Penguin Family

Hey Peeps...

It's time for another Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella, and this week, we're highlighting stamps from the current release.  I chose to use this fabulous family of penguins for my card...  and I'm loving how it turned out!

I coloured up the penguins, then created a mask for them by stamping again onto masking paper and cutting out, so that I could used Distress Inks in the background.  I left the masks in place while I splattered some white acrylic paint to create the snow scene.

Card Info:
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangles

Penguins - C5/7/9 B31 Y38 YR18, Beard N0/1/2

Finally I added the sentiment that comes with the image, and matted onto some navy cardstock.

Winterberry Background...

Hi Peeps...

I've been playing with a fabulous background stamp from Pink Fresh Studio called Winterberry Background...  and have used it in three different ways - firstly on a Distress Ink blended red background, heat embossing the image with gold embossing powder. It's a bit difficult to get the gold mirri to show properly on the photograph unfortunately.  I used red cardstock to start, but blended Candied Apple and Aged Mahogany around the edge before stamping.  I added a little sentiment from an MFT set - also embossed in gold.

Next I stamped it in black ink onto Kraft card, colouring with Copics.  Again, I added the same little sentiment.

I added glossy accents to the berries on all three cards to give some texture, and also a few little sequins.

Lastly, I stamped the image onto white cardstock, again colouring with Copics..

Copic Colours - YG17, G46, G99, R46, E57

I think you'll agree that it looks so different on each of the different backgrounds - and it's a stamp I'm sure I'll use over and over again!

Bundle Girl with a Tree

Hi Lovely Peeps..

Today for my Bellarific Friday card, we're using images from the current Stamp of the Month collection - which means, we're using Bundle Girls!

I chose to use this gorgeous little girlie carrying her mahoosive Christmas tree..  complete with the lights too!  I coloured and fussy cut the image (soooooooo tricky around the lights!) - then created a blended background using Distress Inks,  splattering the blue with water to create a snowy scene. I added a little die cut snow bank for her to walk along.

Card Info:

Image - Stamping Bella Bundle Girl with a Tree, Sentiment - Stamping Bella Long Distance Christmas Sentiments, Distress Inks Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Colouring - Copics - Tree G05/09/17/46, Coat RV52/63/55, Hat and Boots BG53/57, Lights - R24/46, Y15/38

I finished off by adhering her with foam pads to the background - then used Glossy Accents on the lights - so effective!

Hope you like my make today and that you'll pop on over to the Stamping Bella Blog to see more inspirational cards from the Bella Babes!

Worldly Women!

Hey Peeps...

I came across this stamp set when I was having a clear out and couldn't resist colouring these gorgeous ladies - don't ya just love them?  It's from Inky Antics and called 'Worldly Women' - I can only say I'm the one with the pink hat!!  I think the set may be retired now or unavailable unfortunately.

I coloured and fussy cut these ladies.... those legs were a bit tricky with the varicose veins - but I managed!

Sorry, I can't list the colours as I didn't make a note of them!

Santa and the Missus!

Hi Peeps..

Crikey, this week has gone by quickly - and it's Bellarific Friday time again at Stamping Bella!  Today, we're sharing cards made with images that aren't from the current release.  I chose to use this fabulous Santa from the Oddballs Santa and his Missus stamp set.

Unfortunately, there wasn't room for the Missus on the card, just himself front and centre!  I coloured and fussy cut him, adding lots of glitter to his fur and beard... then created a background by blending Distress Inks through a circle stencil, stamping a Christmas background stamp in Versamark through the stencil, then heat embossing it with white embossing powder.  I finished off by white heat embossing the words onto red cardstock, trimming them and adhering both the Santa, and the sentiment onto the panel using 3D Foam Pads.

Bundle Girl and Penguin

Hey Peeps...

As it's now November, it's Stamp of the Month time at Stamping Bella... YAYY!  This time it's one of my all time favourite characters - this is Bundle Girl with a Penguin..  isn't she just TOO CUTE???  And you can get her with 50% discount throughout November from Stamping Bella!!

I coloured and fussy cut her, then created a panel for her to be adhered to, by using a circle stencil, and inking through that with Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire onto a white cardstock panel.  While the stencil was still in place, I splattered the Distress Inks with water, before lifting the water with a paper towel.... this gives a lovely snow scene effect.  I then added some white snow flakes and some glitter too.  I did a little shading on the white part of the panel, for her shadow.

Finally I added a sentiment which came from the Wren and Her Wreath stamp set.  I stamped with versamark onto navy cardstock, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle Die

Sending Smiles

Hi Peeps...

Today, I've used the gorgeous Simon Says Stamp Hexagon Tiled Background stamp to create my card.  Firstly I used Distress Oxides to blend my background, then stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I diecut the Sending Smiles word die (also from Simon Says Stamp) four times, adhering together to give lots of depth.  The fourth and top one is cut from gold Mirri card to match the gold on the background.

I matted and layerd onto more gold mirri, added a few gold sequins and it was done!

Card Info:

Girl's Christmas Stocking

Hi Peeps...

It's time for a new challenge over at the All Dressed Up Facebook group - and for November, the theme is

FEELING CHRISTMASSY

So I opened up one of my favourite images - Girl's Christmas Stocking - and coloured her then fussy cut around the image.

I created a background by masking a wide stripe diagonally across my card panel, blending some Distress Oxides in the gap, then using my favourite of all time background stamp - while the masks were still in place.  I heat embossed with WOW sparkly embossing powder.  Then finally I adhered the fussy cut image and added the sentiment.

Card Info:

Image - All Dressed Up Digital Stamps Girl's Christmas Stocking, Sentiment - CCDesigns Christmas Sentiment Set, Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and Wilted Violet, Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle Background, Colouring - Copics - Skin E000/01/11 R20, Hair E41/42/43/44, Dress/Stocking/Bow R81/83/86 B60/63

Hope you like my make today... I was in my favourite pink zone while I made it as you can tell!
