A Paper Hug for You

Hi Lovelies...

Happy Sunday!

Now, I'm into rainbow colours at the moment (you may be able to tell!) - so I got out my Distress Inks to make a rainbow background for this die.

I actually used cotton wool balls to do the blending (a brilliant tip I read somewhere), and I keep them in a grip lock back for use next time I need a rainbow!

The die is from The Stamp Market - and is perfect for use in the current circumstances... I'll be making and sending these cards to lots of friends.  The top part is actually in white glitter card, but it doesn't show on the camera well.  I matted with a little bit of silver mirri card - but that doesn't show much either... ah well!

Hope you like my make today...

Flying Gnome!

Hi Lovelies..

For today's Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday make - we're using images from the current release.......  and yes... that means I could use this awesome gnome who is flying high! I do love this little guy...  he's really going for it - but the bee is doing all the hard work!

I coloured and fussy cut the image... then created a 'smooshed' background using Distress Inks.  I then used a border die to edge the white base of the card, before stamping the sentiment.

Birthday Balloons

Hi Lovelies...

I've been playing with my stencils again - this time with the MFT Big Balloon Stencil and some Distress Inks..  and here's the result!  I used a Whimsy Stamps Happy word die, cut three times and adhered to the card, with the word Birthday embossed in gold on black card stock below.  I also used a fine liner pen for the strings on the balloons.  Lastly, I used a white gel pen for the balloon highlights.

Hope you like...

Tangled Loops!

Hi Lovely Bloggers..

Hope you're all keeping well...

Now...  I have to say firstly, that I was so inspired when I spotted the lovely Jennifer McGuire's video using these fab new dies from Altenew - that I had to immediately buy them and give her design a try!  So.... this is totally HER design.. thank you Jennifer..   but now I know how to use the die with acetate... I'll be using it in different ways a LOT!  I seriously love these dies and have tons of ideas now!

Like Jennifer, I die cut the Twisted Loops Die twice and adhered them together.  Then I took my card base - trimming the front to only about a quarter of an inch, so I could adhere the loopy panel at the top.  I cut a panel of acetate the same size as this panel - and adhered that behind - so the front of the card is see through.

Then I set about die-cutting and adhering the flowers to an oval diecut.

Card Info:
Dies - Altenew Tangled Loops Cover Die
Altenew Nested Florals
Sentiment - The Stamp Market
Gems

This card took a little while to make, even though there was no colouring - but I think it was worth it as I love how it turned out - hope you do too.

Big hugs

Meet Rosie and Bernie

Hi Lovely Bloggers...

Today my card is for our Bellarific Friday over at Stamping Bella - we're highlighting the Rosie and Bernie collection - as one of those stamps (Rosie and Bernie in Hawaii) is the current Stamp of the Month.

I decided to go for a shaker card this time.  Firstly, I created a background using Distress Oxide Spun Sugar over a stamped and heat embossed background - tiny swirls!  Then I diecut a frame and backed it with acetate.  Then - and this is a new hack for me - I used fun foam with glue instead of double sided foam tape..   this does prevent a certain amount of stickiness with the foam tape - to which the sequins like to stick!!  Yayyy it worked!

Card Info:
Dies -Frame - Mama Elephant Framed Tags Die Set
Cloud - Lawn Fawn Spring Showers
Colours - Copics
Unicorn - T0/1 RV52/63 V25/12
Rosie - E000/01/R20, R81/83/85
White Gel Pen for hearts
Sequins and glitter

Hope you like my make today and that you'll pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more fabulous inspiration!

 Have a Great Weekend...

Another Happy Birthday Circle!

Hi Lovely Bloggers..

A really quick post from me today showing another card I made using the MFT Happy Birthday Circle Die, and their Skinny Stripes.

I did a little bit of ombre shading on the stripes and wording with Distress Oxides, going from Worn Lipstick to Picked Raspberry.  Next time, I'll blend the colours first before die-cutting..  I think that would be slightly easier!

I used one of the MFT Acetate Circle Shaker frames.... added lots of sequins... backed with some glitter card, and it was done!

Hope you like!

Flowers in Bloom

Hey there...

Well I may be late to the party, but I discovered the fabulous MFT Flowers In Bloom this week..  and as soon as I received it, I wanted to colour!  I'd been inspired by a card from Donna at the MFT DT, so tweaked it a little to make it mine - but thanks Donna for the inspiration.

Then I fussy cut the image, before creating a card panel with  a small strip of dotty paper to add interest.  I adhered the flowers with foam strips, then added a couple of gems, and it was done!

Card Info:

Image and Sentiment - MFT Flowers in Bloom

Colouring - Copics

Roses For You

Hey There...

Today I'm sharing a card using the fabulous roses from the Simon Says Stamp Roses for You clear stamp set.

I coloured them with my Zig Clean Colour markers - blending colours together on the same flower.  I was really happy how the blends turned out.  I then fussy cut the flowers and leaves before adhering them on foam pads on a card base that I'd added some pink stripe paper to.

Reach High!!!

Hi Peeps..

My second post of the day - this time it's the turn of All Dressed Up - who have some fabulous new images released today!

I've used the gorgeous 'Reach High' for my card - and I chose to use aqua and violet - which, after pink, are two of my favourite colours.

After colouring and fussy cutting the image, I created a background by using the MFT Rectangle Trio Stencil - blending Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers through the stencil.  I then adhered the girl with 3D foam pads to give depth.  I added a few little gems, and the card was done.
