Hi Lovelies...
Well something a little different from me today! I recently went to a paper-crafting show in Harrogate, and was fascinated by a demo there, showing this fabulous technique.
Of course, I bought the goodies so I could have a play - and I'm loving the result! The demo was by Sweet Poppy Designs, and here I've used their Christmas Wreath. They have lots of YouTube videos if you want to see what I saw, and what tempted me so much!
I used their Stencil Dimensions Paste in Translucent through the stencil - letting it totally dry. THEN... the magic happens! I used their Glimmer Hot Foil in Rose Gold... placed a piece large enough to cover the wreath.. then popped that in to a folded sheet of copier paper, before putting through a laminator (bought specially of course - but cheap enough on Amazon). When it comes through, you just peel the foil off to find it's adhered to the dried paste and looks fabulous!
I had some Rose Gold Glitter card which I used to matt and layer - and also cut the MFT Joy word die from the same card. I layered the word up with a couple of white diecuts behind to give it depth.
It's so very difficult to give you the full idea of what this looks like in real life - the camera in no way picks up the shine that it has.... but you get the idea!
I loved playing - and will be doing a whole lot more like this in the not too distance future with the other stencils I bought! LOL!
Hope you like...
Hugs
