecut it, then coloured with Copics.

Then I used a circle slatted die on my card panel.  I smooshed a smaller panel for behind the slats, using Distress Oxides, splattering with gold watercolour paint.  I adhered that with foam tape behind the slats.  Then I added the flower to the front of the slats, using sticky dots.  I used a tiny sentiment tag tied on with a bit of cord, then matted it all onto blue card.  Finally, I added some gold tiny dots, and some glitter glue on the flower centre  and it was done.

Lawn Fawn Spring Flowers Backdrop

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a card I made after being inspired by a card I saw on either Pinterest or Instagram..  but I can't find the post now, so I don't know who to thank!  If it was you, I'm sorry,  but thank you for the inspiration!

I used these flowers from the Lawn Fawn Spring Backdrop die set, leaving them uncoloured apart from the centres.  I cut some leaves and stems from green cardstock, then adhered them and the flowers to some dotty pink card.  I adhered the panel to a stitched rectangle, then added the hugs word which I'd cut in silver cardstock, with it's shadow in white.

The Greetery Silly Goose

Hi Lovelies..

I'm sharing a card today that reminds me of my lovely Mum...  when I was a child and I'd done something silly.... she'd call me, lovingly, a 'silly goose'!  So when I saw this die set from The Greetery called Silly Goose, I had to buy it!

I played putting the bits together and giving them a bit of colour - then created the background using a cloud stencil and some Distress Oxides.  I used an elongated oval die to cut a gold frame, then created a sentiment on the PC, and it was done.

The Greetery Botanicals Soapwort

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing another card I made using the Botanicals Soapwort dies from The Greetery..  this time I decided to make it the focal point on a lattice die.

I diecut it and coloured the leaves with Copics.  The flowers I cut from some smooshed card that was in my scraps.  Then I die cut the lattice background and adhered it to a smooshed panel, adding the flower on top.  Lastly I added a tiny sentiment embossed in gold and backed with some gold mirri.

LOTV Ballerina

Hi Lovelies..

Today, I'm sharing a card made using a digi image from Lili of the Valley - I think I bought six of these gorgeous girlies - which allowed me 50% off - bargain!!

I coloured and fussy cut her, then used an embossing tool to give her some rounded shape.  Then I created the background using an Elegant Impressions Oval die from Craft Addiction UK.  This die doesn't actually cut as you can see, but leaves a dotty area for your image to be adhered to.  I thought it was the perfect background for this ballerina!

Lastly, I heat embossed a sentiment from with gold embossing powder on a pink strip of card.. which I backed with a white strip too.

The Greetery Shortbread Shapes Rectangles Spring

Hi Lovelies...

Today I've been playing with some new stash by The Greetery... using their Shortbread Shapes Rectangles Spring Embossing Folder.

I felt it cried out to be coloured delicately with pastels, so I tried to achieve that.  Then I separated the rectangles, and adhered them to a panel, before adding that to a blue card base.

Lastly, I added a sentiment cut from mirri card, and layered three times to give depth.

Altenew Piped Floral Lace Embossing Folder

Hi Lovelies...

I've tried a little something different for my card today... but I was really happy how it turned out!

I used this gorgeous 3D embossing folder onto some darker pink cardstock.. then after embossing, I wiped a white ink pad over the raised flowers and leaves. It obviously makes the pattern stand out much stronger than just embossing.

Then I stamped a sentiment onto some vellum and heat embossed in silver embossing powder.  I tore the vellum before adhering it to my embossed panel, then I adhered the panel to my card base.

Embossing Folder - Altenew Piped Floral Lace
Sentiment - Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments

Hope you like how it turned out too!

Simply Graphic Cadres Fleuris 2

Hi Lovelies...

For my card today, I've used another of the Simply Graphic Cadres Fleuris dies - there's two in the set, and this is the second.

I diecut the frame and flower from gold mirri card, also cutting a couple of layers from kraft card.  I layered them up to give it depth.  I then adhered it onto some patterned paper that I'd splattered with gold paint to give it more sparkle.  Then I created an embossed panel with a flower embossing folder, which I then matted and layered onto more of the patterned paper, and lastly onto my card base.  Finally I added a tiny sentiment embossed in gold on white, backed with the patterned paper again.
