Yes... I'm addicted!

Hi Lovelies..

OK, that's it... I give up...  I'm officially addicted!  To what I hear you ask??  To Alcohol Inks!!  With the help of a lovely online friend, I've been nudged to play with what was already in my stash..  Thank you Sharon for pushing me to play!!

For this card, I firstly created a rainbow coloured panel with the alcohol inks - so easy to do - then used two smaller white card panels which I'd diecut the edge of using an MFT Stitched Borders die.

All were adhered to the card base, then I used a Simon Says Stamp Sending word die (cut three times - the top one from gold mirri), and a small sentiment from the SSS matching stamp set.  I embossed the sentiment in gold and then used an old Stampin' Up punch to create the sentiment shape.

Hope you like my make today - I thought it was apt in these times when we need to see rainbows!

Daisy, Daisy....

Hi Lovelies..

I spotted this digital image from Lisa Macvicar at Ella's Designs a few days ago - it's available on Etsy so as soon as it's bought, it's downloaded and colourable - just what we need at the moment!!

I was inspired by Lisa's own card, which had an 'out of the box' circle die cut..  so I've done similar.  It always looks very effective, like the daisies have been placed there.  I did some shading around the petals too, which also helps the flowers pop.

Hope you like my make today.  I'm going to be playing with Alcohol Inks later - wish me luck!

Bellarific Besties

Hi Lovelies...

Today I've gone bold!!  For my Bellarific Friday card I've used really strong colours..  and loved using them!

As this week we're using images that aren't from the current release, I chose to use Curvy Girl Besties..  I love this pair!  I did think about using the Bestie Word Die - but decided against as I thought it needed no more than the image and the shaker background.  Less is more... etc.... etc!

I created a Distress Oxide background for behind the shaker element - so those colours show through quite strongly too.

Card Info:
Die - Sunny Studios Frilly Frames
Distress Oxides - Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/70 R93
Hair - C5/7/9, E21/23/25
Pink Dress - R81/83/85
Purple Dress - V25/22/20/17
White Gel Pen
Sequins

Hope you like my make today as much as I enjoyed making it...  Don't forget to pop over to the Stamping Bella Blog for more DT inspiration - and also to the Sistahood Facebook Page to share all things Bella related.

Have a lovely weekend all... hope you're keeping well clear of this awful virus - I figure if we stay in our craft rooms, we'll be OK... and that's such a good excuse for some crafting time.

A Quick Thanks Card...

Hi Lovelies..

I saw a wonderful card by Cathy Zielske the other day using this technique and wanted to try - it's done by blending four colours of Distress Oxides on a panel to start, then adding a stencil and repeating the colours through the stencil which this time, giving a second darker layer.... so that the hearts show up even though they're stencilled using the same colours... follow my drift?

Anyway - I loved how it came out...  then I chose to use a Simon Says Stamp Thanks Word Die (with shadow) - and added some sequins to finish.  Simple - but effective... yes??

That's it from me today..

Birthday Cake

Hi Peeps..

I have two cards to share today... both using the lovely Birthday Cake Die from MFT.

I used the die twice on two separate shades of pink - so was able to make both these cards with what I'd cut - alternating the colours.  Although I have to say, the second card does look like I used totally different colours - but it's just how the camera picked them up.

Card Info:
MFT Birthday Cake Die
MFT Double Stitched Rectangle Die
MFT Birdie Brown Greetings Galore

Hope you like my cards today as much as I enjoyed making them!
