The Gnome with a Lantern...

Hi Peeps..

Yes, it's that time again ...  Bellarific Fridays come around so fast!  But what's not to love about sharing gorgeous Bella goodness?!

We're celebrating the latest release this time, and this little gnome has been waiting for his turn to shine (the lantern of course!).  Now this design came to me about 5 am one morning, and I couldn't wait to get up to try it!  I used some post it tape and a hillside die to create the curves - then blended Distress Inks in the space.  THEN - I used a fabulous background stamp  and some sparkly white embossing powder for the stars..  which twinkle sooooo much!  I even did a video so you can see how they shine!

Card Info:
Background Stamp - Taylored Expressions Twinkle Twinkle
Die - MFT Stitched Rectangle
Distress Inks
Wow Embossing Powder Sparkling Snow
Colouring - Copics

Snow B60 BV31, Beard - T0/1/2, Skin E00/11/04 R20

And to show how it twinkles...

This has got to be one of my favourite makes just lately..  hope you like it too!

Have your Selfie A Merry Little Christmas...

Hi Lovelies...

I'm back today with one of the fabulous images from the MFT Christmas sELFies set on my card.. I have the rest coloured up ready to use, but the time rushes past, and so I thought I'd get my first up and blogged!

I also used the MFT Christmas Background Stamp to create this card, stamping it with Versamark ink onto white card, then heat embossing with clear embossing powder, before using Distress Inks for the reds.  As the clear embossing resists the colour, you get the text in white..

Card Info:
Image and Sentiment - MFT Christmas Selfies Clear Stamp Set
Background - MFT Christmas Background Stamp
Die - Square Spellbinders (used through a rectangle)
Colouring - Copics
Skin - E000/00/11/04, R20
Reds - R24/27/46 E57
Greens - YG17/23 G07
Blues - B21/23
Gold - Y17
Fur - C0/1

I'm loving these little guys...  and know exactly the people that I'll send them to!

Back tomorrow with more...

Christmas Wreath

Hi Lovelies

I've had my water colour paints out for my card today. I fell in love with this beautiful Christmas Wreath digital image by Gracie Ellie Design which I've seen being used recently on Instagram - and so out the paints and watercolour paper came, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I used my Altenew paints - with a tiny touch of Zig Clean Colour markers for the red berries.  I also added a little bit of Copic shading in warm greys, to give depth - along with some Prismacolour Pencil for shadows.  Then I did some white paint splattering - and also added an odd bit of gold leaf here and there.. just to make the wreath sparkle!

The sentiment is an old digi one from Pink Petticoat - sadly, now no longer trading.

Hope you like my make today...  I did love using my paints and need to do it more often!

Mistletoe Joy

Hi Peeps...

Today I'm sharing a shaker card I made using the fabulous MFT Mistletoe Cover Plate that I bought recently at the Harrogate Stamperama Show (ahem.. amongst a few other things I bought!)

Firstly I used my Distress Oxide Inks to colour a white panel - using Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint to give subtle green shades.  Then I diecut using the cover plate.

I adhered acetate behind the cover plate, then I used lots of 3D foam strips around the edge of the diecut piece, and also under some of the leaves too, to give the acetate strength in the middle.  I added some sequins and beads, then added the white panel behind.

I diecut the rectangle frame, then the word from red glitter card - I was happy with the effect.  I added a few Nuvo Drops to create the berries, and it was done.

Card Info:
MFT Mistletoe Cover Plate
MFT A2 Rectangle Frame
MFT Lower Case Alphabet
Sequins and beads
Distress Oxide Inks
Nuvo Drops

Hope you like my make today as much as I enjoyed making it..  it was quite simple to make, as it is mainly diecutting!

More Fuzzy Hugs

Hi Lovelies..

I've been playing with my Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugss set again - and here's what I came up with.

Now I've been watching a technique that Jennifer McGuire did on her wonderful tutorials - using a laminator with a pouch containing lots of snow type confetti.. see it HERE.  Thanks Jennifer - I couldn't wait to try and this is the result.  You can use all sorts in the laminating pouch... glitter, embossing powder...  so much fun!!  It gives a shaker effect - but the pieces stay where they're put!

Card Info:
Image - Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugs
Sentiment - Mama Elephant Mini Merry Messages
Dies - MFT Stitched Rectangle, Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags
Lil' Inkers Stitched Oval, Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside
Colouring - Copics
Her - E30/31/33/35, BG45/49, RV63/17, E23, T0
Him - T0/1/2/3/5, B21/23/24, YG17/23 E23, T0

I decided to go for a little tag with a message on - just added with some rustic twine..  ooh and then I thought it needed the few little gems too.

Another card to add to my Christmas pile...  I'm getting through them this year!

Hope you like my make..

Mistletoe Kisses

Hi Lovelies..

I bought this fabulous new Tall Snowglobe MFT die on the last release...  with the Mistletoe Kisses to match...... and I got to play with them this weekend.

I decided to make a shaker card - so diecut the front panel - adhered the acetate, then used 3D foam tape behind the panel ready to frame the mistletoe.

I diecut three of the mistletoe branches in different coloured green cardstock and the berries in cream - then bunched them together and used the bow die in red... and it was nearly done!

Card Info:
Dies - MFT Tall Snowglobe, MFT Mistletoe Kisses
Stamp - Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler

I've got to say that this card was inspired by a card made by one of the MFT Design Team - though I can't remember which member!  But whoever - thank you for the inspiration!

I'm back with another Bellarific Friday make...  and this time we're featuring images from the Stamp of the Month collection - which this time was Leo the Balancing Lion from the wonderful Stuffies!

With Christmas ever closer - I decided to use this lovely pair - Polar Bear and Mousie..  who are sending their Christmas wishes..

I opted for an aqua colour theme - but with the pop of red.  Lots of T0/1/3's later I'd coloured a 'white' polar bear! LOL!

A Giant Snowflake.... and a simple card!

Hi Peeps

A very simple one from me today using an older Hero Arts large Snowflake stamp that has been in my stash for some time.  I have used it before, but some years back!

I simply stamped the snowflake onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  After doing that, I used some Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry to blend the full panel.  I then polished any colour off the snowflake to show the white below.

I splattered some white Distress Ink Paint too... before finishing with a sentiment and some crystal gems...  and it was done!

I'm happy with how it turned out!

Natalie and the Nutcracker

Hi Peeps...

It's time for another Bellarific Friday - we're using some of the wonderful stamps that are available that aren't from the current release.  One of my favourites from last year was this gorgeous Natalie and The Nutcracker (minus the Nutcracker in this case)..  I just LOVE her fabulous skirt!

Of course, she deserved glitter - so that's what I gave her... lots!  I love the sentiment too..  makes sense to me.

Colouring - Copics
Skin - E0000/000/00/11 R20

Sending Snuggly Hugs

Hi there...

I'm back with another little snowman from the Sunny Studio Feeling Frosty stamp set.  I created a Distress Ink Blended background by masking a circle and blending through.  I then added a couple of small snowy hillsides, with a couple of little trees too... before splattering with white Distress Paint to create the snow.

I hadn't originally planned to put the frame around the background - but when I tried it, I was happier with the way it looked - so went with it.

Hope you like my make today.  I'm certainly getting into the swing of my Christmas cards - who knows? this year I may not end up having to run out and buy more!
