Hi Lovely Blogging Friends..
Well......... the wedding came!! My eldest daughter got married to her lovely new husband on Saturday up at Castle Bolton in the Yorkshire Dales.... and it couldn't have been more perfect in any way!! The sun shone... and just everything went perfectly!! (photos below!) I've got to say a massive well done to Emma for all the organisation she did in just a few months... I think she may missed her vocation - she should be a wedding planner! Mind you, I think it's probably different when it's your own wedding you're planning...
Soooooo this is the card I made for her and Joe.... I'll freely admit I case'd it totally from a card I'd seen on Pinterest by C
ristina 'Yainea' Nunez (from My Paper Journey) - when I spotted it I knew it was so perfect for them as they're both keen cyclists who think nothing of cycling through Europe together... but not on a tandem! I changed the design slightly - but the sunset and grass etc, and the fancy fold are not my design and I have to give full credit to Christina!
Card Info:
Image - Lawn Fawn Bicycle Made For You
Distress Ink Background (Worn Lipstick and Scattered Straw)
Colouring - Copics
Dies - Lawn Fawn Grass Edge, MFT Clouds
They were so thrilled with the card - it made me really happy to see them open it!
Now..... photos!!! (if you click on them, they go larger..)
(Iced by Joe's 93 year old Grandma!!)
My two lovely daughters - how proud am I!!!
(LOVED my hat!)
The Venue - Bolton Castle, Castle Bolton, Swaledale, Yorkshire
(some of my input.. though I didn't do the napkin or make the gin - the booze was down to Emma and Joe! I also did the hessian table runners, the table plan, the menus, the order of the days..... etc.... etc)
Sorry to overload the photos... but hope you can get a glimpse of how perfectly the day went.. there was even a ceilidh in the evening with lots of fun!
Big hugs
