MFT Happy Birthday Party Dienamics

Hi Lovelies...

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I made using the new MFT Happy Birthday Party Dienamics dies... inspired by the lovely Laura Bassen's YouTube tutorial.

Firstly, I created a stencil using acetate, just freehand cutting a wavy edge.  I then used this to blend Distress Inks through onto my card panel.

I die cut the words several times in different colours, so I could pick and choose the letters I wanted in whatever colour.  That was it really - I glued the letters in place and added some of the little do-dah's around - and also some sequins.

Distress Ink Colours Used:
Candied Apple
Carved Pumpkin
Squeezed Lemonade
Twisted Citron
Peacock Feathers
Salty Ocean
Shaded Lilac
Dusty Concord

Hope you like these fun cards... they're another couple to go in my stash ready to send out!

Big hugs...

Tiddly Inks Fairy Wishes Wryn

Hi there...

Today I'm sharing a card I made with a fabulous Tiddly Inks digital image that I've had for a long time...  but Wryn is always a lovely image to colour, so out she came with her magic wand, to be coloured up and sparkled!

I coloured and fussy cut her, then set about making a smooshed background of pinks and splatters.  I decided this Sparkle word die would be perfect to use, so cut it 3 times and adhered together, the top layer being cut from glitter card. I then  edged the card with glue, sprinkled with holographic glitter.  There's never enough sparkle in the world.... right???

LOTV Little Mouse Flowers

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with a digi image from LOTV - this little mouse is called simply 'Little Mouse Flowers' - for obvious reasons! He's such a cutie and very easy to colour.

I found this scrap of ink smooshed card in my bits box - and so decided to use it as a narrow panel alongside the mouse.  I made it using Distress Inks some time ago. It just shows - never throw anything away..  as it may come in handy!

I added a tiny die cut tag on some twine, and it was done.

Stamping Bella Curvy Girl Gardener

Hi There Lovely Bloggers...

Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella - I've used the Curvy Girl Gardener..  and I made her dungarees pink!!  Well a girl's gotta have pink, hasn't she???  Oooh, and a few polka dots crept in too!

I created the background by using a stencil...  I used Distress Inks in both Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn sponged through for the leaves.  Then once I'd coloured her, I fussy cut the image to adhere with 3D foam pads.  I stamped the sentiment over the stencilled leaves.  I truly believe that sentiment - but it's not just the flowers, but the weeds also in our garden believe in the future too - they're growing so fast!!!

MFT Hexagon Pops, Avery Elle Simply Said Hugs

Hi Lovelies...

Well........  as you can see, I've happily been playing with the Hexagon Pops Dies from MFT...  I think I got a little addicted to them to be quite honest!

Soooo firstly I used Distress Oxides on some cardstock - blending rainbow colours together (colours listed below).  Then, I used the die with the three rows of hexagons onto this rainbow card - as they all stayed in the negative space when I lifted the die after cutting, I was able to put some wide purple tape over the whole thing.  I was careful to line up the purple tape with the edges of the hexagons, which allowed me to make sure they were straight on my cards when I adhered them.  But before that, while they were still in the negative part, I cut and added some tiny 3D foam pads onto the backs of all the tiny hexagons.  I carefully removed the negative of the die, peeling it back to leave the hexagons still on the purple tape, but perfectly in place to be adhered with the foam pads to the card panel.  I've got to say, this bit got easier as I went on..  but it just took a bit of patience to do the foam tape cutting.  Just be very careful to make sure they're all pressed down to stick, before lifting the purple tape.

Distress Oxides Used:
Spun Sugar
Picked Raspberry
Carved Pumpkin
Squeezed Lemonade
Cracked Pistachio
Mermaid Lagoon
Dusty Concord

I did a bit of gold heat embossing for the tiny sentiments - then used a HUGS word die from Avery Elle cut three times and adhered together, to give the word depth.  The tiny words are from the Avery Elle Simply Said Hugs stamp set, and also from The Stamp Market Tons of Type.

Finally, I cut another batch of hexagons from a piece of pink Distress Oxide blended cardstock..  I'm not sure which I love most!  Of course, pink has a massive place in my heart, but I love the rainbow colouring too!

Distress Oxides:
Spun Sugar
Kitsch Flamingo
Picked Raspberry

Sorry my photos aren't wonderfully bright - I'm afraid it's been stormy here, as is reflected in the white cardstock I've used!

Hope you liked my cards today - sorry the post was picture heavy!
